View clinical trials related to Lung Neoplasms.
Filter by:There is a direct association between cancer and thrombosis (blood clots). The purpose of this study is to determine the best dose of an antithrombotic (prevents blood clots) agent called fondaparinux in non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC). Patients will also receive chemotherapy.
The purpose of this study is to determine if cisplatin and pemetrexed are effective in the treatment of patients with Small Cell Lung Cancer, extended disease.
Experiments suggest that low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) inhibits tumor growth and metastasis. Studies in humans suggest that LMWH is associated with a higher survival in patients with cancer related thrombosis. Two recent studies suggest that LMWH may increase the survival of patients with cancer who do not have an associated thrombosis. The purpose of the study is to assess the effect of LMWH on the overall survival of patients with localized non-small cell lung cancer after complete surgical resection.
This Phase III clinical trial which incorporates an initial Phase II component will determine the survival of advanced Non-small cell lung cancer patients when treated with MK0683 and paclitaxel plus carboplatin
The purpose of this study is to determine whether INNO-206 is effective in the treatment of small cell lung cancer.
RATIONALE: Studying samples of blood and tissue from patients with cancer in the laboratory may help doctors learn more about changes that occur in DNA and identify biomarkers related to cancer. It may also help the study of cancer in the future. PURPOSE: This clinical trial is analyzing the DNA in blood and tissue samples from patients with lung cancer.
RATIONALE: Stereotactic body radiation therapy may be able to send x-rays directly to the tumor and cause less damage to normal tissue. PURPOSE: This phase I/II trial is studying the side effects and best dose of stereotactic body radiation therapy and to see how well it works in treating patients with stage I or stage II non-small cell lung cancer.
RATIONALE: OGX-011 may kill tumor cells by blocking some of the proteins that may cause tumor cells to grow. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as docetaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving OGX-011 together with docetaxel may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of OGX-011 when given together with docetaxel in treating patients with metastatic or locally recurrent solid tumors.
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel albumin-stabilized nanoparticle formulation, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Pemetrexed may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Giving paclitaxel albumin-stabilized nanoparticle formulation together with pemetrexed may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase I/II trial is studying the side effects and best dose of paclitaxel albumin-stabilized nanoparticle formulation when given together with pemetrexed and to see how well they work in treating patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer, breast cancer, or other solid tumors.
This phase II trial is studying how well dasatinib works in treating patients with relapse small cell lung cancer. Dasatinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.
