PredictEndTB Signature for Individualizing Treatment in Multidrug-Resistant Tuberculosis

Start date: April 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

PredictEndTB signature is a non-inferiority, prospective, parallel-group open-label randomized controlled trial evaluating the efficacy of individualised antituberculous treatment durations that utilize the transcriptomic signature-based model compared to the standardised twenty months treatment in a cohort of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis patients.

NCT ID: NCT04782674 Recruiting - EBV Infection Clinical Trials

Study on the Application of Saliva EBV-DNA Detection in EBV Infection Related Diseases

Start date: March 15, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study is a single-center, prospective, observational clinical study to evaluate the Application of saliva EBV-DNA Detection in EBV Infection Related Diseases

NCT ID: NCT04781530 Completed - Clinical trials for Community-acquired Acute Lower Respiratory Infection

Advanced Diagnostics for Enhanced QUality of Antibiotic Prescription in Respiratory Tract Infections in Emergency Rooms

ADEQUATE
Start date: July 7, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study is a randomized controlled trial where participants are randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to either a rapid test group or a control group. Standard care is provided in the control group. Follow-up is conducted until discharge from the hospital, followed by telephone check-ins and completion of questionnaires by the participants themselves or their proxies until 30 days after randomization. Children of any age presenting at selected participating sites with acute respiratory tract infections, where initial treatment decisions are uncertain, are eligible to participate. The study aims to enrol 520 participants and involves Paediatric Emergency Rooms across Europe.

NCT ID: NCT04781426 Completed - HIV Infections Clinical Trials

PrEP Among MSM and TG in Myanmar

PrEP
Start date: October 28, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

HIV is concentrated among key populations in Myanmar. Globally, HIV-prevalence among transgender (TG) women is one of the highest; laboratory-confirmed prevalence is reported up to 40%. In September 2015, WHO recommended the use of Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) for people at substantial risk of HIV as part of a combination HIV prevention strategy. A demonstration project will take place to implement and evaluate the uptake and effectiveness of PrEP among MSM, and TG women in a clinic in Hlaingtharyar township, Yangon. The aim is to describe PrEP uptake, as well as HIV-seroconversion and STI infection rates among those who use PrEP.

NCT ID: NCT04781387 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Clostridioides Difficile Infection

Evaluation of CRS3123 vs. Oral Vancomycin in Adult Patients With Clostridioides Difficile Infection

Start date: January 5, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this research is to evaluate the primary objectives of safety and efficacy (rate of clinical cure) of 2 dosages of CRS3123 (200 mg and 400 mg) administered orally (po) twice daily (bid) and vancomycin administered 125 mg PO 4 times daily (qid) in adults > or equal to 18 years of age with a primary episode or first recurrence of CDI. The study will investigate the plasma concentrations and HRQoL outcomes of CRS3123 and additional efficacy endpoints as secondary objectives.

NCT ID: NCT04780581 Terminated - Clinical trials for Corona Virus Infection

Glucocorticoid Therapy in Coronavirus Disease COVID-19 Patients

Start date: February 1, 2021
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Treatment with glucocorticoids in COVID patients. Low-intervention, phase IV, open-label, randomised, low-intervention clinical trial comparing 2 active treatments.

NCT ID: NCT04778059 Terminated - Clinical trials for SARS-CoV-2 Infection

Safety and Efficacy of USB002 for Respiratory Distress Due to COVID-19

Start date: July 27, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This trial will study the use of USB002 given as an intravenous infusion in patients with respiratory distress due to infection with COVID-19.

NCT ID: NCT04777747 Completed - Clinical trials for Bacterial Infections

The Role of Lactate in Viral and Bacterial Infection

Start date: January 1, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Acute upper respiratory tract infection(AURI) is common in children, and viral infection is the main cause. However, several children with viral infection are easy to suffer from secondary bacterial infection, and the mechanism is unclear.

NCT ID: NCT04777058 Completed - Pharmacokinetics Clinical Trials

Pharmacokinetics of Isavuconazole in Patients in the Intensive Care Unit

ICONIC
Start date: March 1, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

20 patients admitted to the ICU department and receiving isavuconazole as part of standard care for the treatment of fungal infections will be included in the study. Between day 3 and 7, 8 samples will be collected at t = 0 (pre-dose), and t = 0.5, 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 12 hours after end of infusion to obtain a PK curve. An optional, additional sample can be collected after discontinuation of isavuconazole therapy if possible. Total and free isavuconazole concentrations will be determined. A pharmacokinetic model will be fitted to the data from all individuals simultaneously. Data will be analysed using non-linear mixed effects modelling (NONMEM).
