Filter by:This is a prospective, multicentre randomised, phase II clinical trial, with randomisation 2:1 by minimisation and stratification by tumour stage, planned chemotherapy and institution.
The drug for this submission is Hope Biosciences' allogeneic, first blood relative, adipose-derived culture-expanded mesenchymal stem cells (HB-adMSCs) for the treatment of a single patient with Pancreatic Cancer (PC). PC is an extremely infiltrative neoplasm that usually presents with vascular and perineural invasion in surgically resected tumors. Metastases to lymph nodes, liver and distant sites are all very common. Its incidence has markedly increased over the past several decades and ranks as the fourth leading cause of cancer death in the United States. Despite the high mortality rate associated with pancreatic cancer, its etiology is poorly understood. PC patients experience physiological symptoms such as anemia, ascites, severe fatigue, pain, cachexia, weakness, insomnia, confusion, and memory loss. The aggressive nature of PC leads to rapid deterioration of patients' quality of life and diminished ability to participate in treatment.
Although FOLFIRINOX regimen was recently presented to be effective as adjuvant chemotherapy for resectable pancreatic cancer in selected patients who have good physical condition, there is still insufficient evidence on this regimen in treating resectable pancreatic cancer patients in China. Since for many tumors, different races may show different responses to the same regimen, we design this open phase Ⅱ study to evaluate the the efficacy and safety of mFOLFIRINOX as adjuvant chemotherapy for resectable pancreatic cancer in China.
This is an adaptive design study. During the first phase of the study, participants will be randomized in 2:1 ratio to receive either MNTX 450 milligrams (mg) once daily (QD) or placebo. An interim analysis will be performed for futility and at that point a higher dosage regimen may be utilized for the active treatment group if the futility criteria are met. For the second stage of the study, interim analyses will be conducted for futility and sample size reassessment.
The Multi-OutcoMe EvaluatioN of radiation Therapy Using the Unity MR-Linac Study (MOMENTUM) is a multi-institutional, international registry facilitating evidenced based implementation of the Unity MR-Linac technology and further technical development of the MR-Linac system with the ultimate purpose to improve patients' survival, local, and regional tumor control and quality of life.
To verify the efficacy of S-1 adjuvant chemotherapy in resectable pancreatic cancer. - Primary Endpoint: Relapse-free survival (RFS) - Secondary Endpoints: 2-year survival rate, 2-year relapse-free survival (RFS) rate, safety profile
Study of NGM120 in subjects with advanced solid tumors and and pancreatic cancer (Part 1 and 2) and metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer (Part 3).
This two-part randomized controlled trial aims to evaluate the impact of pre-test video education as compared to pre-test Chatbot education.
Background: On the surface of every healthy cellular membrane resides a layer known as the glycocalyx. This structure consists of extracellular domains of receptor, adhesion and transmembrane molecules such as syndecan-1 covalently bound to highly negatively charged glycosaminoglycans, heparan sulfates. It has a principal role to maintain wall integrity, avoid inflammation and tissue oedema in vessels but in contrast, glycocalyx is robust and elevated on cancer cells. This study examines whether the endothelial glycocalyx layer is preserved in patients undergoing pancreatectomy with human albumin 5% vs. gelofusine in a restrictive goal directed fluid regime perioperatively for the first 24hours. Degradation of glycocalyx will be investigated by analyzing basic levels of the core protein syndecan-1 and heparan sulfates with post-operative samples.
This is a phase II pilot trial of Paclitaxel Protein Bound and Gemcitabine based chemotherapy and the addition of Paricalcitol upon attainment of stable or progressive disease in eligible patients with untreated metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.
