There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Supraspinatus tendinosis one of the most common pathologies of the musculoskeletal system. The aim of this study to investigate the relationship between supraspinatus tendinosis and shoulder morphology with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
Pressure Wound (PW) is a chronic wound that develops in soft tissue as a result of the capillary end pressure which rising above 32 mmHg. It is the most common complication with 31% annual incidence after spinal cord injuries. Pressure wound is considered as malpractice for nursing practices. It decreases the quality of life of the elderly and patients with mobility restrictions and prolongs the length of hospital stay. Complication development risk and cost are high. Factors affecting wound opening include the amount of pressure, duration, moisture, friction, nutrition, age, weight, hemoglobin value, chronic diseases. The development of preventive actions, protocol and standard in pressure wound planning of care is among the main goals of nursing care. The research will be carried out to evaluate the effect of hand massage in preventing pressure injuries. Patient with a high risk of developing pressure wound will constitute the experimental and control group of our study. Standard nursing care applied to the control group; unlike the control group hand massage will be applied to the experiment group.when the sample group determined in both the experimental and control groups is reached the study will be terminated. The pressure wound in both groups will be compared statistically and the effectiveness of hand massage in reducing the pressure wound will be determined. H0 :The applied classical hand massage has no effect on the formation of pressure wound. H1: The applied classical hand massage has effect on the formation of pressure wound.
This is a phase III randomized open label study designed to compare JDQ443 as monotherapy to docetaxel in participants with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) harboring a KRAS G12C mutation who have been previously treated with a platinum-based chemotherapy and immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy either in sequence or in combination.
Coronary angiography (CAG) is an invasive method for imaging the coronary arteries. The femoral artery is frequently used during CAG and patients feel pain and anxiety during removal of the catheters placed in the femoral region. These disorders also negatively affect the vital signs and comfort levels of patients. Different methods are used in direct proportion to the development of technology for relieving anxiety and pain caused by invasive surgical procedures in patients. These methods include virtual reality (VR) applications. Innovative, up-to-date and original, virtual reality is the fusion of fiction and technology with reality and imagination. These programs; It is stated that in addition to reducing the patient's anxiety and pain, it makes them feel safe, increases their comfort, care satisfaction and positively affects their participation in care. Acupressure is one of the most widely used non-pharmacological methods to reduce pain and anxiety, and one of the applications included in the Nursing Interventions Classification (NIC). Applications made with manipulations such as pressure and rubbing on certain points on the meridians where energy flow takes place in the body are called acupressure. It has been determined that acupressure applications in different areas reduce pain and anxiety and positively affect vital signs and patient comfort. Although there are studies in the literature in which different non-pharmacological methods are applied to reduce pain and anxiety caused by catheter extraction after CAG, positively affect vital signs, and increase the level of comfort, no research has been found in which acupressure method and virtual reality methods developed with today's technology are applied together. In this study, it was planned to reduce the pain and anxiety of the patients, to observe the effects on vital signs, and to increase their comfort levels, with acupressure application and virtual reality methods, which have not been applied non-pharmacologically until now, in patients who underwent CAG.
Most pregnant women have fear of labor. The reasons of fear of labor are different according to women. The investigators will examine the relationship between the descriptive features and level of fear of labor of pregnant women by using the Oxford worries about labour scale
Getting a cancer diagnosis, the difficult treatments applied and the side effects that occur completely affect the life of the patient, shaking his future plans and adaptation mechanisms. In recent years, the role of healthcare professionals has included counseling and promoting positive health behaviors to reduce disease and treatment side effects and increase adherence to disease. The service provided by healthcare professionals to patients has started to move to digital environments with the developing technology and the concept of e-health has been born. Offering e-health support as part of regular care has become a powerful tool to help cancer patients manage their disease. Web-based interventions or mobile applications provide an opportunity for improved communication and better information exchange between healthcare professionals and patients. In addition, education of cancer patients and patient self-management allow for better clinical outcomes using e-health or mobile health applications. The widespread use of smartphones enables cancer patients to be supported from different perspectives through mobile applications. When the studies are examined, it is noteworthy that mobile applications developed for female cancer patients are predominantly related to breast cancer. Most of the technology-based researches on gynecological cancers are studies conducted through text message intervention, online web-based interventions or social media tools such as Facebook and WeChat. For this reason, the aim of this study is to develop a mobile application to increase physical and psychosocial adjustment for gynecological cancer patients receiving chemotherapy and to investigate its effectiveness.
The study has two groups. one of them is experimental group that is given massage with clove oil. The other one is control group that is given standard midwifery care. Each group consists of 30 women. We will evaluate their labor pain scores by using Visual Analogue Scale before and after massage application.
The aim of our study is to compare the effects of foam roller plus dynamic stretching and kinesiotape plus dynamic stretching on performance parameters, pain and fatigue in football players. The results of our study will show the effects of the best choice between applications and help to reduce waste of time.
Introduction: To compare the acute effects of different stretching methods on ankle joint range of motion (ROM) in older adults. Methods: A total of 78 subjects aged 65 years and older were randomly divided into three groups. After the 5-minute walk, the randomly assigned method was applied. Static Stretching Group; static stretching in 3x30sec, PNF Stretching Group; PNF contract-relax in 3x30sec and Roller Massage Group; roller massage in 3x30sec was performed. Immediately after the application, 10 minutes and 20 minutes after application, the range of motion of the ankle joint was measured in the weight-bearing lunge position.
It is known that whole-body vibration (TVV) has beneficial neuromuscular effects such as muscle strength increase. These beneficial effects are explained by the muscular reflex response induced by TVV. Reflex latency measurement is frequently used in clinical and neurophysiological research. The latency of the reflex response induced by TVV is defined as the period between the onset of the vibration stimulus and the onset point of the spike in the EMG signal. The current research aimed to determine whether the cumulative average method is reliable for estimating the EST.
