An Open-label, Randomised Multicenter Phase 3b Study to Determine the Confirmed Rate of Molecular Response ≥ 4 Log (MR4) at Two Years

DECLINE
Start date: March 2014
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is an open-label, multicenter, randomised phase 3b clinical trial of Imatinib 400 to 800 mg daily versus Nilotinib 300 mg two times daily in chronic phase CML patients with confirmed MMR without MR4.5

NCT ID: NCT02172872 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML)

"InDACtion" vs "3+7" Induction in AML

Start date: November 28, 2014
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Older patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) have a small (< 10%) chance of long-term survival. Despite the treatment of elderly AML patients with intensive chemotherapy, the survival has not been improved during the last decades. The purpose of this study is to determine whether frontline therapy with a 10-day decitabine schedule provides a better survival than standard intensive combination chemotherapy in elderly AML patients (>= 60 years).

NCT ID: NCT02172365 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Chronic Myeloid Leukemia

Allogeneic SCT for CML, TKI Failure After TKI Failure

Start date: March 1, 2014
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The investigators will evaluate the outcomes of allogeneic stem cell transplantation which is the only curative treatment modality in the patients with chronic myeloid leukemia after failing tyrosine kinase inhibitor therapy. However, any update was not reported on the transplant outcomes in the patients failed TKI therapy, thus necessitating update of this data. Also, the European Group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) risk score is still of value, but insufficient numbers of patients have been transplanted in recent years and after TKI therapy to allow a robust reanalysis. Our study hypothesis is that allogeneic SCT treatment modality can rescue CML patients who failed TKI therapy due to resistance or to intolerance with improved survival and long-term outcomes. Also, another hypothesis will be examined if the EBMT risk score proposed pre-imatinib era can reproduce similar prognostic risk stratification of long-term outcomes in the patients treated with TKI.

NCT ID: NCT02171117 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Safety and Efficacy Study of Microtransplantation to Treat Elderly Acute Myeloid Leukemia

IMCG-EAML
Start date: March 2014
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Patients enrolled from each center according to confirmed criteria specified in cooperative scheme are randomly assigned to standard induction and consolidation chemotherapy with microtransplantation (MST-group)or without (CT-group).Compare the remission rate and 2-year disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival(OS) rate of the two groups.

NCT ID: NCT02169791 Completed - Multiple Myeloma Clinical Trials

Nonmyeloablative Haploidentical Transplant Followed by MLN9708

Start date: July 15, 2014
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

In an attempt to reduce relapse risk and improve outcomes following haploidentical transplantation for patients with high risk hematologic malignancies, the investigators will implement several strategies to augment the well documented effect of NK cell alloreactivity seen in HLA-mismatched transplantation. These strategies include (1) choosing potential haploidentical donors for optimal NK-alloreactivity, (2) utilizing proteasome inhibition post-transplant with MLN9708 to both sensitize tumor cells to NK cytotoxicity and protect against graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), and (3) eliminating mycophenolate mofetil from the post-transplant immunosuppression regimen to improve NK cell reconstitution following haploidentical peripheral blood stem cell transplantation.

NCT ID: NCT02168907 Terminated - Clinical trials for Recurrent Mantle Cell Lymphoma

CPI-613, Bendamustine Hydrochloride, and Rituximab in Treating Patients With Relapsed or Refractory B-Cell Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma

Start date: December 2014
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of CPI-613 (6,8-bis[benzylthio]octanoic acid) when given together with bendamustine hydrochloride and rituximab in treating patients with B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma that has come back or has not responded to treatment. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as 6,8-bis(benzylthio)octanoic acid and bendamustine hydrochloride, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Monoclonal antibodies, such as rituximab, may find cancer cells and help kill them. Giving 6,8-bis(benzylthio)octanoic acid with bendamustine hydrochloride and rituximab may kill more cancer cells.

NCT ID: NCT02168140 Completed - Clinical trials for Peripheral T-cell Lymphoma

CPI-613 and Bendamustine Hydrochloride in Treating Patients With Relapsed or Refractory T-Cell Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma or Hodgkin Lymphoma

Start date: September 2014
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of CPI-613 when given together with bendamustine hydrochloride in treating patients with relapsed or refractory T-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma or Hodgkin lymphoma. CPI-613 may kill cancer cells by turning off their mitochondria, which are used by cancer cells to produce energy and are the building blocks needed to make more cancer cells. By shutting off mitochondria, CPI-613 may deprive the cancer cells of energy and other supplies needed to survive and grow. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as bendamustine hydrochloride, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving CPI-613 with bendamustine hydrochloride may kill more cancer cells.

NCT ID: NCT02167958 Completed - Lymphoma Clinical Trials

Nonmyeloablative Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation (HCT) for Patients With Hematologic Malignancies Using Related, HLA-Haploidentical Donors: A Pilot Trial of Peripheral Blood Stem Cells (PBSC) as the Donor Source

Start date: February 11, 2015
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine whether stem cells collected from a donor's blood stream will be as safe and effective as using bone marrow collected from a donor's pelvic bone.

NCT ID: NCT02167360 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
