View clinical trials related to Pancreatic Neoplasms.
Filter by:The aims of this study are to determine the natural history of pancreatic cysts and to propose and prospectively validate a diagnostic approach and model for prediction of mucinous versus non-mucinous, and malignant versus non-malignant, pancreatic cysts using a combination of clinical, radiologic, and biomarker characteristics.
This is a randomized multicentre phase II trial with a large translational component. The trial will evaluate the two standard chemotherapy regimens: modified folfirinox (mFFX) and gemcitabine/nab-paclitaxel (GA), in patients with untreated metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. Integrated into this phase II trial are a number of laboratory components including molecular profiling, patient derived organoid establishment, and drug testing sensitivity and other biomarkers.
Pancreatic cancer is one of the few cancers whose survival rate has not improved significantly due to high local recurrence and systemic metastasis despite advances in diagnosis and treatment over the past 40 years. And currently pancreatic cancer is the fifth leading cause of cancer-related death in Korea. For this reason, various anti-cancer therapies and radiotherapy have been tested to improve survival. Due to recent advances in radiotherapy technology, proton beam therapy (PBT) is a promising treatment for pancreatic cancer because it can reduce radiation dose from surrounding normal tissue while maximizing radiation to tumor tissues due to the distinct physical properties of proton beam. Low toxicity have been reported. In addition, retrospective analysis of pancreatic cancer patients (n=37) who performed proton therapy (PBT) from June 2013 to July 2016 showed promising therapeutic performance and less toxicity (survival rate, 19.3 months; Grade ≥ 3 Toxicity, 0%). In addition, gene polymorphisms of several genes (CD44, CD166, XAF1, MMP9, MUC1/4, SMAD7, SMAD4 (DPC), RRM1, ERCC1, HER2, etc.) in pancreatic cancer have been reported to be associated with recurrence and prognosis.
The purpose of the Phase 1/2a study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of SNK01 in combination with trastuzumab or cetuximab in order to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD)/recommended Phase 2 dose (RP2D), and the preliminary efficacy for each combination regimen.
A national, multicenter, randomized, prospective, parallel group clinical study to evaluate two therapeutic strategies (invaginating pancreatogastric anastomosis versus Blumgart anastomosis).
Standard chemoradiation, followed by surgery are standard treatment plan for patients suffering from pancreatic adenocarcinoma. Due to damage to the surrounding healthy tissue caused by standard radiation, this study uses a new type of radiation plan- pulsed low-dose rate (PLDR) radiation , in combination with chemotherapeutic drug, gemcitabine, given weekly along with the radiation.
This trial tests new methods and materials for the real-time chemotherapy-associated side effects monitoring support system (RT-CAMSS) in patients with gastrointestinal cancers undergoing chemotherapy. RT-CAMSS is a monitoring support system that provides patients with evidence-based information and side-effect management and coping skills, emotional support and validation, and proactive care via text messages and questionnaires as they undergo chemotherapy.
This is an open-label, phase 2 study of Pembrolizumab in combination with chemotherapy in chemotherapy-naïve advanced pancreatic cancer
The study is particularly innovative as it will accurately analyze the microscopic characteristics of the stroma, tumor budding and mucin expression in adenocarcinomas of the pancreas, using a comparative approach of long-survivor/short-survival patients.
This is a prospective single-center observational study with the mail objective to identify specific subgroups of patients planned for pancreatic resection, at high risk for postoperative morbidity and impaired recovery through preoperative screening of physical, functional, nutritional and psychological risk factors using patient reported questionnaires and performance tests. Consecutive patients planned for pancreatic resection will be enrolled to screen for physical, functional, nutritional and psychological risk factors. The study duration is 3 years: 2 years of recruitment and 1 year of follow-up. The findings of the present study will enable researchers to identify specific risk categories to plan personalized prehabilitation programs and modulate oncologic treatment strategies in cancer patients planned for pancreatic surgery.
