View clinical trials related to Tachycardia.
Filter by:The purpose of this registry is to collect information on the health status of patients receiving Marquis/Maximo VR Implantable Cardiac Defibrillators (ICDs), how the devices are being programmed and how this correlates to clinical patient outcome.
A retrospective chart review will be performed on 50 patients who received RFA for the treatment of EAT between August 1992 and August 2003 at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. The use of the CARTO/Biosense catheter has improved outcomes with decreased radiation exposure to patients.
This trial is designed to study the effects of various mechanistically unique medications in controlling excessive increases in heart rate with standing and in improving the symptoms of orthostatic intolerance in patients with this disorder.
This is an open parallel design randomized trial of amiodarone plus a beta blocker vs a beta blocker alone vs sotalol for the prevention of ICD shocks in patients receiving an ICD for spontaneous or inducible ventricular tachycardia or fibrillation
Patients complaining of tachycardia but with a negative Holter ECG, are for a limited time period offered a simplified electrophysiological(EP) examination. By a full electrophysiological study(EP study)electrodes are introduced for pacing and sensing i all four heart chambers. Where as by the mini invasive EP study only one electrode is introduced to the right atrium. The simplified procedure represent a smaller risk of complications, requires less resources but should yield the same diagnoses in more than 90% of the cases. The study is a feasibility study to see if the procedure can discover arrythmias in a fairly unselected patient population.
We performed a prophylactic peroperative linear 1-minute cryolesion connecting the tricuspid annulus and right atriotomy to prevent IART on 15 consecutive adult patients undergoing surgery for congenital heart disease. Conduction time between electrodes placed on both sides of the cryolesion was measured on the second postoperative day. Coronary angiography and electrophysiology study using an electroanatomic mapping system to assess conduction across the line were performed three month after the operation on 13 patients.
Primary objective: - to assess the efficacy of SSR149744C for the prevention of ventricular arrhythmia-triggered ICD interventions. Secondary objectives: - to assess versus placebo the tolerability of the different dose regimens of SSR149744C in the selected population. - to document SSR149744C plasma level during the study.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the processing of cannabis, and to investigate the occurrence of effects of cannabis on the cardiovascular system and the central nervous system; at higher levels of exposure.
In this randomized study, two energy sources for the ablation of AV nodal reentry tachycardia are compared: The standard technique of radiofrequency energy delivery is compared with the new approach of cryo-energy application.
The DAVID II Clinical Study evaluates the hypothesis that, in patients needing an ICD but without overt indications for pacing, AAI pacing with maximal concomitant drug therapy will not increase the rate of the combined endpoint of mortality or hospitalization for new or worsened heart failure as compared to patients with ventricular backup pacing.
