View clinical trials related to Osteoarthritis, Knee.
Filter by:The study is being conducted to investigate the safety and activity of TissueGene-C injected into the knee joint of patients with chronic degenerative joint disease (DJD) who will be undergoing total knee replacement.
The purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy of celecoxib versus placebo in delaying the onset of pain and improving walking function in subjects with knee Osteoarthritis
Patients with knee pain due to Osteoarthritis (OA) experiencing sub-optimal pain relief from their current analgesic regimen will participate in a pilot clinical trial to evaluate the effectiveness and tolerability of the Lidoderm Patch compared with placebo in treating knee pain from OA.
Knee osteoarthritis (OA) accounts for a significant proportion of mobility limitations and is one of the most disabling problems facing the growing population of older adults. The long-term objective of this research is to reduce disablement of older adults with symptomatic knee OA. The principle of specificity of training indicates that exercises that closely approximate the goal functional activity are most effective in improving physical performance during that activity. Based on this principle, the specific aim of this pilot study is to design a patient-specific gait training intervention using analysis of compensatory joint moments and energy expenditure. Successful completion will inform rehabilitation for maintaining or improving mobility as well as explore the mechanism of effect.
To compare acetaminophen (Tylenol) with rofecoxib (Viox) for the treatment of Osteoarthritis of the Knee
The objective of this 2-year study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability and disease modifying efficacy of SD 6010, an inhibitor of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), in overweight and obese subjects with knee osteoarthritis. The efficacy of SD-6010 will be evaluated by radiography using joint space narrowing in the medial tibiofemoral compartment of the study knee as the primary endpoint.
The purpose of the study is to see if generic ibuprofen has an effect on osteoarthritis knee pain during a series of timed walks on a treadmill.
The purpose of this study is to discover whether arthroscopic surgery is helpful in controlling the symptoms of osteoarthritis of the knee.
Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is associated with moderate to severe postoperative pain, causing patient discomfort, mobilisation and hospital discharge. The aim of this study is to: 1. Compare analgetic efficacy of to types of local infiltration analgesia in total knee arthroplasty. 2. Compare analgetic efficacy of local infiltration analgesia with continuous epidural analgesia.
The purpose of this study is to prove the non-inferiority of the intra-articular injection of hyaluronic acid (Sinovial®) in the symptomatic treatment of knee OA in comparison to Synvisc®.
