NCT ID: NCT01167842 Completed - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Analysis of Tumors From Patients With Inherited Cancers Having Had Two Surgeries (Primary + Recurrent, or 2 Separate Types of Cancer)

Start date: October 2009
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study will analyze tumor tissue from patients with known genetic mutations (BRCA1, BRCA2, CHK2, etc) who have tumor tissue available from two surgeries, either primary/recurrent, or two different anatomical sites.

NCT ID: NCT01166737 Completed - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

Study Comparing Tumor Debulking Surgery Versus Chemotherapy Alone in Recurrent Platinum-Sensitive Ovarian Cancer

DESKTOPIII
Start date: July 2010
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

It is still not clear whether a positive AGO-score just selects patients with less aggressive biologic tumor behavior who as well would have had a positive outcome by chemotherapy only, or , if it is a score selecting patients who really benefit from surgery. Nevertheless, the AGO-score was confirmed to select patients with a less than 30% risk of ending with residual tumor after surgery for recurrent disease. This could avoid including patients into the present surgical protocol who could not benefit from an operationThe goal of this third DESKTOP study is to evaluate in a prospectively randomized multicentre setting, whether maximum effort of cytoreductive surgery followed by platinum based combination chemotherapy can improve overall survival as compared to platinum based combination chemotherapy alone in AGO-score positive patients.

NCT ID: NCT01163552 Completed - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Heated Chemotherapy for Cancers That Have Spread to the Chest Cavity

Start date: June 2010
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Cancers that have spread to the inner lining of the chest are classified as Stage IV and bear a poor prognosis. Surgery is rarely an option, with palliative chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy the only treatment options. This study intends to evaluate whether surgical removal of all visible tumor on the chest wall followed by bathing the chest cavity in heated chemotherapy solution will improve outcomes for these advanced cancers.

NCT ID: NCT01132014 Completed - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

Autologous OC-DC Vaccine in Ovarian Cancer

Start date: May 2010
Phase: Early Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This is a Five cohort sequential clinical trial for subjects with recurrent ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer to determine the feasibility and safety as well as immunogenicity of OC-DC, an autologous vaccine comprised of autologous dendritic cells (DC) loaded in vitro with lysate from autologous oxidized tumor cells, administered intranodally alone, or in combination with intravenous Bevacizumab and cyclophosphamide or in combination with intravenous Bevacizumab, cyclophosphamide and aspirin. Study duration is 24 months.

NCT ID: NCT01113957 Completed - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

A Trial of ABT-888 in Combination With Temozolomide Versus Pegylated Liposomal Doxorubicin Alone in Ovarian Cancer

Start date: March 2010
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine the objective response rate of ABT-888 when given in combination with temozolomide versus pegylated liposomal doxorubicin (PLD) alone in subjects with recurrent high grade serous ovarian cancer.

NCT ID: NCT01111903 Completed - Clinical trials for Ovarian Cancer Recurrent

A 2 Stage Trial of Lenalidomide (REV) in Asymptomatic Ovarian Cancer Patients With Increasing CA 125 in Late Relapse

REV
Start date: May 2009
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Study in two stages, and with a sub-study.

NCT ID: NCT01105650 Completed - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Allogeneic Natural Killer (NK) Cells for Ovarian, Fallopian Tube, Peritoneal and Metastatic Breast Cancer

Start date: July 2010
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a single center phase II trial designed to optimize a clinical platform of lymphodepleting chemotherapy and T-cell suppression to promote the persistence, function, and expansion of allogeneic natural killer (NK) cells in patients with recurrent ovarian, fallopian tube, primary peritoneal cancer and advanced metastatic breast cancer.

NCT ID: NCT01104675 Completed - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

Study of Oral ENMD-2076 Administered to Patients With Ovarian Cancer

Start date: April 2010
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine whether oral ENMD-2076 is effective in treatment of patients with platinum resistant ovarian, fallopian, or peritoneal cancer. Additional sites to be added.

NCT ID: NCT01096394 Completed - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

Collection of Tissue Samples From Patients With Stage III or Stage IV Ovarian Epithelial Cancer

Start date: November 2009
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Observational

RATIONALE: Collecting and storing samples of tumor tissue and ascites fluid from patients to test in the laboratory may help the study of cancer. PURPOSE: This pre-clinical research study is collecting tissue samples and ascites fluid from patients with stage III or stage IV ovarian/primary peritoneal/fallopian tube epithelial cancer.
