NCT ID: NCT01484015 Completed - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Prolonged or Standard Infusion of Cefepime Hydrochloride in Treating Patients With Febrile Neutropenia

Start date: February 2011
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This randomized pilot clinical trial studies how well giving prolonged infusion compared to standard infusion of cefepime hydrochloride works in treating patients with febrile neutropenia. Giving cefepime hydrochloride over a longer period of time may be more effective than giving cefepime hydrochloride over the standard time.

NCT ID: NCT01358617 Completed - Clinical trials for Recurrent Neuroblastoma

Prognostic Biomarkers in Tumor Tissue Samples From Young Patients With Neuroblastoma

Start date: May 2011
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

This research study is studying biomarkers in tumor tissue samples from young patients with neuroblastoma. Studying samples of tissue from patients with cancer in the laboratory may help doctors identify biomarkers and learn more about biomarkers related to cancer

NCT ID: NCT01305200 Completed - Clinical trials for Chronic Myelomonocytic Leukemia

Supersaturated Calcium Phosphate Rinse in Preventing Oral Mucositis in Young Patients Undergoing Autologous or Donor Stem Cell Transplant

Start date: March 2011
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This randomized phase III trial is studying how well Caphosol rinse works in preventing mucositis in young patients undergoing autologous or donor stem cell transplant. Supersaturated calcium phosphate (Caphosol) rinse may be able to prevent mucositis, or mouth sores, in patients undergoing stem cell transplant.

NCT ID: NCT00898391 Completed - Clinical trials for Recurrent Neuroblastoma

Study of DNA in Blood Samples From Patients With Neuroblastoma

Start date: June 2007
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

This research trial studies is deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) in blood samples from patients with neuroblastoma. Studying samples of blood from patients with cancer in the laboratory may help doctors learn more about changes that occur in DNA and identify biomarkers related to cancer. It may also help doctors predict how patients will respond to treatment.

NCT ID: NCT00799461 Completed - Depression Clinical Trials

Internet-Based Program With or Without Telephone-Based Problem-Solving Training in Helping Long-Term Survivors of Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant Cope With Late Complications

Start date: August 2008
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: A personalized Internet-based program may help improve fatigue, depression, and quality of life in long-term survivors of stem cell transplant. It is not yet known whether an Internet-based program is more effective with or without telephone-based problem-solving training. PURPOSE: This randomized clinical trial is studying how well an Internet-based program works with or without telephone-based problem-solving training in helping long-term survivors of hematopoietic stem cell transplant cope with late complications

NCT ID: NCT00795769 Completed - Clinical trials for Chronic Myelomonocytic Leukemia

Ondansetron in Preventing Nausea and Vomiting in Patients Undergoing Stem Cell Transplant

Start date: August 2008
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Ondansetron may help lessen or prevent nausea and vomiting in patients undergoing stem cell transplant. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well ondansetron works in preventing nausea and vomiting in patients undergoing stem cell transplant.

NCT ID: NCT00436852 Completed - Clinical trials for Recurrent Neuroblastoma

ABT-751 in Treating Children With Neuroblastoma That Has Relapsed or Not Responded to Previous Treatment

Start date: January 2007
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This phase II trial is studying how well ABT-751 works in treating children with neuroblastoma that has relapsed or not responded to previous treatment. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as ABT-751, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing.

NCT ID: NCT00408681 Completed - Clinical trials for Chronic Myelomonocytic Leukemia

Lithium Carbonate in Treating Patients With Acute Intestinal Graft-Versus-Host-Disease After Donor Stem Cell Transplant

Start date: June 2006
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Lithium carbonate may be an effective treatment for intestinal graft-versus-host disease caused by a donor stem cell transplant. PURPOSE: This clinical trial is studying lithium carbonate in treating patients with acute intestinal graft-versus-host-disease after donor stem cell transplant.

NCT ID: NCT00309907 Completed - Clinical trials for Secondary Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Etanercept in Treating Young Patients With Idiopathic Pneumonia Syndrome After Undergoing a Donor Stem Cell Transplant

Start date: April 2006
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This phase II trial is studying how well etanercept works in treating young patients with idiopathic pneumonia syndrome after undergoing a donor stem cell transplant. Etanercept may be effective in treating patients with idiopathic pneumonia syndrome after undergoing a donor stem cell transplant.

NCT ID: NCT00093821 Completed - Clinical trials for Recurrent Childhood Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

Tanespimycin in Treating Young Patients With Recurrent or Refractory Leukemia or Solid Tumors

Start date: September 2004
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of tanespimycin in treating young patients with recurrent or refractory leukemia or selected solid tumors. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as tanespimycin, work in different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die.
