Filter by:This is a prospective, single-center clinical study designed to facilitate the collection and evaluation of workflow efficiency, patient pain and function, and adverse event data. This clinical study will include Persona Total Knee components using the ROSA Total Knee Robotic System or conventional instrumentation.
This is a randomized, open label, comparative, Phase II study to determine whether fecal microbiota transplant using Penn Microbiome Therapy products helps standard therapy to treat severe Clostridium difficile infection (C diff).
Different types of stem cells have recently been studied in clinical trial on ischemic disease of the heart and muscular arteries. Adipose derived stem cell, have shown in vitro and in vivo models a stronger potential of success in recovering from ischemic disease and oxygenation of the tissues. The investigators already shown in a phase I study, that adipose derived mesenchymal cells injected in patients with critical limb ischemia and no option for revascularization, had a very good tolerance and interesting effects on skin oxygenation and healing. The aim of the present clinical trial is to confirm the efficacy autologous transplantation of adipose tissue derived mesenchymal cells in patients with critical limb ischemia with poor options or no option for revascularization.
This phase I trial studies how well AXL inhibitor BGB324 works in treating participants with glioblastoma that has come back who are undergoing surgery. AXL inhibitor BGB324 may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.
TrRaMM-TMI is a phase I trial to evaluate the feasibility and efficacy of an original sequential TMI/TrRaMM (Total Marrow Irradiation/Treosulfan-Rapamycin-Mycophenolate Mofetil) schedule in patients with hematological malignancies in advanced stage of disease undergoing an allogenic Stem Cell Transplant (SCT). The aim is to determine the maximum tolerated dose of TMI when combined with conditioning chemotherapy to transplant according to TrRaMM schedule.
Giant cell arteritis is the leading cause of vasculitis in the elderly. No work evaluates its impact on autonomy. At the diagnosis a gerontological evaluation will be carried out including the scores ADL, iADL, MNA, SF 36, SPPB, FRIED and GDS. A monthly telephone reassessment will collect ADL and iADL. The end-of-study consultation at M12, conducted by a geriatrician, will have the same scores as at M0. This will make it possible to evaluate the difference in the functional autonomy score between M0 and M12 in the elderly with ACG.
A Randomized, Double-Blind, Multicenter, Placebo-Controlled, Phase 2 Study to Evaluate the Safety, Tolerability, and Pharmacokinetics of Itraconazole Administered as a Dry Powder for Inhalation (PUR1900) in Adult Asthmatic Patients With Allergic Bronchopulmonary Aspergillosis
Background: Despite management improvement in lasts years, S.aureus bacteremia leads to high morbidity and mortality. For over 50 years, methicillin-susceptible S.aureus (MSSA) bacteremia standard treatment was cloxacillin. Previous studies using different therapies and combination treatment fall to improve survival in these patients. Aim: to demonstrate the efficacy of the cloxacillin and fosfomycin combination administered during the first week of treatment, compared with cloxacillin monotherapy in patients with MSSA bacteremia in treatment success. Methods: A multicentre, superiority, open-label, randomized, phase IV-III, two-armed parallel (1:1) groups clinical trial. Adult patients with MSSA bacteremia will be randomized to Combination therapy group: patients will receive intravenous cloxacillin 2g/4h and fosfomycin 3 g/6h for the duration of 7 days treatment, or Standard therapy group: patients will receive intravenous cloxacillin 2g/4h for the duration of 7 days IV treatment. After the first week, antibiotic treatment and duration will be decided by responsible clinician following clinical practice. The primary endpoint is the treatment success measured at day 7 of treatment; a composite endpoint defined by all of the following criteria met after randomization: patient alive at day 7 AND stable or improved quick SOFA score (compared with baseline) at day 7 AND fever resolved at day 7 AND negative blood cultures for S. aureus at day 7. In case of achieving statistical differences in the primary endpoint, investigators will perform a hierarchical analysis of the treatment success at Test of Cure visit (TOC, 12 weeks after randomization), defined by the presence of all of the following: patient alive at TOC AND no evidence of microbiological treatment failure defined as isolation of S. aureus from blood culture or other sterile site from day 8 after randomization until TOC. Investigators have assumed a 74% of treatment success in monotherapy group. Accepting an alpha risk of 0.05 and a beta risk of 0.2 in a two-sided test, 183 subjects are necessary in first group and 183 in the second to find a statistically significant difference of 12%. It has been anticipated a drop-out rate of 5%. Discussion: Randomized studies assessing efficacy of different treatment in MSSA bacteremia are lacking. This study could help to improve knowledge about MSSA bacteremia and whether combined treatment with cloxacillin and fosfomycin could improve outcomes compared with standard treatment.
The objective of this randomized safety and observational study is to demonstrate CorPath GRX chronic total occlusion PCI is safe, and that Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory staff have no additional exposure to radiation when compared to conventional manual chronic total occlusion PCI procedures without added procedure time.
This trial will study SGN-CD47M to find out whether it is an effective treatment for different types of solid tumors and what side effects (unwanted effects) may occur. The study will have two parts. Part A of the study will find out how much SGN-CD47M should be given for treatment and how often. Part B of the study will use the dose found in Part A and look at how safe and effective the treatment is.
