NCT ID: NCT06009536 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Achilles Tendinopathy

Does Resistance Training Protocol Change Micromorphology in Achilles Tendinopathy?

Start date: January 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This work is designed as a prospective cohort study, in which the effects of a protocol of 12-week resistance training loading the Achilles tendon in patients with Achilles tendinopathy (AT) will be monitored. It is estimated that at least 20 patients will participate. In addition, there will be a small control group of healthy participants which will not complete the same protocol, but will be monitored for natural changes in same objectives. Group of patients will be instructed to perform a training protocol.

NCT ID: NCT06001944 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Lateral Epicondylitis

Investigation of the Efficacy of Blood Flow Restricted Training in Lateral Elbow Tendinopathy

Start date: April 11, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The investigators believe that blood flow-restricted training can result in increased caste hypertrophy and strength without stressing the tendon in lateral elbow tendinopathy, and that changes in local metabolic activities can be effective in the process of tendon healing. The researchers' aim in the study is to investigate the effectiveness of blood flow restriction training in lateral elbow tendinopathy for 8 weeks, in addition to the 2 days a week multi-modal physiotherapy program, which will be applied by limiting blood flow by 40-50% occlusion recommended for the upper extremity using the patient's systolic pressure to the severity of 20-30% of 1 maximum repetition, 75 repetitions including 30-15-15-15 repetitions and 30 seconds rest period between sets, remaining attached to the recommended 10-15 minutes period for the top extremity.

NCT ID: NCT05998785 Suspended - Clinical trials for Insertional Achilles Tendinopathy

Embody Insertional Achilles Tendinopathy

IAT
Start date: August 2, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the long-term effects on ankle/Achilles tendon pain after repair of insertional Achilles tendinopathy (IAT) augmented with TAPESTRY Biointegrative Implant.

NCT ID: NCT05969652 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Subacromial Impingement Syndrome

Comparison of the Effectiveness Heavy Slow Resistance and Eccentric Training in Rotator Cuff Tendinopathy

Start date: March 31, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Rotator cuff tendinopathy, also called subbracromial impingement syndrome, is one of the most important causes of anterior shoulder pain. Although exercise training is known as an effective intervention method in the treatment of rotator cuff/subacromial impingement problems, there is no definite consensus on which type of exercise is more effective. The aim of this study is to analyze and compare the effects of the Heavy Slow Resistance (HSR) training and eccentric exercise training on pain, function, supraspinatus tendon structure, muscle strength, range of motion, subjective perception of improvement and treatment satisfaction in individuals with subacromial shoulder pain associated with rotator cuff tendinopathy.

NCT ID: NCT05950022 Recruiting - Tendinopathy Clinical Trials

Clinical Improvement Obtained by Endoscopic Ilio-Psoas Tenotomy (Lesser Trochanter Versus Acetabular Notch)

ETIPIC
Start date: December 19, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to assess Oxford Hip Score at baseline, at 2 months and at over 12 months.

NCT ID: NCT05919914 Enrolling by invitation - Clinical trials for Lateral Epicondylitis

The Effects of a Wrist Extensors Exercise With Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) in Lateral Elbow Tendinopathy.

BFR
Start date: April 29, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

A randomized cross-over trial comparing the immediate effects of a wrist extensor exercise with and without blood flow restriction (BFR) on pain perception in patients with lateral elbow tendinopathy (LET).

NCT ID: NCT05897866 Completed - Rotator Cuff Tear Clinical Trials

Sayed Issa's Hybrid Shoulder Arthroscopic-Open Surgical Management (HSSM)

HLSSM
Start date: September 1, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Sayed Issa's Hybrid Shoulder Arthroscopic-Open Surgical Management (HSSM) is a limited lateral approach to the shoulder arthroscopically guided. Which achieves less surgical trauma and smaller surgical incision than even in Mini Lateral Shoulder Approach (MLSA).

NCT ID: NCT05817578 Not yet recruiting - Rotator Cuff Tears Clinical Trials

Profiling the RCRSP Patient: a Pain Phenotype Classification Algorithm

Start date: September 2, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The aim of this study is to collect a sum of different characteristics that have been mentioned previously in people presenting with RCRSP and by clustering them to create a phenotype system which may assist the individualisation of their management

NCT ID: NCT05809622 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Lateral Epicondylitis

Upper Extremity-based Exercises and Elbow-focused Exercises in LET

Start date: April 10, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of the study is to investigate the effects of rotator cuff and scapular muscle strengthening exercises applied in addition to the 8-week elbow focused rehabilitation program in lateral elbow tendinopathy, by comparing it with the elbow focused rehabilitation program.

NCT ID: NCT05793918 Completed - Clinical trials for Supraspinatus Tendinitis

Percutaneous Electrolysis, Ultrasound-guided Percutaneous Neuromodulation Therapy and Eccentric Exercise in Supraspinatus Tendinopathy.

Start date: March 13, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The supraspinatus muscle tendinopathy show a big impact, however, there is a lack of awareness about the options of the physiotherapist treatment. It is necessary to do studies about effectiveness of therapeutic percutaneous electrolysis and neuromodulation. This technique enables treatment of the tendinopathies. To analyze the effectiveness of therapeutic percutaneou electrolysis and neuromodulation in the treatment of supraspinatus muscle tendinopathy. Single center randomized controlled trial, parallel treatment design. A specialist physician will be diagnosed the supraspinatus muscle tendinopathy. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive treatmen for 4 weeks: percutaneou electrolysis and neuromodulation associated with eccentric exercises or conventional treatment of Physiotherapy with the same eccentric exercises. Both interventions were performed under ultrasound guidance with a portable ultrasound (General Electric LogicE). Data will be collected by a blinded evaluator.
