NCT ID: NCT03356665 Completed - Clinical trials for Trypanosoma Brucei Gambiense; Infection

Diagnostic Tools for Human African Trypanosomiasis Elimination and Clinical Trials: WP2 Passive Case Detection

DiTECT-WP2
Start date: August 1, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The study determines the diagnostic performance and cost of rapid diagnostic tests (RDTs) performed on human African trypanosomiasis clinical suspects in peripheral health centres, whether or not followed by serological and/or molecular tests on dried blood spots done at regional reference centres

NCT ID: NCT03356509 Completed - Clinical trials for Acute Exercise and Addictive Behavior

Effect of Exercise on Chocolate Addiction

Start date: January 8, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The study will use stress inducing tasks to determine if there are significant improvements in mood, chocolate cravings, and attentional bias to chocolate in overweight/obese chocolate abusers following rest and a bout of high intensity interval exercise.

NCT ID: NCT03356418 Completed - Clinical trials for Neuromuscular Performance and Balance

Immediate Effects of Whole-Body Vibration on Neuromuscular Performance and Postural Control in Elderly

Start date: March 10, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to analyze the immediate effects of an exercise protocol on the vibration platform on the functional and neuromuscular performance of lower limbs, postural control and life quality in healthy elderly.

NCT ID: NCT03356301 Completed - Athletes Clinical Trials

Study of the Aorta Adaptations to Exercise in Triathletes During Sports Season (CoATri)

CoATri
Start date: December 1, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Regular sustained physical activity creates a cardiac remodelling : it is athlete's heart. In our preliminary work published in 2016, the investigators demonstrated in a small population of triathletes that there is also a vascular remodelling named athlete's artery. Moreover, the investigators know that left ventricle and aorta behave together like a couple. So they want to study by Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging the impact of triathlon on the cardiac AND aortic remodelling.

NCT ID: NCT03356002 Completed - Clinical trials for High Risk (Above Average) Subjects

Evaluation of C-Scan System in Providing Structural Information and Detection of Polypoid Lesions in High Risk Subjects

Start date: January 28, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to establish the efficacy of Check-Cap's C-Scan System in providing structural information on colonic polypoid lesions and masses, as an adjacent tool to Feacal Immunochemical Test [FIT] in high risk subjects

NCT ID: NCT03355807 Completed - Clinical trials for Therapeutic Opioid Induced Constipation (Disorder)

Use of MgSO4 for Pain After Bariatric Surgery

Start date: January 1, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of magnesium sulfate on pain management for pain after sleeve gastrectomy operation

NCT ID: NCT03355625 Completed - Clinical trials for Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation

Platelet Function During Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation in Adult Patients

Start date: September 1, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The primary aim is to describe platelet function in adult patients treated with extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). A clarification of the platelet function in these critically ill patients contributes to an understanding of the mechanisms underlying their coagulopathy. The present study is a substudy to the study entitled; "Coagulopathy During Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation" (pending Clinical Trial ID number).

NCT ID: NCT03355417 Completed - Clinical trials for Motor Coordination or Function; Developmental Disorder

A Multiple Baseline Design Study to Investigate the Effectiveness of OT-SI Using an Intensive Intervention Model

Start date: March 12, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The investigators hypothesize that children completing 30 sessions of occupational therapy using a sensory integration approach (OT-SI) will demonstrate positive changes in outcome measures related to motor coordination, functional performance and sensory processing (changes pre-post test).

NCT ID: NCT03355235 Completed - Clinical trials for Stem Cell Transplant Complications

Brilliant Study: Assessing Cognition in Myeloma Patients Undergoing Transplant

Start date: October 20, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The overall objectives in this study are to identify patterns of cognitive impairment pre- and post-transplant, to assess the similarities of scores of the three cognitive assessments in myeloma patients who undergo autologous stem cell transplant, and to determine if patients prefer the self-assessment, Self-Administered Gerocognitive Exam (SAGE) or the healthcare applied Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) assessment.

NCT ID: NCT03355196 Completed - Clinical trials for Patients With Moderate Knee Osteoarthritis (30 - 65 Years)

First-in-human, Safety, Tolerability and Pharmacokinetics Study of LRX712 in Osteoarthritic Patients

Start date: November 20, 2017
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This study is designed to evaluate, for the first time in humans, safety and tolerability of single ascending doses of intra-articular (i.a.) injections of LRX712 into the knee of patients with moderate osteoarthritis (OA), in order to support the further clinical development. This study will also allow establishment of the systemic and local pharmacokinetics (PK) of LRX712 and the exploration of biomarkers of cartilage breakdown and regeneration in OA patients.
