Filter by:This screening study will identify HLA molecular subtype positive and tumor antigen target(s) positive patients who may be eligible for enrollment into Immatics clinical studies. This screening study is intended for patients with advanced and/or metastatic solid cancers. No treatment intervention will occur as part of this screening study.
The purpose of this study was to establish the recommended phase 2 dose (RP2D) of ASP1650 (Safety Lead-in Phase), as well as, evaluate the efficacy of ASP1650 as measured by confirmed objective response rate (ORR) (phase 2) in participants with incurable platinum refractory germ cell tumors. This study also evaluated the following efficacy measures for confirmed objective response rate (ORR); clinical benefit rate (CBR); duration of response (DOR); and progression-free survival (PFS); as well as safety and tolerability; the effect of ASP1650 on changes in serum beta human chorionic gonadotropin (βhCG) and alpha-fetoprotein (AFP); and the pharmacokinetics of ASP1650.
Phase 1a/1b Trial to evaluate the tolerability and safety of IBI101 monotherapy or in combination with Sintilimab in advanced solid tumor patients.
This phase I trial studies the best dose and side effects of TAK-659 and paclitaxel in treating patients with advanced solid tumors. TAK-659 may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving TAK-659 and paclitaxel may work better in treating patients with advanced solid tumors.
When a child is diagnosed with cancer the family's world is turned upside down. Parents have high levels of stress because they must learn important information about their child's diagnosis, medications and treatments. They must also learn how to care for their child once they have left the safety of the hospital. Parents have voiced that during this time they receive too much information, have paper overload, and hear and read different information causing them to feel confused. Parents have shared that small amounts of information that can be repeated when they want and as often as they want helps them to feel more confident to care for their child. This study will ask parents if they like and can easily learn information about how to care for their child with cancer from short videos that highlight key points, have visual cues, and provide case examples. If parents find short videos useful and helpful for learning, with the goal that they will feel more confident to care for their child and have lower levels of anxiety.
Solid-pseudopapillary neoplasm (SPN) is a rare type of pancreatic neoplasm. A cytopathological diagnosis is often mandatory before performing surgical resection. Endo-ultrasonography with fine needle aspiration (EUS-FNA) improve significantly pre-operative SPN diagnosis accuracy. So far, few EUS-FNA performed for SPN were published, and safety of EUS-FNA for SPN has never been investigated. This retrospective European multicenter case-control study compared the recurrence rate in patients with and without EUS-FNA performed before primary tumor resection.
By means of digital droplet PCR (ddPCR), this study examines blood samples from patients newly diagnosed with cervical cancer to investigate whether it is possible to measure the presence and amount of HPV DNA in these blood samples. The first blood sample is taken at time of diagnosis, and follow-up blood samples are collected during treatment- and follow-up visits. We expect to find a correlation between the disease stage and the viral load and also a decline in viral load after treatment. Furthermore, we hope that this method may serve as a way of detecting disease recurrence earlier than what is possible today.
This phase I/II trial studies the side effects and how well nivolumab and ipilimumab works when given together with stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) in treating patients with salivary gland cancers. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab and ipilimumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Stereotactic body radiation therapy uses special equipment to position a patient and deliver radiation to tumors with high precision. This method can kill tumor cells with fewer doses over a shorter period and cause less damage to normal tissue. Giving nivolumab and ipilimumab and SBRT may work better in treating patients with advanced salivary gland cancers.
The proposed study will include patients with non-haematologic cancer. Eligible patients will be invited to consent for participation in our study using standard demographic data collection forms and patient satisfaction questionnaires. Cancer patients interested in learning more about clinical trials would be invited to go to the kiosk. A summer student approved and hired according to London Health Sciences Centre LHSC/Lawson criteria will be available from 0900-1630 daily for general assistance. If the student is overwhelmed by questions or numbers of patients, the Research Navigator or designate would be called to assist. An information kiosk will be placed at the patient library on the ground floor of the LRCP. This kiosk will be outfitted with a computer and signage briefly outlining the title and purpose of the kiosk. Cancer patients interested in learning more about clinical trials would be invited to participate in our study by signing a consent form allowing the Research Navigator to contact them if they expressed interest in knowing more about a clinical trial.
The purpose of this study is to understand current practices for engaging with informal (unpaid) caregivers of patients with cancer, characterize the availability of supportive care services, and assess the perspectives of multi-disciplinary oncology health care providers regarding identifying and supporting caregivers.
