Filter by:The effects of treatment with different doses of PEGASYS in combination with different doses of ribavirin will be evaluated in patients with CHC genotype 1 who have a high viral titer, body weight greater than 85kg (187lbs) and no prior treatment with interferon. The anticipated time on study treatment is 3-12 months and the target sample size is 100-500 individuals.
This study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of different durations of treatment with PEGASYS combined with ribavirin in patients with CHC genotype 2 or 3 infection who have never previously received interferon (IFN) therapy. The anticipated time on study treatment is 3-12 months and the target sample size is 500+ individuals.
This research study was conducted to compare the safety and effectiveness of the investigational medication, LdT (Telbivudine) versus Lamivudine, a drug currently approved by the US, European and Asian Health Authorities for the treatment of Hepatitis B infection. The results for patients taking LdT will be compared to results for patients taking lamivudine.
This is a multi-center phase 3, open-label, parallel-group study designed to evaluate the efficacy, safety and pharmacokinetics of adefovir dipivoxil liquid suspension in patients with chronic hepatitis B and varying degrees of renal impairment.
This study is being conducted to compare the safety and effectiveness of the investigational medication, LdT (Telbivudine) with Lamivudine, a drug currently approved by the US, European and Asian Health Authorities for the treatment of hepatitis B infection. This study will examine the effectiveness of low-dose peginterferon and ribavirin therapy for certain patients with chronic hepatitis C-a liver disease that, in some patients, can progress to cirrhosis of the liver, liver cancer, and liver failure.
The objective of the study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of PEG-Intron versus no treatment for the prevention of fibrosis progression in adult participants with moderate to severe liver fibrosis secondary to chronic hepatitis C, who failed PEG-Intron plus Rebetol treatment in protocol P02370 (NCT00039871).
The purpose of this study is to determine the safety and efficacy of Pegasys + placebo + lamivudine versus lamivudine alone in patients with lamivudine versus lamivudine alone in patients with hepatitis B antigen CHB.
The objective of the study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of PEG-Intron vs. no treatment for the prevention of disease progression in adult subjects with compensated cirrhosis secondary to chronic hepatitis C, who failed to respond to therapy with an a interferon plus ribavirin.
The purpose of this study is to assess the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of 4 weeks therapy with FK788 in subjects with chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. Also, to assess the effect of FK788 on serum ALT concentration and hepatitis C viral level during therapy and for four weeks following therapy.
