There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The primary aim of this study is to perform perform a psychometric analysis of Arabic Activity-specific Balance Confidence (A-ABC) and the Arabic Prosthetic Mobility Questionnaire (A-PMQ) through a modern psychometric approach involving Rasch analysis (RA) to enable its use among Arabic speaking population and to enhance confidence in its use patients with lower limb amputation.
Our aim in this study is to determine the positive effect of stem cell therapy applied on critically ill patients with coronavirus infection on DNA repair genes. Patients diagnosed with COVID-19 infection are divided into two equal (n:30) groups. Group-1(n/15): Patients in critically ill condition receiving conventional therapy, Group-2 (n/15): Patients in critically ill condition receiving conventional therapy and systemically transplanted MSCs. The DNA repair pathway will be examined as 11 genes in 5 different parts. Investigated parameters: 1. Base excision repair 2. Nucleotide excision repair 3. Recombinational repair 4. Mismatch repair 5. Direct reversal Investigated parameters: broad biochemical analysis, apoptosis, clinical outcome, and mortality rates.
This research will be carried out in a quasi-experimental design to determine the effect of maternity care and neonatal care training given to primiparous pregnant women on parental self-efficacy and mother-infant attachment in the postpartum period. Research Hypotheses: H0: There is no difference in parental self-efficacy and mother-infant attachment in the postpartum period between pregnant women who received training during pregnancy and did not. H1: There is a difference in parental self-efficacy and mother-infant attachment in the postpartum period between pregnant women who received and did not receive education during pregnancy.
The aim of the study is to compare the neutrophils to lymphocytes ratio (NLR), platelets to lymphocytes ratio (PLR), eosinophils to lymphocytes ratio (ELR), red blood cell distribution width (RDW), mean platelet volume (MPV), systemic immune inflammation index (SII), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) and C reactive protein (CRP) which are the hematological parameters associated with systemic inflammation in acute and subacute/chronic low back pain. Secondary purpose; evaluation of the prognostic roles of hematological parameters associated with systemic inflammation in low back pain in predicting chronicity. This study is a retrospective case-control study. The data of patients who applied to the emergency department with the complaint of acute (less than 4 weeks) low back pain or to the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation outpatient clinic with the complaint of subacute (lasting 4-12 weeks) or chronic (longer than 12 weeks) non-specific low back pain in the last 3 years will be scanned. The data of patients who applied with complaints other than medical conditions known to be associated with painful conditions and/or inflammatory response will be screened as a control group. The data of patients between the ages of 18-65 will be included in the study. In conclusion, the data of 150 patients who presented with acute non-specific low back pain, 150 patients who presented with subacute/chronic non-specific low back pain and 150 participants as the control group will be included in the study for use in analysis. Participants' age, gender, duration of low back pain (days), if evaluated, conditions associated with low back pain in cases with subacute/chronic pain, ESR, CRP, RDW, MPV, neutrophil count, lymphocyte count, eosinophil count and platelet count in blood tests at admission examinations will be recorded. NLR will be calculated by dividing the number of neutrophils by the number of lymphocytes, PLR by dividing the number of platelets by the number of lymphocytes, ELR by dividing the number of eosinophils by the number of lymphocytes, and SII by the formula "platelet numberxneutrophil number/lymphocyte number".
The investigators study aimed to observe the effect of motor learning-based tele-rehabilitation on quality of life in children with cerebral palsy during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The aim of the study was determined to examine the relationship between the health literacy scales of the patients who came to the smoking cessation clinic and their smoking cessation success. The patient follow-up files registered in the archive of the smoking cessation clinic will be scanned for the last 2 years and the demographic data and follow-up information of the patients will be reached. Patients who have completed the 1-year follow-up period will be contacted by phone, questioning whether they smoke or not, and will be invited to answer the health literacy scale. Accepting patients will be divided into two groups as those who quit smoking and those who cannot, and health literacy scales will be compared.
50 patients who meet the inclusion criteria will be included in this prospective, randomized and controlled study. Demographic information of the patients will be taken and recorded. After the patients are numbered according to the order of application, they will be divided into 2 groups as study and control groups according to randomization with the computer program. A total of 5 sessions of ESWT (1000 shock, 1.6 bar, 5 Hz) will be applied to the study group (1st group) for 2 weeks. Patients will be taught median nerve and tendon shifting exercises and will be asked to do it regularly. Patients in the control group (Group 2) will be asked to perform median nerve and tendon shifting exercises only for the wrist. Patients will be evaluated before treatment, at 4 and 12 weeks after treatment. In the evaluation, Boston Carpal Tunnel Inquiry Form, pain severity assessment with VAS (visual analog scale), neuropathic pain intensity with LANSS scale and median nerve conduction velocity with EMG will be evaluated.
The quadriceps angle (Q angle) is significant for the lower extremity alignment. Anatomical alignment of Q angle is related to Quadriceps muscle strength. Women have consistently been found to have larger Q angles than men and are more often affected due to patellofemoral problems. Quadriceps muscle activation and lower extremity alignment affect musculoskeletal health in women. The aim of this study wa s to determine the relationship between Q angle and quadriceps muscle activation on dynamic balance in women.
Colonoscopy is an endoscopic procedure for diagnosing colon diseases. Patients should be prepared 2-5 days in advance for this procedure and intestinal cleansing should be provided. This is a difficult process and does not admit mistakes. The adequacy of the patient's pre-preparation for this process increases the chances of success. For preliminary preparation, it is recommended to train the patient and reinforce the trainings by phone. Education given to the patient; It contributes positively to patient outcomes, the workload of healthcare personnel in the institution, and costs. Therefore, this study has been planned.
The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of co-formulated pembrolizumab/quavonlimab versus other treatments in participants with MSI-H or dMMR Metastatic Stage IV Colorectal Cancer.
