Intraoral mandibular advancement appliances reduce the number of apneas and hypopneas. The investigators hypothesized that oral appliances provided to the elderly may prevent hypertension and other consequences of sleep apnea in large populations, at a favorable cost/benefit relationship for the public health system.
This is a pilot study to investigate the efficacy and safety of the Negative Pressure Sleep Therapy System for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea.
This investigation is designed to evaluate the at-home usability, performance, user acceptance and reliability of the Headgear with a CPAP Mask for a duration of 2-4 weeks.
In this prospective trial 50 patients, diagnosed with moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) (AHI > 15/h sleep) will be included and treated with mandibular advancement devices (MAD). These patients will undergo cardiovascular examination; echocardiography and 24h-blood pressure monitoring, on top of the normal clinical evaluation of OSA patients. These cardiovascular examinations will take place before and during MAD therapy.
Randomized study on pediatric OSA with 2 groups: mild-moderate OSA and severe OSA. Mild-moderate are randomized to either expectancy or ATE. Severe are randomized to either ATE or APP. Pediatric age span of 2 until 4,9 years.
Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) is seen in approximately 6% of Americans. It is a serious medical condition with significant medical and psychological consequences, including diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular disease. The treatment of choice for OSA is Positive Airway Pressure therapy (PAP). PAP supplies positive pressure to the upper airway creating a "pneumatic splint" to keep the airway open during sleep. Adherence to PAP is notoriously low, with as few as 50% reaching minimal guidelines for adherence. One comprehensive review of adherence research found that adherence to PAP was less than that for any other medical disorder. The problem of adherence is significant not only because of the medical consequences that can ensue, but also because third party payers have begun to refuse to pay for PAP therapy when adherence is less than optimal, even in the face of clinical improvement. This is a critical time to address this problem. This research study is designed to identify methods that may help people respond to PAP, the most common therapy for OSA. Identifying these methods may be an important way to better care for patients with obstructive sleep apnea. With this research, the investigators hope to find ways to help people have a better response to treatment and a better quality of life.
Comparative two methods of adenoidectomy means the coblation adenoidectomy with the cold dissection adenoidectomy specifically inquire which method is safer and more efficient.
A prospective open-label, single treatment study to assess the safety and the performance of the Nyxoah SAT system for the treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea
This is a pilot to review the feasibility of a program that assists patients towards therapy compliance by scheduled intervention through the first month of therapy. The hypothesis of this study is that the trial program will function as intended and average patient adherence will be over 4 hours per night.
This study aims to determine the average compliance of a patient under CPAP therapy for obstructive sleep apnea as well as the various factors that influence it.
