Serum Cholesterol and Gastric Neoplasm

SCGN
Start date: February 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

Investigators have a plan to conduct nested case-control study to investigate the association between serum cholesterol levels including TC, HDL-C, LDL-C, triglyceride (TG), apolipoproteins and gastric neoplasm. In addition, further analyses were performed to evaluate the possible role of the serum cholesterol as a predictor for the differentiation and prognosis of gastric neoplasm.

NCT ID: NCT02030561 Recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

NK Cell Infusions With Trastuzumab for Patients With HER2+ Breast and Gastric Cancer

Start date: January 2014
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study will determine the safety and efficacy of expanded activated autologous NK cells administered after Trastuzumab in patients with HER2-positive breast or gastric cancer. It will also provide valuable insights of the role of NK cell infusions in adult solid tumors.

NCT ID: NCT02024438 Recruiting - Gastric Cancer Clinical Trials

Monosialotetrahexosylganglioside Sodium Injection for Prevention Neurotoxicity of mFOLFOX 6 in Advanced Gastric Cancer

Start date: December 2013
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

For gastric patients of Karnofsky scores between 60-80 scores, mFolfox6 is an option for chemotherapy. Neutropenia and oxaliplatin-induced neurotoxicity are the most common adverse effects which even result in discontinue of chemotherapy, especially for patients suffered from heavily acute neurotoxicity. Monosialotetrahexosylganglioside is a component of membrane of nerve cells. Previous phase II clinical trial showed, it can reduce oxaliplatin-induced neurotoxicity(OIN). But it did not certificated by phase III trial. A phase III trial is needed to investigate the effect and safety of monosialotetrahexosylganglioside Sodium Injection for prevention OIN at gastric cancer.

NCT ID: NCT02024217 Recruiting - Gastric Cancer Clinical Trials

Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy Plus Chemoradiation in Patients With Potentially Resectable Gastric Carcinoma

NEWEAR
Start date: March 2012
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

To investigate the feasibility, safety and tolerability of Preoperative Chemoradiation in Patients With Localized Gastric Cancer. Primary endpoint: R0 resection rate. Secondary endpoint: resection rate, pathological complete regression (pCR), effectiveness and safety of regime, disease free survival(DFS) and overall survival(OS).

NCT ID: NCT02012699 Recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Integrated Cancer Repository for Cancer Research

iCaRe2
Start date: November 1, 2013
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

The iCaRe2 is a multi-institutional resource created and maintained by the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center to collect and manage standardized, multi-dimensional, longitudinal data and biospecimens on consented adult cancer patients, high-risk individuals, and normal controls. The distinct characteristic of the iCaRe2 is its geographical coverage, with a significant percentage of small and rural hospitals and cancer centers. The iCaRe2 advances comprehensive studies of risk factors of cancer development and progression and enables the design of novel strategies for prevention, screening, early detection and personalized treatment of cancer. Centers with expertise in cancer epidemiology, genetics, biology, early detection, and patient care can collaborate by using the iCaRe2 as a platform for cohort and population studies.

NCT ID: NCT01996059 Recruiting - Gastric Cancer Clinical Trials

Functional Jejunal Interposition Improve Nutritional Status After Total Gastrectomy

FJINS
Start date: July 2012
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to find out whether the nutritional status of patients undergoing Functional Jejunal Interposition is better than those with Roux-en-Y After Total Gastrectomy for Gastric Cancer. To find a better reconstruction for patients who received total gastrectomy.

NCT ID: NCT01980407 Recruiting - Gastric Cancer Clinical Trials

Feasibility Study of SOL (S-1,Oral Leucovorin, and Oxaliplatin) in Patients With Advanced Gastric Cancer

Start date: November 2013
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

In China, S-1 is an novel oral fluoropyrimidine with demonstrated high efficacy on gastrointestinal cancer. The new regimen with oxaliplatin and leucovorin is expected to achieve more encouraging efficacy on gastric cancer. This study is aimed to evaluate the feasibility of the SOL regimen on efficacy and tolerability on Chinese patients with advanced gastric cancer.

NCT ID: NCT01979549 Recruiting - Gastric Cancer Clinical Trials

Adverse Events During Upper Gastrointestinal Endoscopy

AEDUGESSH
Start date: December 2013
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The primary objective is to investigate the adverse events during upper gastrointestinal endoscopy with and without sedation in Chinese population

NCT ID: NCT01963702 Recruiting - Gastric Cancer Clinical Trials

A Phase II Trial of Exploring the Predictive Factors of TX and XELOX Regimen in the First Line Treatment of MGC

Start date: August 2012
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Platinum, fluorouracil and taxane based regimen are all acceptable in the first line treatment of metastatic gastric cancer. The TX and XELOX regimen are two common regimen used in MGC. whichever regimen is used, the average response rate is less than 50%. So a rather part of patients can't get benefit from the treatment. It is urgent to find out the predictive factors of these regimens in order to get a higher response and better survival outcome.
