Filter by:COPD and sleep apnea dyspnea syndrome represent two of the most common chronic lung diseases. It is reported that the prevalence of COPD with sleep apnea dyspnea syndrome is also very high. COPD and sleep apnea may have pathological or genetics interactions so that patients having both disorders tend to have worse outcomes than either condition alone. Data reflecting the prevalence, disease course and outcome of overlap syndrome is very limited in China. Therefore, the aim of the study is to describe the prevalence, treatment and outcome in Chinese patients and exploring the underlying interaction mechanism.
Forty-five subjects receiving no dietary therapy with a proven G1D diagnosis will be enrolled. To evaluate the effect of C7 supplementation of a regular diet on a EEG activity in addition to IQ, language, working memory, processing speed, emotional and behavioral functioning, ataxia, and other neuropsychological and neurological performance indices in children and adults genetically diagnosed with G1D receiving a regular diet at enrollment.
This study plans to learn more about how the energy system works in girls with Turner syndrome. This is important to know so that the investigators understand how Turner syndrome relates to diseases such as diabetes, extra weight gain, heart disease and liver disease, and how this impacts day to day life.
carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is the most common compression syndrome in the upper extremities, CTS is characterized by typical anatomic changes, the most probable swelling of the median nerve in the proximal part of the CT. Local infiltration of corticosteroids easily leads to atrophy of the median nerve, subcutaneous fat, and systematic complications, surgical treatment decision is always taken by the patient who sometimes wants to delay or avoid the surgery because of psychological or medical concerns, It would be interesting if low molecular weight sodium hyaluorinate injection is used as an alternative conservative treatment of CTS. This study aims to investigate if, and to what extent, hydro-dissection using 1% lidocain followed by injection of Sodium hyaluronate versus 1% lidocain followed by injection of 40 mg of triamcinolone acetonide, under ultrasound guidance.
A cross-sectional study of 350 medical student Universitas Indonesia from first grade until fifth grade was done during November-December 2016. This study used stratified randomized sampling. The Rome IV criteria was used for diagnosing IBS. Questionnaire-guided interview was applied to all subjects.
Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is a common peripheral entrapment neuropathy, this study aims to investigate if, and to what extent hydro-dissection hyalase and saline of the median nerve could offer symptoms and clinical improvement
Li-Fraumeni Syndrome (LFS) is a cancer predisposition disorder in which most affected individuals develop cancer during their lifetime. The majority of LFS patients carry a mutation in a gene called TP53, whose normal function is to control cell growth and prevent cells with damaged DNA from becoming cancerous. There is currently no way to determine when, where or what type of tumour will develop. This project will use novel techniques utilizing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to determine how sensitive they are at detecting very small tumors and how specific they are in terms of distinguishing malignant tumors from benign tumors.
[Updated]: To assess the safety and tolerability of ONO-7475 monotherapy in patients with relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia or relapsed or refractory myelodysplastic syndromes and to assess: i) safety and tolerability and ii) preliminary efficacy of the combination of ONO-7475 and venetoclax in patients with relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia.
XePOHCAS: Prospective, randomized, multicenter interventional trial in adult subjects with out-of-hospital cardiac arrest comparing treatment with standard-of-care post-cardiac arrest intensive care (which is targeted temperature management [TTM]) to xenon by inhalation plus standard-of-care post-cardiac arrest intensive care (including TTM).
The primary objective of this study is to determine the safety and tolerability of utilizing the insulin-like growth factor-1-methotrexate conjugate, 765IGF-MTX for the treatment of advanced, previously treated myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML) and oligoblastic acute myelogenous leukemia (oligoblastic AML or O-AML), including determining the maximum tolerated dose (MTD).
