The Effect of Therapeutic Touch on Pain and Comfort After Cesarean Section

This study was conducted as randomized controlled study to evaluate the effect of Therapeutic Touch on acute pain and comfort level in women who delivered by cesarean section. Personal information form was used as data collection form, VAS was used to assess pain, and PPCQ was used to assess comfort. When power analysis was performed, the sample size was calculated to be at least 45 participants for each group (45 experiments, 45 controls). Experimental group received deep Therapeutic Touch by investigators two time at 10th and 40nd hours after cesarean section.

Comparison of the Efficacy of Paracetamol and Ibuprofen in the Management of Fever in Sepsis Patients

This is a randomized double-blind controlled study with the primary aim of scientifically evaluating the potential effects of paracetamol and ibuprofen in the management of sepsis by comparing their fever-reducing efficacy in septic patients. Sepsis is recognized as a severe form of systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS) characterized by organ dysfunction resulting from severe infections. This study aims to address a significant aspect of fever management in septic patients by objectively assessing the fever-reducing potential of paracetamol and ibuprofen.

Randomized Controlled Trial of Regulation-Focused Psychotherapy (RFP-C)

Regulation Focused Psychotherapy for Children (RFP-C) is a manualized, time-limited psychodynamic treatment for children with externalizing symptoms. RFP-C also holds the potential to treat a wider range of psychopathology, including comorbid internalizing conditions, because it aims to improve emotion regulation which is a transdiagnostic component of childhood mental health. This study will replicate previous findings supporting the efficacy of RFP-C. It will test the effectiveness of RFP-C in parallel groups via a pragmatic Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) conducted at Istanbul Bilgi University's outpatient clinic in Istanbul, Turkey with a sample of 80 children with externalizing and comorbid internalizing/externalizing problems in comparison to a parental awareness and child social skills group. The treatment's effectiveness and change mechanisms will be investigated both at short and long term. The project results will provide preliminary answers about the active ingredients of RFP-C, help improve therapeutic interventions, and design optimal treatments for common childhood problems.

For this reason, a total of 128 patients were planned to be included in the study, including a group of patients who were eligible for gallbladder surgery with transverse abdominis plane block (TAPB), a group of patients with quadratus lumborum plane block (QLB) and a group of patients with intravenous painkillers (IVA).

The Effect of Motor Image Training on Balance Performance in Geriatric Individuals

The goal of this study [type of study: clinical trial] is to was planned to investigate the effect of motor imagery training given to geriatric individuals with action observation on their balance performance and to compare these two methods. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. Is virtual reality-based balance training given together with action observation and motor imagery for six weeks in geriatric individuals more effective in improving static balance than virtual reality-based balance training given alone? 2. Is virtual reality-based balance training given together with action observation and motor imagery for six weeks in geriatric individuals more effective in improving dynamic balance than virtual reality-based balance training given alone? 3. Is virtual reality-based balance training given together with motor imagery for six weeks in geriatric individuals more effective in increasing balance confidence than virtual reality-based balance training given alone? 46 geriatric individuals will be randomized into 2 groups. Along with action observation, motor imagery training and virtual reality-based balance training will be given to the study group. On the other hand, only virtual reality-based balance training will be given to the control group. All assessments will be repeated before and after the trainings. The trainings will be applied 2 days a week for 6 weeks. Each training session; 25 minutes for the control group and 45 minutes for the study group.
