NCT ID: NCT00869804 Terminated - Breast Neoplasms Clinical Trials

Heading Off Peripheral Neuropathy With Exercise

HOPE
Start date: March 25, 2009
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Chemotherapy for the treatment of breast cancer can affect nerves and muscles leading to loss of sensation in the hands and feet for feeling hot and cold, difficulty walking, and muscle weakness. This study will explore if exercises such as walking and strength training may prove helpful in preventing or lessening chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy from chemotherapy, making the therapy easier to tolerate and increasing overall quality of life.

NCT ID: NCT00867815 Terminated - Clinical trials for Anterior Ischemic Optic Neuropathy

PDE5 Inhibitor Use and Non-arteritic Anterior Ischemic Optic Neuropathy (NAION)

Start date: July 13, 2009
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of this study is to determine whether the use of PDE5 inhibitors (vardenafil, sildenafil, or tadalafil) increases the risk for the development of NAION.

NCT ID: NCT00867243 Terminated - Clinical trials for Hepatitis C, Chronic

Prediction of Hepatitis C Recurrence in Liver Transplant Recipients

Start date: October 2005
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The purpose of the study is to look at cells of the immune system to see if the cells are different among people with different risk factors that have received a liver transplant. We will enroll 50 patients receiving liver transplant and their donors. Both donor and recipient must participate in the order for the recipient to participate in the study. We will take blood samples from these patients and their donors.

NCT ID: NCT00863434 Terminated - Clinical trials for Recurrent Adult Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Clofarabine and Cytarabine in Treating Patients With Acute Myeloid Leukemia With Minimal Residual Disease

Start date: February 2009
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as clofarabine and cytarabine, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving clofarabine together with cytarabine may kill more cancer cells. PURPOSE: This pilot phase II trial is studying how well giving clofarabine together with cytarabine works in treating patients with acute myeloid leukemia with minimal residual disease

NCT ID: NCT00861965 Terminated - Clinical trials for Advanced or Refractory Leukemia, Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma

Bioengineered Allogeneic Immune Cells (AlloStim) Not Requiring HLA Donor Match for Blood Cancers

Start date: January 2010
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This phase I/II clinical investigation is designed to determine the safety and anti-tumor effects of intravenous administration of the experimental immunotherapy drug, called AlloStim. The active ingredient of AlloStim is living, human immune cells that have been differentiated and expanded outside the body. Because AlloStim does not require HLA match, it is being evaluated as an alternative to allogeneic bone marrow/stem cell transplantation.

NCT ID: NCT00860535 Terminated - Clinical trials for Philadelphia Chromosome Positive (Ph+) Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL)

Growth Factor Signature (GFS) Pilot Study (MK0000-098)(COMPLETED)

Start date: June 2009
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This study will evaluate a gene expression signature (Growth Factor Signature [GFS]) as a biomarker for response/resistance to BRC-ABL oncogene inhibitors.

NCT ID: NCT00860171 Terminated - Clinical trials for Refractory B-Cell Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma

Iodine I 131 Monoclonal Antibody BC8 Before Autologous Stem Cell Transplant in Treating Patients With Relapsed or Refractory Hodgkin Lymphoma or Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma

Start date: February 2009
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of iodine I 131 monoclonal antibody BC8 when given before autologous stem cell transplant in treating patients with Hodgkin lymphoma or non-Hodgkin lymphoma that has returned after a period of improvement or does not respond to treatment. Radiolabeled monoclonal antibodies, such as iodine I 131 monoclonal antibody BC8, can find cancer cells and carry cancer-killing substances to them without harming normal cells. Giving iodine I 131 monoclonal antibody BC8 before an autologous stem cell transplant may kill more cancer cells.

NCT ID: NCT00859339 Terminated - Clinical trials for Transitional Cell Carcinoma of the Bladder

Neoadjuvant Cisplatin, Gemcitabine, Sunitinib Malate + Radical Cystectomy for TCC

Start date: March 2009
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This trial will investigate the activity of sunitinib combined with cisplatin and gemcitabine followed by radical cystectomy in patients with Transitional Cell Carcinoma (TCC) of the Bladder.

NCT ID: NCT00857259 Terminated - Clinical trials for Age-related Macular Degeneration

The Efficacy of Oral Everolimus in Patients With Neovascular Age-related Macular Degeneration

Start date: February 2009
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The study will assess the safety and efficacy of Everolimus (RAD001) alone or in combination with Lucentis in patients with neo-vascular age related macular degeneration (AMD)

NCT ID: NCT00856817 Terminated - Clinical trials for Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Heme Oxygenase (HO) Activity and Adenosine Induced Vasodilation

Start date: March 2009
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine whether heme oxygenase 1 induction by heme arginate treatment is of influence on adenosine induced vasodilation in healthy individuals.
