Filter by:Based on network pharmacology, Liuweiluobi Granule was screened to treat diabetes peripheral neuropathy with deficiency of the spleen and kidney and stasis-heat syndrome.In the preliminary animal experiment, it suggested that this granule had a significant protective effect on the peripheral motor nerves of diabetic peripheral neuropathy and the effect of anti-inflammation, and the prescription did not induce the death of zebrafish at a concentration of 1000 ug/mL, without any obvious toxicity. This study aims to evaluate the efficacy of Liuweiluobi Granule in improving neurotransmission function in patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy through a pilot, randomized controlled study.
To understand the clinical characteristics of DPN patients in China; To investigate the distribution of DPN patients with depression and anxiety symptoms; To investigate the related factors of moderate and severe pain in DPN patients; To investigate the treatment of pain and depression and/or anxiety in DPN patients.
Aim. To assess the effect of different doses of vitamin D supplementation on peripheral neuropathy in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). 68 patients with T2DM and peripheral neuropathy will be randomized into two treatment groups: cholecalciferol 5,000 IU once/week and cholecalciferol 40,000 IU once/week orally for 24 weeks. Severity of neuropathy (neuropathy symptom score (NSS), neuropathy disability score (NDS), visual analog scale (VAS)), body mass index (BMI), glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c), 25-hydroxycalciferol (25(OH)D), parathyroid hormone (PTH), serum interleukins (IL) 1β, 6 and 10, C-reactive protein, tumor necrosis factor α and microcirculation (MC) parameters assessed before and after treatment. The initial and final indicators of the skin blood flow (M, σ, Kv) and MC parameters after postural and occlusal tests by laser Doppler flowmetry (LDF). Sixteen subjects without diabetes will represent the control group.

Patients with type 2 DM who are following will be enrolled into the study. Two visits were scheduled for data collection, physical examination and laboratory testing of the patients: the first prior to initiation of alpha lipoic acid (ALA) administration (baseline visit) and the second at the end of the third month following initiation of ALA (2nd visit).
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of anodal transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) on pain intensity associated with diabetic neuropathy. The investigators will conduct real tDCS or sham, over the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) during 6 separated days. They will evaluate pain intensity, sleep quality, quality of life and anxiety and depression symptoms via clinical validated scales. The research question is whether tDCS can lessen neuropathic pain and improve sleep, psychological status and quality of life in patients with diabetic neuropathy. It is hypothesized, that less neuropathic pain and improved sleep, psychological status and quality of life after the tDCS sessions.
Patients with painful diabethic peripheral neuropathy will be entered.. Participants will be randomized to one of three study arms: Arm 1: relaxatio; Arm 2:meditation Arm 3: Attention matched control Hypothesis: Progressive muscle relaxation and mindfullness meditation will decrease severity of neuropathc pain and fatigue and improve quality of life.
