Filter by:The overall aim is to evaluate the impact of the use of two different guidelines for monitoring labor progress, the WHOs LCG versus standard care, on neonatal and maternal outcomes. The hypothesis is that the use of LCG will reduce adverse neonatal outcomes and decrease the number of intrapartum Cesarean sections compared with standard care. Secondly, other perinatal interventions and complications will be compared between the LCG and standard care groups, as well as economic considerations. This will be investigated using a multicenter, stepped-wedge cluster randomized trial design. In addition, the project will explore a series of quantitative and qualitative research questions to gain in-depth knowledge about experiences and perceptions about childbirth and the use of LCG. These research questions will be investigated using questionnaires, focus group and individual interviews with providers, partners and women that have gone through childbirth.
To evaluate the role of Neutrophils to lymphocytes and platelets ratio (N/LP ratio) as a biomarkers for mortality in septic -AKI
It is now established that disturbances in social cognition are frequent in neurology and that they contribute to the development of social conduct disorders. Their assessment is therefore essential, particularly in order to propose early and adapted care. However, this assessment remains limited today. A new serious game-type test, REALSoCog, has been developed to address the shortcomings of current tools and to highlight disturbances in social behaviors. The latter are not always observed in consultation although they are often reported by caregivers. The objective of this research is therefore to validate the REALSoCog task in a pathological population (currently being standardized in the general population: CER-U, IRB N°: 00012020-115). The clinical interest of this task will be tested with a group of patients suffering from a neurodegenerative disease (Alzheimer's disease (AD), dementia with Lewy bodies (DCL), fronto-temporal lobar degeneration (FTD)) in order to assess its sensitivity and specificity in the detection of social-cognitive disturbances, and in particular in terms of social behaviors (detection of social behavioral disorders reported in daily life). The objective is also to document the socio-cognitive profiles in the mentioned diseases thanks to a more ecological test, and to better understand the links between socio-cognitive processes on the one hand, and individual characteristics on the other hand (e.g. mood and social participation).
This phase II MyeloMATCH treatment trial compares cytarabine versus (vs.) cytarabine and venetoclax vs. liposome-encapsulated daunorubicin-cytarabine and venetoclax vs. azacitidine and venetoclax for treating patients who have residual disease after treatment for acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Cytarabine is in a class of medications called antimetabolites. It works by slowing or stopping the growth of cancer cells in the body. Venetoclax is in a class of medications called B-cell lymphoma-2 (BCL-2) inhibitors. It may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking Bcl-2, a protein needed for cancer cell survival. Liposome-encapsulated daunorubicin-cytarabine is a drug formulation that delivers daunorubicin and cytarabine in small spheres called liposomes, which may make the drugs safer or more effective. Azacitidine is a drug that interacts with DNA and leads to the activation of tumor suppressor genes, which are genes that help control cell growth. This study may help the study doctors find out if the different drug combinations are equally effective to the usual approach of cytarabine alone while requiring a shorter duration of treatment. To decide if they are better, the study doctors will be looking to see if the study drugs lead to a higher percentage of patients achieving a deeper remission compared to cytarabine alone.

Heart failure with a preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) is a major cause of morbidity and mortality. Hypertension remains one of the major modifiable risk factors in HFpEF development and progression. The role of aerobic exercise training for blood pressure (BP) reduction is well established, with positive cardiac, vascular, and neurohumoral adaptations all cited as potential mechanisms for improving arterial haemodynamics. However, recent evidence has shown that a specific type of resistance exercise alone, known as isometric exercise (IE), produces greater mean BP reductions than what has traditionally been seen with both aerobic and dynamic resistance exercise training programmes. Indeed, short duration IE training causes significant improvements in both cardiac structure and function, in addition to inducing significant reductions in resting BP in normotensive, pre-hypertensive and hypertensive individuals. This study aims to compare the acute and chronic effects of an IE training intervention on diastolic function parameters in patients who have been diagnosed with HFpEF compared to a control group.
This is a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase Ⅱ study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Mitoxantrone Hydrochloride Liposome Injection with different doses in participants with neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD). Participants will be randomly enrolled into three groups: Mitoxantrone Hydrochloride Liposome Injection 8 mg/m^2 group, Mitoxantrone Hydrochloride Liposome Injection 12 mg/m^2 group, and Placebo group. The primary outcome measure is time to first protocol-defined relapse.
Aim To test if proton therapy can improve survival compared to photon therapy in patients with locally advanced NSCLC who are not candidates for standard definitive chemo-radiotherapy. Hypothesis The trial hypothesis is that proton therapy is less toxic than photon therapy in fragile patients and that this difference will mitigate to a difference in overall survival. Design Multicentre, randomized phase II study 1:1 Sample size 182 patients (91 in each arm) Treatment Radiotherapy (inhomogeneous dose distribution) 50 Gy/ 24 fraction Endpoint Primary: Overall survival at 12 months Secondary: progression free survival, time to loco-regional and distant failure, pattern of failure, acute and late toxicity, quality of life, patient compliance.
This is a single-center, single-arm, open-label phase I clinical study to determine the safety and efficacy of LILRB4 STAR-T cells in Relapsed/Refractory Acute Myeloid Leukemia subjects.
This project will conduct a large-sample, multi-center prospective clinical trial to further establish the safety and efficacy of BL-5ALA-PDT in preventing Non-Muscle Invasive Bladder Cancer (NMIBC) recurrence when compared to the usual postoperative perfusion chemotherapy regimen.
