There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Administration of intramuscular injections (IM) is now common practice in pediatric clinical settings. For this reason, nurses should both update their clinical skills and provide evidence-based practices to children. The aim of this study; The aim of this study is to compare vastus lateralis (VL) and ventrogluteal (VG) region applications in terms of pain and fear in safe and evidence-based intramuscular injection application in children. H0: There is no difference in terms of pain and fear between the children aged 4-6 years who received IM from the vastus lateralis (VL) region and those who received IM from the ventrogluteal (VG) region. H1: Children between the ages of 4 and 6 years IM administered from the vastus lateralis (VL) region have higher pain than those administered IM from the ventrogluteal (VG) region. H2: The fear of children aged 4-6 years who underwent IM from the vastus lateralis (VL) region is higher than that of children who were administered IM from the Ventrogluteal (VG) region.
This study was conducted as a randomized controlled trial to determine the effects of e-mobile education and counselling service on self-care agency, body image, and quality of life in patients undergoing bariatric surgery. The sample of the study was determined using power analysis after making preliminary tests with the patients who met the sample selection criteria in Isparta City Hospital Obesity Center, and consisted of 51 (26 experiment, 25 control) patients. The patients in the experimental group received e-mobile training and consultancy services with the mobile application developed specifically for bariatric surgery that started before the operation and lasted for 3 months. The data of the study were collected using the Personal Information Form, Self-Care Agency, Body Image, and Moorehead Ardelt Quality of Life II (MA-II) Scales prepared in accordance with the literature. In addition to descriptive statistics, Chi-Square, Independent Samples t-test, Repeated Measures, Mann-Whitney U and Friedman tests were used to evaluate the data. A statistically significant difference was found in the mean scores of Self-Care Strength, Body Image, MA-II and BMI of the patients in the experimental and control groups according to the processes (p>0.05). There was no statistically significant difference between the groups in terms of preoperative, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd month Self-Care Power, Body Image and MA-II scale mean scores (p>0.05). There was a statistically significant difference between the groups in favour of the experimental group in terms of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd month BMI averages (p<0.05).
The aim of this study is to determine the effect of the education given in technology addiction course to nursing students studying at a foundation university on students' perspectives on addiction and addiction levels.A self-report online survey method was used to collect data. After the data collection tools used were made suitable for filling in the online environment, the questionnaires were delivered to the participants using e-mail and social media networks. The pretest was collected just before the start of the personal development phase training on technology addiction. Then, technology addiction personal development training planned by the researcher was applied to the students in the experimental group for 10 weeks. After the end of the lessons, the same questionnaires were used as a posttest application. The same data collection tools were applied to the control group without any intervention.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the severity of urinary incontinence (UI) in elderly patients and its impact on the burden of care in their family caregivers.
There is no study in the literature comparing both kinesiotaping and Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT) with conventional physical therapy in upper trapezius myofascial pain syndrome. In this study, we aimed to make this comparison.
Pain neuroscience education (PNE) aims to explain to patients the biological and physiological processes involved in a pain experience and, more importantly, defocus the issues associated with the anatomical structures. It has been demonstrated for musculoskeletal pain, PNE provides compelling evidence in reducing pain, disability, pain catastrophization, and limited physical movement. Rotator cuff tears (RCT) often lead to pain aggrevation, deterioration of patients' functioning and considerable economic burden for health care resources requiring consultations, physiotherapy, radiological examinations and surgery. Despite costly arthroscopic surgeries and long-term physiotherapy treatments, satisfactory results are scarce. The lack of satisfactory results at the end of all this effort suggests that some practices should be revised. Although PNE is likely to have beneficial effects on shoulder pathomechanics, to our knowledge, there is no randomized controlled research in the relevant literature investigating the effects of PNE in patients with an RCT. The present study aims to examine the effectiveness of PNE on clinical outcomes in a sample of patients with RCT.
The aim of the study was to determine whether delayed-onset muscle soreness (DOMS) in trunk muscles has an effect on respiratory function parameters, respiratory muscle strength, respiratory muscle endurance, and exercise capacity.
The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy of peanut ball use on labor process and maternal, neonatal outcomes in obese pregnant women.
Lumbar vertebra surgery is one of the most common surgical procedures.Delirium is common in geriatric patients after lumbar spinae surgery.postoperative delirium usually occurs in the early postoperative period and delays patient mobilization and thus lengthens hospital stay. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of this field block on postoperative delirium in patients undergoing ESP with lomber vertebra surgery and with ultrasound guidance for postoperative analgesia.
Individuals with obesity are at higher risk for severe disease, hospitalizations, and death from the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Social distancing guidelines intended to prevent viral spread during the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in major changes to daily routines . Several studies have demonstrated that individuals with overweight/obesity reported worsening mental health, poor eating habits , less physical activity (PA) since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of these pandemic rules, the use of phone/video consultancy applications and online classes for body weight control and diet monitoring is increasing. Therefore, in this study it is aimed to determine the effect of diet counseling via phone or video on weight loss and to compare it with the traditional follow-up method in the COVID-19 pandemic.
