NCT ID: NCT06137716 Completed - Clinical trials for Post-acute Covid-19 Syndrome

Robotic Assisted Hand Rehabilitation Outcomes in Adults After COVID-19

Start date: July 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Prolonged hospitalization in severe COVID-19 cases can lead to substantial muscle loss and functional deterioration. While rehabilitation is vital, conventional approaches encounter capacity constraints. Therefore, assessing the efficacy of robotic-assisted rehabilitation is crucial for post-COVID-19 fatigue syndrome patients, aiming to improve motor function and overall recovery. The study focuses on evaluating rehabilitation effectiveness in individuals with upper-extremity impairment using a hand exoskeleton-based robotic system.

NCT ID: NCT06134726 Completed - Clinical trials for Rheumatoid Arthritis

Temporomandibular Joint in Patients With Rheumatoid Arthritis

Start date: January 15, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

the investigators study aimed to evaluate temporomandibular joint involvement in rheumatoid arthritis patients and healthy individuals 142 participants were recruited in two groups: 72 patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), and 70 healthy controls. All participants were tested for seropositivity of rheumatoid factor and anticitrullinated protein antibodies. TMD diagnosis was determined according to the standardized and validated diagnostic criteria for TMD (DC/TMD): myalgia, arthralgia, articular disc, displacement, degenerative joint disease, and headache attributed to TMD. Bruxism, a probable sleep and/or awake bruxism diagnosis was determined based on self-report and several clinical findings.

NCT ID: NCT06132802 Completed - Clinical trials for Temporomandibular Joint Disorders

Evaluation of Anterior Repositioning Guided Splint Combined With or Without I Platelet-rich Fibrin

Start date: October 2, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The study aims to evaluate clinically and radiographically the effectiveness of arthrocentesis and injection of I-PRF with wearing ARS in comparison to arthrocentesis and ARS only.

NCT ID: NCT06132594 Completed - Clinical trials for Temporomandibular Joint Disorders

Computed Guided Prolotherapy Versus Conventional Prolotherapy

Start date: October 2, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of that study is to compare between conventional prolotherapy and computed guided prolotherapy in treatment of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) internal derangement.

NCT ID: NCT06129578 Completed - Obesity Clinical Trials

Plant Protein Supplementation Within a Healthy Lifestyle Modulates Plasma Circulating Amino Acids and Improves the Health Status of Overweight Individuals

Start date: January 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

A dietary pattern based on Mediterranean diet has been reported as healthy for humans, as well as doing aerobic exercise regularly, diminishing the development of potential inflammation in subjects. Protein intake has been proposed as nutritional strategy to further improve these positives outcomes in terms of preventing inflammation diseases. In this work, overweight patients followed a Mediterranean diet together with aerobic exercise according to WHO-guidelines and were supplemented with 20 g of hemp protein/day, for twelve weeks. Anthropometric and biochemical measures (including analysis of oligoelements), as well as plasma circulating amino acids were evaluated in each patient at the end of the intervention, to assess whether biologically relevant changes could be observed.

NCT ID: NCT06127862 Completed - Clinical trials for Environmental-Pollution-Related Condition

Microplastica Pollution Awareness Level of Students

Start date: December 15, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study aims to raise awareness among individuals about plastic and microplastica pollution, reduce plastic consumption, reduce the amount of plastic waste that grows cumulatively every year, and contribute to the development of a livable environment.

NCT ID: NCT06127186 Completed - Clinical trials for Upper Respiratory Tract Infections

Phenotype of Headache and Facial Pain in Upper Respiratory Tract Infections

Start date: November 1, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The goal of this longitudinal study is to assess headache and facial pain features in patients with upper respiratory tract infections (URTI). The main question it aims to answer are: 1. What is the phenotype of headache / facial pain in URTIs 2. Does the above mentioned phenotype is associated with: 1. aetiologic factor (virus), 2. type of URTI 3. headache/facial pain experienced by patients in the past. Participants will: - answer standardized questions, - undergo physical examination, - have a swab test performend for antigens of common viruses causing URTI.

NCT ID: NCT06125613 Completed - Pain, Acute Clinical Trials

Influence of Kinesiophobia on the Excitability of Connections Parieto-frontal During a Pointing Movement in Humans

pIPS/M1
Start date: December 10, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Objective(s) of the trial: Better understand the interaction between kinesiophobia and motor control. Main objective: To measure the influence of induced kinesiophobia on functional connectivity between the posterior parieto-occipital region and the primary motor cortex in healthy subjects during a pointing task. Secondary objectives: The secondary objectives will be 1) to verify the excitatory influence of pIPS stimulation on the excitability of M1 at rest and 2) to establish whether there is a correlation between functional connectivity and the level of kinesiophobia ( as measured by the Tampa Scale)

NCT ID: NCT06124677 Completed - Clinical trials for Neovascular Age-related Macular Degeneration

Single Injection of Faricimab for nAMD With Persisting Fluid Despite Frequent Aflibercept Treatments

Start date: November 1, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The goal of this retrospective single-center chat review is to establish the efficacy and safety of a single dose of intravitreal faricimab (Vabysmo®) injection in patients with neovascular age-related macular degeneration (AMD), who were previously treated with aflibercept (Eylea®) and had persisting intraretinal or subretinal fluid despite frequent treatments.
