PTCy and Ruxolitinib vs PTCy, Tacrolimus and MMF in MUD and Haploidentical HSCT

PTCyRuxo
Start date: November 3, 2020
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is multicenter investigator-initiated randomized open-label phase II clinical trial to compare prophylaxis of graft versus host disease treated with tacrolimus and mycophenolate mofetil versus ruxolitinib after post-transplant cyclophosphamide. In total 128 patients will be included in the study. After inclusion into the study and performing of transplantation patients will be randomized in 1:1 proportion in two arms (64 patients per arm): arm A will include patients who will be treated with cyclophosphamide and ruxolitinib for GVHD prophylaxis; arm B will include patients who will be treated with cyclophosphamide, tacrolimus and MMF for GVHD prophylaxis. After the end of the treatment patients will be followed-up during two years.

NCT ID: NCT04669067 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Acute Myeloid Leukemia

TL-895 and KRT-232 Study in Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Start date: March 31, 2021
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study evaluates TL-895, a potent, orally available and highly selective irreversible tyrosine kinase inhibitor combined with navtemadlin (KRT-232), a novel oral small molecule inhibitor of MDM2 for the treatment of adults with FLT3 mutated Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Participants must be relapsed/refractory (e.g., having failed prior therapy) to be eligible for this study.

NCT ID: NCT04668885 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Myelodysplastic Syndromes

CPX-351 as a Novel Approach for the Treatment of Older Patients With AML and MDS

Start date: January 14, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate how effective lower doses of CPX-351 are in older participants with relapsed/refractory acute myeloid leukemia (AML) who are not eligible to receive intensive chemotherapy and in participants with myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) after Hypomethylating Agents (HMA) failure.

NCT ID: NCT04666649 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Relapsed or Refractory Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Pegcrisantaspase in Combination With Venetoclax for Treatment of Relapsed or Refractory Acute Myeloid Leukemia (R/R AML)

Start date: March 10, 2021
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

Evaluate the safety and tolerability of pegcrisantaspase in combination with venetoclax (Ven-PegC) and estimate the maximum tolerated doses and/or biologically active doses of Ven-PegC in patients with relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia (R/R AML)

NCT ID: NCT04666259 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia - Chronic Phase

Asciminib in Monotherapy for Chronic Myeloid Leukemia in Chronic Phase (CML-CP) With and Without T315I Mutation

AIM4CML
Start date: May 25, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study will be a multicenter Phase IIIb open-label, three-cohort study of asciminib in patients with CML-CP without T315I mutation who have had at least 2 prior TKIs and CML-CP harboring the T315I mutation with at least 1 prior TKI

NCT ID: NCT04666038 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia

Study of LOXO-305 Versus Investigator's Choice (IdelaR or BR) in Patients With Previously Treated Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL)/Small Lymphocytic Lymphoma (SLL)

BRUIN CLL-321
Start date: March 9, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a study for patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) or small lymphocytic leukemia (SLL) who have previously received treatment with at least a BTK inhibitor. The main purpose is to compare LOXO-305 to idelalisib plus rituximab or bendamustine plus rituximab. Participation could last up to four years, and possibly longer, if the disease does not progress.

NCT ID: NCT04666025 Completed - Clinical trials for Acute Myeloid Leukemia

SARS-CoV-2 Donor-Recipient Immunity Transfer

Start date: September 23, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study investigates whether donors with previous exposure to COVID-19 can pass their immunity by hematopoietic (blood) stem cell transplant (HCT) donation to patients that have not been exposed. Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is the virus that causes the COVID19 infection. This study may provide critical information for medical decision-making and possible immunotherapy interventions in immunocompromised transplant recipients, who are at high risk for COVID19 severe illness.

NCT ID: NCT04665115 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia

Ibrutinib for the Treatment of Patients With B-Cell Malignancies Who Are Infected With Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)

Start date: November 23, 2020
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This phase II trial studies the effects of ibrutinib in treating patients with B-cell malignancies who are infected with COVID-19. Ibrutinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Ibrutinib is a first in class Bruton tyrosine kinase inhibitor (BTKi), for the treatment of B-cell malignancies. This study is being done to determine if taking ibrutinib after contracting COVID-19 will make symptoms better or worse.

NCT ID: NCT04663516 Completed - Fatigue Clinical Trials

Effectiveness of Exercise Through Video Games in Reducing Fatigue Among Children With Leukemia

Start date: September 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

40 children with cancer who fulfills the inclusion criteria will be included. Participants will be recruited from King Fahad Children's Cancer Center, King Fahad Medical City and King Khaled University Hospital. After obtaining written formal consent, children will be randomly assigned to two groups, control and experimental. Experimental group will play 60 minutes of Wii physical activity games for three weeks, twice each week. while control group will receive conventional therapy. Fatigue will be assessed using pediatric multidimensional fatigue scale- child proxy before, weekly during the study and after. Functional capacity will be measured by six minute walk test before and after study duration, and physical activity will be repeatedly measured by godin-shephard leisure time physical activity questionnaire. All data will be analyzed using appropriate statistical analysis.

NCT ID: NCT04663100 Recruiting - Multiple Myeloma Clinical Trials

Oral Adherence in Hematological Oncology Agents and Impact on Comorbid Therapy Adherence

Start date: February 8, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The objective of this study is to improve medication, symptom, and disease management of patients with hematological malignancies and multiple chronic conditions (2 or more conditions in addition to cancer) through care coordination between pharmacists working in oncology practices and those working in primary care or community practices (Pharmacists Coordinated care Oncology Model [PCOM]). This is a pilot study in which the investigators will examine the association between outcome measures, but the study design and sample size are insufficient to quantify the impact of OAA initiation or OAA adherence on adherence to chronic medications. This pilot study and data analyses are being done in preparation for a larger, controlled study.
