Filter by:The reason for this study is to evaluate if the once-weekly study drug insulin efsitora alfa (LY3209590) is safe and effective compared with daily insulin glargine in participants with Type 2 diabetes (T2D) that have already been treated with basal insulin and at least 2 injections per day of prandial insulin. The study consists of a 3-week screening/lead-in period, a 26-week treatment period and a 5-week safety follow-up period. The study will last up to 34 weeks.
Objective: Panic disorder is one of the most prevalent anxiety disorders and with the greatest impact on the functionality of patients. Knowing variables that influence the therapies outcome can improve the results of the interventions and reduce the socio-health cost. The current study examined possible predictors and moderators of outcome in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). Method: Eighty patients with diagnostic of panic disorder received 12 group sessions of CBT or ACT and were assessed with several measures at baseline, 12 weeks post-treatment and 24 weeks post-treatment.

This is a study protocol to determine whether it is feasible to support parents of children with blood cancers by providing information over an online learning platform. This study will be conducted in Malaysia. An online learning platform will be used to provide information relevant to parents who care for children diagnosed with leukemia or lymphoma. The use of this platform will be compared with current usual care, where only verbal discussions and ad hoc caregiver training is provided to support these parents, based on the clinician's judgement. Participants knowledge and confidence level in caregiving as well as coping will be compared between the two groups. To determine the feasibility of this method of information support, the researchers will also obtain feedback from participants who used the online learning platform and determine whether there are many who drop out from using it. The findings will determine whether use of online learning platform is suitable to deliver information support for parents, in view of currently limited resources for supportive care in childhood cancer care in Malaysia.
This clinical trial studies the effect of free-base compared with nicotine salt based e-liquids on electronic cigarette (EC) puffing behavior, abuse liability, and deposition and absorption of nicotine in the respiratory tract and rate of uptake in the brain in current EC smokers. The results from this study may provide much needed scientific information to public health officials and regulators.
Pulmonary postoperative complications (PPC) are among the main causes of surgical complications affecting both postoperative morbidity and mortality. Little is known about the effect of intraoperative VQ mismatch on the occurrence of PPC. In this trial the investigators will evaluate if intraoperative VQ mismatch may predict PPC in a population of patients undergoing major surgery.
