NCT ID: NCT04937322 Completed - Pancreas Cancer Clinical Trials

Radio Frequency Ablation in the Management of Pancreatico-biliary Disorders: A Multicenter Registry.

Start date: January 25, 2016
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Bile duct cancer and pancreatic cancer are cancers that cannot be surgically removed. As the cancer grows, it blocks the drainage of the bile ducts that carry digestive juices from the gallbladder and pancreas to the small intestine. ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) is often prescribed during which a tube with a tiny camera attached is inserted through the subject's mouth and advanced to a place in the small intestine where the bile duct empties. Through this scope the doctor enlarges the ducts with tiny balloons and places plastic or metal stents (straws) that help keep the bile ducts open so they can drain properly. However, due to the cancer, the stents are blocked eventually. The purpose of this registry is to record information and evaluate the impact of endoscopic radiofrequency ablation (RFA) probes in improving the management of bile duct cancer or pancreatic cancer by ablating the tissue in the bile duct(s) before the stent(s) are implanted. By using radiofrequency (RF) energy to heat the tissue in the duct(s) prior to stent(s) insertion, the surrounding tissue becomes coagulated and this may delay tumor growth and the time before the stent lumen becomes blocked. Thereby, allowing increased periods between the need for intervention and further stent implantation(s). The registry will evaluate the efficacy and safety of RFA procedures conducted for pancreatico-biliary disorders

NCT ID: NCT04893408 Completed - Pancreatic Cancer Clinical Trials

Pancreatic Surgery in Elderly Patients

Start date: January 1, 2010
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Pancreatic cancer is mainly seen among elderly subjects as more than 85 % of all patients are diagnosed after 60 years of age. Pancreatic surgery in the elderly is usually well tolerated, and the postoperative mortality has decreased and today is less than 5 % in high-volume centers. When offering an old patient pancreatic surgery for a malignant disease it is important to evaluate not only the probability that the patient may survive the operation, but also the relevance of an operation in relation to the patient's remnant life expectancy and other treatment options than surgery. This problem has not been addressed in most studies on pancreatic surgery in the elderly, in which the outcome after surgery was the end point. The endpoints of the present study are the post-operative survival and surgical complications after major pancreatic surgery in all patients operated in the study period, and the long-term survival of patients operated for adenocarcinomas. These endpoints were set from the assumption that the postoperative mortality is related to age and comorbidity, while the long-term survival is influenced by the primary disease.

NCT ID: NCT04852679 Completed - Clinical trials for Gastroenteropancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumor

Study to Assess the Efficacy and Safety of Lanreotide Autogel® in Chinese Participants With GEP-NETs

PALACE
Start date: May 24, 2021

The study will include a screening period of up to 4 weeks followed by a 48-week intervention period. After completion of the main study period, approximately five participants will continue in a self/partner injection cohort with lanreotide Autogel 120 mg every 28 days for 24 weeks.

NCT ID: NCT04807972 Completed - Pancreatic Cancer Clinical Trials

Study to Evaluate Adverse Events and Change in Disease Activity When Intravenous (IV) Infusion of ABBV-927 is Administered in Combination With IV Modified FOLFIRINOX (mFFX) With or Without IV Budigalimab Compared to mFFX in Adult Participants With Untreated Pancreatic Cancer Metastasis

Start date: May 28, 2021
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer Disease is one of the most aggressive and deadliest forms of cancer with very poor survival. This study will evaluate adverse events and change in disease activity in participants 18 to 75 years of age with a body weight greater than or equal to 35 kg with Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer Disease treated with Intravenous (IV) infusion of modified FOLFIRINOX (mFFX) combined with IV infusions of ABBV-927 with or without Budigalimab. ABBV-927 and Budigalimab are the investigational drugs being developed for treatment of Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer Disease. In this study, doctors will enroll participants between 18 and 75 years of age with a body weight greater than or equal to 35 kg diagnosed diagnosed with Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer Disease in 4 different groups, called treatment arms. Each group will receive different treatments. Approximately 129 adult participants will be enrolled in the study across approximately 27 sites worldwide. Participants will receive ABBV-927 and Budigalimab as Intravenous (IV) Infusion in Phase 1b and Phase 2 on day 3 of every 28 day cycle, modified FOLFIRINOX as IV Infusion in Phase 1b and Phase 2 on Day1 and Day 15 of every 28 day cycle up to maximum of 2 years. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at a hospital or clinic. The effect of the treatment will be checked by medical assessments, blood tests, checking for side effects and completing questionnaires.

NCT ID: NCT04790695 Completed - Clinical trials for Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer

Single Patient Protocol for an NRG1 Fusion Positive Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer Patient Using Seribantumab

Start date: March 29, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

NRG1 gene fusions are extremely rare across solid tumours (estimate 0.3-0.5%). However, it is felt to be an actionable and potentially major growth pathway for those tumours that harbour this gene rearrangement. Tumours that harbour NRG1 fusions are driven by HER3 overactivation. Seribantumab is a mono-clonal antibody against HER3, it binds HER3 and inhibits NRG1-dependent activation and HER2 dimerization.
