View clinical trials related to Rhinitis.
Filter by:A national, multicenter, randmised double blind study with parallell arms. 360 patients with grass induced allergic rhinitis will be open randomised 1:2 to 3 years Grazax sublingual immunotherapy or 3 intralymphatic injections with ALK Alutard Timothy. In a second step, the ILIT group will be double blind randomised 1:1 to an intramuscular injection of Vitamin D Vicotrat or placebo, 4 week before the start of the intralymphatic treatment. The primary outcome measure is daily combined symptoms and medication scores during grass pollen season.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Azelastine HCl-Fluticasone propionate Nasal Spray 137-50 mcg/spray compared to Dymista™ in patients with perennial allergic rhinitis
Allergic rhinitis (AR) affects large population worldwide, the most commonly used medication include anti-histamine, nasal spray and anti-LTRAs inhibitors (leukotriene receptor antagonists), Even after those first-line treatment, there is still a large number of patient (~20%) are not well/adequately controlled. Anti-IgE antibody has been approved to treat moderate to severe AR by PMDA/Japan in 2020, demonstrating the efficacy of IgE blockade in the treatment of allergic rhinitis. The current study presents a novel anti-IgE antibody (LP-003) with higher affinity to IgE, stronger efficacy and longer half-life.
This is a Phase I/Ib, randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled study of INI-2004, administered as single or multiple doses. This study will be conducted in two parts: Phase I single ascending dose (SAD) and Phase Ib multiple ascending dose (MAD).
Allergic rhinitis (AR) is a non-infectious chronic inflammatory disease of the nasal mucosa mainly mediated by immunoglobulin E after exposure to allergens in atopic individuals. The typical symptoms of AR are paroxysmal sneezing, watery rhinorrhea, itching, and nasal congestion, which may be accompanied by ocular symptoms, including eye itching, tearing, redness, and burning sensation, which are more common in patients with hay fever allergies. Bronchial asthma is associated with bronchial asthma in 40% of patients with AR, suggesting a comorbid feature of allergic disease.
Allergic rhinitis is a chronic respiratory disorder affecting patients' quality of life and work performance. Pharmacists are identified as suitable professionals to deliver patient education and pharmaceutical care in managing allergic rhinitis (AR) patients. Local clinical practice guidelines in Malaysia are lacking, especially in pharmaceutical care in public healthcare institutions. This study protocol describes a randomised control trial (RCT) that aims to determine the effectiveness of a pharmacist-led educational model in managing AR (AR-PRISE Model) compared to standard pharmaceutical care. The AR-PRISE model delivers patient educational material (video) and an algorithm for pharmaceutical care.
Allergy is defined as a specific abnormal and excessive reaction of the immune system to exposed allergen . This reaction is reproducible with each new exposure allergen . A recent study by The European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology" (EAACI) estimates that 30% of the population suffers from allergic rhinitis and/or conjunctivitis, 20% of children suffer from asthma, and 8% of the population suffers from food allergies in Europe, with a clear increase in prevalence. Allergenic immunotherapy (AIT) remains a corner stone in the treatment of allergic diseases. It involves administering an increasing dose of allergens to induce immunological tolerance. The efficacy and safety of ITA have already been demonstrated. However, patient response is highly heterogeneous. This findinf illustrates the value of biomarkers in the selection of patients, enabling prediction of response to ITA and follow-up.
Rhinitis is a type of upper respiratory infection with a common nasal pathology especially in Southeast Asia, which is characterized by the presence of one or more of the following symptoms: itchy nose, sneezing, runny nose, and nasal congestion. Other symptoms occasionally experienced include headache, excessive pain reaction, cough, fever. Rhinitis can be idiopathic or due to a variety of causes, including allergens, medications, endocrine/metabolic, infectious, inflammatory, and abnormal nasal structures. The treatment of acute rhinosinusitis and allergic rhinitis in hospitals is currently carried out according to the general professional guidance of the Vietnam Ministry of Health. Most patients are prescribed corticosteroids, antihistamines, and antibiotics for immediate decongestion and anti-inflammatory effects. Current concerns about antimicrobial resistance (AMR) as well as side effects of corticosteroids and antihistamines have led to an urgent need for a naturebased next generation therapeutic approach that is safe, effective and helps in addressing the issues of AMR. The goal of this interventional study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of postbiotic nasal spray using inert bioparticles of Bacillus subtilis DSM32444 in treatment of acute rhinosinusitis; and to compare the efficacy against Neomycin/Dexamethasone//Xylometazoline administered as a nasal spray as an adjunct to Amoxicillin/Clavulanate standard treatment in patients with acute rhinosinusitis. Patients with acute rhinosinusitis who give consent to participate in the study will be randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to one of two groups using postbiotic of Bacillus subtilis DSM32444 nasal spray ("Sperovid") or Neomycin/ Dexamethasone nasal spray for a period of 10 days. Investigators will compare whether the nasal spray using postbiotic Bacillus subtilis DSM32444 has similar efficacy as compared to Neomycin/Dexamethasone/Xylometazoline nasal spray as an adjuvant therapy along with the standard Amoxicillin/Clavulanate regimen in patients with acute rhinosinusitis based on time to improvement of rhinosinusitis symptoms.
This randomized control trial study aims to know the effects of adding 2,5% Binahong extract on the effectiveness of NaCl 0.9% nasal irrigation in patients with allergic rhinitis. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. How does the efficacy of Binahong Extract 2,5% with 0,9% NaCl to mRNA expression (IL-4, Il-6, IL-13, and TNF-α)? 2. How does the efficacy of Binahong Extract 2,5% with 0,9% NaCl to clinical symptoms? 3. How does the efficacy of Binahong Extract 2,5% with 0,9% NaCl to quality of life? 4. How does the efficacy of Binahong Extract 2,5% with 0,9% NaCl to physiology? Participants will use nasal irrigation two times daily for two weeks. Researchers will compare the nasal irrigation group using a combination of Binahong Extract 2,5% with the group using NaCl only to see the superior effect.
The goal of this observational PMCF study is to confirm the efficacy and safety of the medical device KalobaNaso (a nasal spray) in children, adolescents and adults with common cold symptoms, such as runny nose, nasal congestion and rhinitis. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Is the product effective in the treatment of common cold symptoms? - Is the product safe? After buying the product, participants will be asked to fill in a questionnaire, in order to: 1. Assess the cold symptoms before the use of the nasal spray. 2. Assess the resolution of cold symptoms after the use of the nasal spray. 3. Describe the adverse effect(s)/problem(s) observed while using the product (if any).
