Dupilumab and Milk OIT for the Treatment of Cow's Milk Allergy

This is a phase 2, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, parallel group, 2 arm study in approximately 40 subjects aged 4 to 50 years, inclusive, who are allergic to cow's milk. The primary objective is to assess whether dupilumab as an adjunct to milk oral immunotherapy (OIT) compared to placebo improves the safety of milk OIT and rates of desensitization, defined as an increase in the proportion of subjects who pass a double-blind placebo-controlled food challenge (DBPCFC) to at least 2040 mg cumulative milk protein at week 18.

Comparison of pCR Rate After Neadjuvant Chemotherapy Guided by Result of in Vitro Cell Culture Drug Sensitivity or Physician's Choice

Neoadjuvant chemotherapy is an important treatment for breast cancer patients. Patients with triple negative or Her2 enriched subtype who achieved pCR after neoadjuvant chemotherapy would have longer survival. But the overall pCR rate of breast cancer was about 20%. So, different methods have tried to improve pCR rate.Drug sensitivity screening in vitro for different chemotherapy drugs was a promising method for improving pCR rate. But there was no method could select effective drugs accurately for breast cancer patients until now. This study will explore whether drug screening by culturing breast cancer cells in vitro from breast cancer tissue could improve pCR rate compared with traditional neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Breast cancer patients who were candidates for neoadjuvant chemotherapy will be allocated two group. One group will receive neoadjuvant cheotherapy according physician's choices. Another group will receive neoadjuvant chemotherapy according results of drug sensitivity results by in vitro cell culture. pCR rate will be compared between two groups to explore whether drug sensitivity screening could improve pCR rate.

Exploring the Anti-inflammatory Properties of Cannabis and Their Relevance to Insulin Sensitivity

This study tests the effects of cannabinoid levels in blood on inflammation and insulin sensitivity both acutely and chronically in individuals across the weight spectrum. To that end, the study employs two observational designs: 1) A study of acute effects with intermittent cannabis users and 2) A study in which current cannabis users will select one of three cannabis strains for four weeks and are compared to a matched control group who do not use cannabis to study chronic effects. Blood levels of THC and CBD, inflammatory biomarkers, and insulin resistance will be measured in both studies.

Efficacy of CPP-ACP on Bleaching Related Sensitivity

Objective: The purpose of this randomized controlled split-mouth clinical trial was to evaluate the effectiveness of MI paste in reducing sensitivity associated vital bleaching. Methods: 45 subjects were randomly divided into two groups, based upon which arch received MI Paste. Group 1 bleached Maxillary arch, Group 2 bleached mandibular arch. Two weeks later subjects stopped bleaching the first arch and started second arch. Sensitivity was measured by VAS daily log scale for two weeks. Shade was taken with colorimeter and Classic Vita shade guide at baseline, immediate post-bleaching, and two weeks post-bleaching. Longitudinal sensitivity over the 14 days period of bleaching was summarized. The Wilcoxon Signed Rank test was used to compare summary measures.

The proposed study will investigate the effect of a polyunsaturated fatty acid / lipid mixture (LCPUFAs) on the clinical symptoms, bronchial inflammation and lung function in allergic asthma in a bronchial allergen provocation (BAP) model. For this purpose, patients with stable episodic asthma and dust mite allergy will underwent BAP before and after supplementation with LCPUFAs. The clinical symptoms, bronchial inflammation, exhaled NO increase and lung function decline (FEV1) will be analyzed.
