NCT ID: NCT00178594 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Blood Coagulation Disorders, Inherited

Evaluation of Hemostasis in Bleeding and Thrombotic Disorders

Start date: October 2002
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The objective of this study will be to assess the coagulation system in-vitro in a variety of bleeding and clotting disorders using the ROTEG analyzer and the thrombin generation assay.

NCT ID: NCT00178061 Completed - Clinical trials for Borderline Personality Disorder

Effects of Comorbid Personality Disorder on the Treatment of Bipolar I Disorder

Start date: August 1997
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This study will examine the impact of comorbid personality disorder on the outcome of treatment among patients with bipolar I disorder.

NCT ID: NCT00177008 Completed - Schizophrenia Clinical Trials

Aripiprazole for the Treatment of Schizophrenia With Co-Morbid Social Anxiety

Start date: March 2004
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This study will determine the efficacy of a medication switch to Aripiprazole for the treatment of schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder in patients with moderate to high symptoms of social anxiety. Specifically the study will test the possibility that a medication switch to Aripiprazole reduces symptoms of social anxiety in this patient population.

NCT ID: NCT00176865 Completed - Clinical trials for Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis

Stem Cell Transplant for Immunologic or Histiocytic Disorders

Start date: August 2002
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study tests the clinical outcomes of a preparative regimen of fludarabine (FLU), anti-thymocyte globulin (ATG)/or Campath, and melphalan; followed by hematopoietic stem cell transplant, and a post transplant regimen of Cyclosporin A (CsA) in patients with immunologic or histiocytic disorders. The researchers hypothesize that this regimen will have a positive effect on post transplant engraftment and the incidence of graft-versus-host-disease (GVHD). Patients will be randomized biologically into one of 3 arms based upon donor availability: (a) human leukocyte antigen (HLA) genotypic matched sibling donor, (b) HLA phenotypic matched unrelated peripheral blood stem cell (PBSC) donor, (c) two HLA 0-2 antigen mismatched unrelated cord blood donors (double cord).

NCT ID: NCT00176826 Terminated - Clinical trials for Hematologic Diseases

T-Cell Depletion and Stem Cell Transplant for Immune Deficiencies and Histiocytic Disorders

Start date: September 2000
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The hypothesis is to determine if a preparative regimen of busulfan, cyclophosphamide, and antithymocyte globulin (ATG) plus allogeneic stem cell transplantation will be effective in the treatment of immune deficiencies and histiocytic disorders.

NCT ID: NCT00169377 Completed - Clinical trials for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

Subthalamic Nucleus (STN) Stimulation and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

Start date: October 2005
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Obsessive-compulsive disorder is a disabling and frequent disorder. In some patients, the medical treatment is ineffective. The pathophysiology of this disease is still unknown. Some data suggest that basal ganglia dysfunction could participate in the occurrence of OCD. The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of subthalamic nucleus high-frequency stimulation in patients with severe OCD.

NCT ID: NCT00169052 Completed - Schizophrenia Clinical Trials

Health Care Management and Rehabilitation Skills Training for Treating Serious Mental Illness in Older People

Start date: September 2001
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study will evaluate the effectiveness of a health management and supported rehabilitation intervention in treating serious mental illnesses in older people.

NCT ID: NCT00169026 Terminated - Schizophrenia Clinical Trials

Alcoholism and Schizophrenia: Effects of Clozapine

Start date: May 1999
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to examine the short - term effects of clozapine on alcohol use in persons with schizophrenia and an alcohol use disorder. The hypothesis is that clozapine will have greater efficacy in reducing alcohol use than other antipsychotic medications.

NCT ID: NCT00168090 Completed - Clinical trials for Blood Coagulation Disorders

Study of Safety and Efficacy of Antihemophilic Factor/Von Willebrand Factor Complex in Surgical Subjects With Von Willebrand Disease (vWD)

Start date: October 2001
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to test the safety and effectiveness of Humate-P® to prevent bleeding in patients with von Willebrand Disease who are undergoing surgery.
