Filter by:Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the main cause of dementia. At present, AD is incurable. Memantine is recommended for the treatment of moderate and severe AD patients. Sodium oligomannate (GV-971) is a marine-derived oligosaccharide. It is proposed that it can reconstitute the gut microbiota, and inhibit neuroinflammation in the brain as observed in animal models. It reduces Aβ deposition in the brain of Aβ-transgenic mice. The reduction in both Aβ deposition and neuroinflammation may synergistically contribute to the improvement of cognitive impairment and delay the progress of the disease. China Food and Drug Administration(CFDA)approved it for the treatment of mild to moderate AD in 2019. Due to the different mechanism of memantine and GV-971, theoretically, they may synergistically improve cognitive function and delay disease progression. However, there is a lack of data on their effectiveness and safety. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy and safety of memantine and GV-971 monotherapy and combination therapy in patients with moderate to severe AD, which is of great significance for guiding the treatment of moderate and severe AD.
Stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) has emerged as an effective and safe treatment for low and intermediate-risk prostate cancer(PCa). However, there is no study that has investigated the effectiveness and safety of SBRT with pelvic radiation and gross target volume(GTV) boost for high-risk prostate cancer patients yet. The investigators designed a phase II clinical study of SBRT with pelvic radiation and GTV boost based on mpMRI in patients with high-risk prostate cancer.
20-60 participants are expected to be enrolled for the Phase I clinical trial which is further divided into two parts: a "3+3" dose escalation study and an expanded enrollment study. The Phase I clinical trial is expected to be finished in 36 months. To be specific, the dose escalation study plans to include patients with advanced malignant solid tumors with clear pathological diagnosis, including melanoma, cervical cancer, head and neck squamous cell tumors, non-small cell lung cancer and breast cancer, etc.; while the expanded enrollment study plans to include those with melanoma, cervical cancer, and head and neck squamous cell tumors.
Gastroenteroscopy diagnosis and treatment drugs need to meet the needs of quick onset, quick recovery and less anesthesia complications. Remimazolam is an anesthetic sedative independently developed by China. It is a new short-acting GABA(A) receptor agonist. Remimazolam has the advantages of rapid onset, rapid recovery, antagonist, controllable degree of cardiovascular and respiratory depression, low incidence of hypotension and respiratory depression. However, elderly patients as important and special patients, there are still a lack of relevant studies and reports. In order to verify the safety and effectiveness of remimazolam in the gastroenteroscopy treatment of elderly patients, it can reduce the incidence of intraoperative hypotension or respiratory depression rate, improve the quality of recovery of elderly patients.
This study will test the safety and effects of SBT115301 when given as a single dose to healthy adult volunteers. It is the first study being done in humans. Increasing dose levels will be given after the safety at lower dose levels is shown. Some participants will receive placebo, and neither the participants or the study staff will know what drug (SBT115301 or placebo) is being given.
The fasting bioequivalence test adopts the experimental design of single center, single oral administration, random, open, two sequence, two cycle crossover and self-control.
This is a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group trial investigating the effect of 4 weeks bi-daily dosing of XEN-D0501 on blood glucose reduction as add-on to metformin in patients with diabetes mellitus type 2 where life style changes and treatment with metformin has failed to effectively reduce blood glucose concentrations.
Anti-PD-L1 immune checkpoint inhibitor, is approved for the treatment of patients with unresectable, Stage III NSCLC whose disease has not progressed following concurrent platinum-based chemotherapy and radiation therapy, or as first-line treatment of patients with ES-SCLC in combination with etoposide and either carboplatin or cisplatin in China. The clinical data regarding the PD-L1 inhibitor in other solid tumors are limited.Investigators would observe and analyze the effectiveness and safety of PD-L1 inhibitor for patients with advanced - solid tumors beyond lung cancer after muti-line therapy to explore the synergistic effect of PD-L1 inhibitor rechallenge after PD-1immunotherapy.
The main objective of this study was to evaluate the immunogenicity and safety of the booster dose of COVID-19 inactivated vaccine and co-immunization with quadrivalent influenza vaccine and 23-valent pneumonia polysaccharide vaccine in people aged 18 years and older. A randomized controlled, open trial design was adopted. The study was conducted with informed consent of the subjects for immunogenicity and safety in the population aged 18 years and older. A total of 3000 healthy subjects were selected, (1)600 healthy subjects were selected for the immunogenicity and safety study of co-immunization, 300 in the adult group (18-59 years old) and 300 in the elderly group (60 years old and above); (2) 2400 healthy subjects were selected for the observational study of the safety of co-immunization, 1200 in the adult group (18-59 years old) and 1200 in the elderly group (60 years old and above ) 1200 people.
This is a multi-center, non-randomized, open label study. Subjects will be enrolled on a walk-in basis. Screening data will be reviewed to determine subject eligibility. Subjects who meet all inclusion criteria and none of the exclusion criteria will be entered into the study. All children will be exposed to non-radioactive 13C-Urea with citric acid, and shall submit a stool sample. Centers will house a PyloPlus UBT Analyzer to document results. PyloPlus Analyzer results shall remain blinded to the investigator and treating physician. No patient management decisions should be made based on the investigational PyloPlus® UBT System. Treating physician will prescribe a H. Pylori Stool Antigen Test to Stool test at either LabCorp or Quest Diagnostic, for the patient, which will be used for diagnostic purposes by the ordering physician. Total duration of study is anticipated to be approximately 6 months.
