Filter by:A Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled, Phase 2 Study to Determine the Efficacy, Safety, and Dosing of TG-C in Adult Subjects with Symptomatic Early Hip Osteoarthritis. TG-C will be administered to the target hip by a single ultrasound (or fluoroscopy)-guided, intra-articular injection with image capture showing correct injection of study drug into the femoroacetabular joint. Patients will be followed for 12 months for safety and efficacy.
Arthritis is a common condition in the United States, and a leading cause of pain and disability. Physical exercise is recommended for managing arthritis, but access to evidence-based exercise programs is limited, particularly in rural areas. Therefore, the investigators propose to evaluate remote delivery of an evidence-based exercise program called Enhance Fitness (EF) that is recommended for arthritis management. The primary purpose of this study is to determine if remotely delivered EF is non-inferior to in-person EF on primary and secondary outcomes.
Prospective observational, national, multicentre, open study with a class III medical device with EC marking. Study to evaluate the clinical benefit of local treatment with KD intra-articular® gel in patients with osteoarthritis of the shoulder, hip, ankle or base of the thumb. The study will be conducted in the Rheumatology Service of Spanish Hospitals under the usual medical conditions, in accordance with routine clinical practice and following the internationally recognised precepts of good clinical practice of ICH and Declaration of Helsinki. The objective is to evaluate the evolution of pain in patients diagnosed with single or preferential symptomatic osteoarthritis of the shoulder or hip treated with KD Intra-Articular® gel 2.2% - 44 mg in 2 ml - (Pronolis® HD one 2.2%), and ankle or base of the thumb treated with KD Intra-Articular® gel 1.6% - 16 mg in 1 ml - (Pronolis® HD mini 1.6%). Eighty patients will be included among about 6 Spanish Sites. The study comprises a maximum of 6 visits per protocol. At visit 0, informed consent will be obtained, the patient will be checked for fulfil the selection criteria. A pain assessment will also be carried out using a Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and the corresponding questionnaire will be completed depending on the affected joint. According to the usual clinical practice of the site, the study treatment will be administered. A week after the first infiltration the second visit (V1) will be applied, and the VAS will be repeated. The patient's global clinical impression of change will also be assessed, and along with the Likert scale of satisfaction will be collected. The next visit (V2) will be carried out a week after the second infiltration and the procedures will be the same as those of the previous visit (V1). At 4 (V3), 12 (V4) and 24 (V5) weeks after receiving the third infiltration (V2), follow-up visits will be carried out where the assessment procedures will be the same as in visit 0, in addition to the GCI -C, the Likert scale of satisfaction and the collection of potential AEs and changes in concomitant medication. At each visit, the patient will be given a diary, where they will collect the rescue medication they have needed since the previous visit. In the electronic case report form (eCRF), the rescue medication (analgesics and NSAIDs) that you have needed since the previous visit (V0-V2) or in the month prior to the study visit (V3-V6) will be collected.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the neuromuscular responses, pain intensity and rate of perceived exertion in patients with severe knee osteoarthritis in a preoperative setting with low-load resistance training with blood flow restriction at different levels of arterial occlusion pressure.

Age-related hip and knee osteoarthritis is the leading cause of pain and locomotor problems worldwide. There is no definitive solution in the treatment of hip and knee osteoarthritis. In the guidelines of the American Rheumatology Association, pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment methods are recommended for the treatment of hip and knee osteoarthritis. The effectiveness of different exercise programs for the periarticular muscles in hip and knee osteoarthritis has been proven, but there is no consensus on the superiority of exercise protocols over each other. With the increase in home isolation of individuals due to the COVID-19 pandemic, telerehabilitation applications have gained popularity.In the literature, there is a need for studies investigating the effectiveness of core stabilization exercises in patients with hip and knee osteoarthritis. Therefore, our study will help develop alternative exercises for individuals with hip and knee osteoarthritis. In the literature, there is no study investigating the effectiveness of core stabilization exercises applied with the telerehabilitation method in patients with knee osteoarthritis and comparing them with conventional exercise. According to the data to be obtained as a result of the study, the use of core stabilization exercises in the treatment of hip and knee osteoarthritis will contribute to the literature as an alternative exercise method. The application of these exercises with the telerehabilitation method in the treatment of hip and knee osteoarthritis will highlight new studies in the literature as a unique methodology. Thus, it will contribute to the development of cost-effective rehabilitation methods in the treatment of hip and knee osteoarthritis. The hypotheses of this study are as follows: H0:There is no difference between the effects of combined exercise with telerehabilitation (conventional exercise + core stabilization exercise) and the effects of conventional exercise in the treatment of hip and/or knee osteoarthritis. H1:Combined exercise with telerehabilitation application (conventional exercise + core stabilization exercise) is more effective than conventional exercise in the treatment of hip and/or knee osteoarthritis. Main Purpose: To compare the effects of conventional exercise and core stabilization exercises by telerehabilitation on pain, postural control, functional level, and fear of falling in patients with hip and/or knee osteoarthritis. Secondary Purposes: - To evaluate the effects of core stabilization exercises on pain, postural control, functional level, fear of falling in female patients with hip and/or knee osteoarthritis. - To evaluate the effectiveness of telerehabilitation exercise in female patients with hip and/or knee osteoarthritis. - To determine the possible limitations that may be encountered in the application of exercise by telerehabilitation in female patients with hip and/or knee osteoarthritis and to provide appropriate conditions for the patients.
The aim of my study is to determine the effects of hip abductors strengthening and quadriceps strengthening in comparison with quadriceps strengthening alone in patients with knee osteoarthritis.

This prospective longitudinal cohort study aims (1) to identify clinical phenotypes in persons with hip osteoarthritis and after total hip arthroplasty, and (2) to identify prognostic factors for outcomes after total hip arthroplasty.
This study protocol is mainly focus on the patients, who suffer pain, swelling, or range of motion limitation after total knee replacement (TKR) surgery procedure,would be relieved by use non-invasive laser acupuncture to stimuli on 1) the reflection areas of ear acupuncture point associated knee and pain mechanism; 2) muscle trigger points around knee joint with adequate frequency and energy power to stimuli.
