This study will evaluate the efficacy of two dosing regimens of adagrasib (600 mg BID versus 400 mg BID) in patients with NSCLC with KRAS G12C mutation.
Background: The vestibular rehabilitation is an exercise-based method, aiming to maximize central nervous system(CNS) compensation at vestibular nuclear and other CNS levels for vestibular pathology. A minimal number of studies have documented the impact of Vestibular rehabilitation on the recovery rate of patients with Bilateral Vestibular Hypofunction(BVH). Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of structured vestibular rehabilitation (VR) programs on severity of dizziness, kinesiophobia, balance, fatigue, quality of sleep, activities of daily living( ADL) and quality of life(QoL) in subjects with chronic BVH. Method: Twenty-five participants diagnosed with BVH were included in the study. A structured VR program was applied in 50-minute sessions once a week and as a home exercise program 3 days a week over 8 weeks. Participants were evaluated for severity of dizziness with the Visual Analog Scale (VAS), for kinesiophobia with the Tampa Scale of Kinesiophobia (TSK), for balance with the Semitandem, tandem, and standing tests, for quality of sleep with the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), for ADL with the Vestibular Disorders Activities of Daily Life (VADL), for QoL with Dizziness Handicap Inventory (DHI) and for fatigue with the Fatigue Severity Scale (FSS) at the baseline (T0), at 4th week (T1), 8th week (T2), and 20th week (T3) after study started.
The annual number of live births in Türkiye is 1,112,859 in 2020 and the estimated incidence of developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) is between 5 and 15 per 1000 live births. The implementation of the National DDH Early Diagnosis and Treatment Program by the Türkiye Republic of the Ministry of Health in 2010 significantly reduced the number of patients with DDH diagnosed more than 6 months later. If not appropriately treated, DDH can cause a decrease in the number of healthy life years, and workforce losses, which consequently burdens the social security system and government budget. The vast majority of clinical trials comprise risk factors associated with complications after treatment of DDH. Moreover, studies involving functional assessments are generally focused on adult DDH patients with surgical indications. To the best of the investigators' knowledge, mid-term patient-reported and performance-based functionality has not been examined in conservatively treated patients. In addition, it is not known whether the diagnosis of unilateral and bilateral DDH in these patients will make a difference in daily activities which require bilateral functionality of the lower limbs. Therefore, in this study, the investigators examined and compared the mid-term patient-reported and performance-based functional outcomes in patients with unilateral and bilateral DDH treated with a hip abduction brace. This study provides new data on mid-term functionality in children with unilateral and bilateral DDH. It can guide determining the lower extremity functional levels of school-age children with DDH, regular follow-up, early diagnosis, and treatment planning for problems.
Radical prostatectomy is performed with a median incision below the umbilicus. Although the position is supine, the waist extension movement is created in order to facilitate access to the surgical site. The investigator think that this may be a factor affecting the postoperative comfort, not only in the pain in the surgical field, but especially in patients with low back pain (facet joint pain, etc.). Techniques that provide quality postoperative recovery with reduced morbidity and rapid return to daily activities are important for anesthesiologists. In this study, the investigator aimed to evaluate the postoperative recovery quality (Quality of Recovery score (QoR-40)) of patients who underwent open radical prostatectomy and underwent erector spina plan block and wound infiltration for postoperative analgesia.
In our study, some inflammatory Interleukin-2 , Interleukin-6, Interferon-γ, Tumor Necrosis Factor-α and anti-inflammatory Interleukin-4 and Interleukin-10 cytokine genes expressions and Triggering Receptor Expressed On Myeloid Cells- 1, which contributes to the pathology of acute and chronic inflammatory diseases; Human Leukocyte Antigen-G5, which suppresses the immune response; the expression levels of transcription factor Forkhead box-P3 expressed in regulatory T-lymphocytes and Cluster of Differentiation (CD)14 genes, which are thought to be biomarkers in various infectious diseases and expressed in monocytes, will be measured from peripheral blood samples obtained from liver transplant patients before, 1 month and 6 months after the operation. In addition, the classical liver markers Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST), Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT), Platelet Count (PLT), Alpha Feto Protein (AFP), Direct Bilirubin (Bilirubin D), Total Bilirubin (Bilirubin T) and C- Levels of biochemical parameters such as Reactive Protein (CRP) will be measured. In the light of the data to be obtained, it is aimed to find biomarkers with high predictive value for rejection and infection after liver transplantation.

The leading goal of cancer treatment is to eradicate the cancer. If the primary goal is not achieved, it is aimed to prolong life, improve quality of life, or improve symptoms. Cancer treatments are divided into two basic groups as local and systemic. Systemic treatments include chemotherapy, hormone therapy, targeted molecular therapy, immunotherapy treatments. Local treatments are; ablative approaches that include surgery, cryotherapy, radiotherapy and radiofrequency. Radiotherapy (RT) is a treatment method in which ionizing beam is used. The aim of radiotherapy in cancer treatment is to destroy the tumor, if this is not possible, to provide palliative treatment. Radiotherapy uses ionizing radiation in the form of electromagnetic waves (x-rays, gamma rays) or particles for this purpose. Pecha Kucha (PK), meaning "chat voice" or "chat" in Japanese, refers to a well-crafted, fast and concise presentation format. In a PK presentation, each presenter is only allowed to show 20 PowerPoint slides for 20 seconds each on a timer. In other words, the presenter has only 20 seconds to discuss each slide before the next slide appears, and the presentation time is limited to 6 minutes and 40 seconds. Ideas are explained visually with pictures and graphics, and slides have little text.
Thoracotomy is one of the most painful surgeries; Video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) has been developed to reduce the surgical stress of thoracotomy. However, patients may experience moderate to severe pain within the first 24 hours after VATS. Intravenous opioids are frequently used to provide postoperative analgesia, and accordingly, side effects such as postoperative nausea/vomiting and respiratory depression can be seen. The aim of this study is to compare Superficial+Deep Vs. Deep Serratus Anterior Plan Block for postoperative pain control in VATS cases.
SUMMARY In a non-randomised (quasi-experimental) clinical study, it was aimed to determine the effect of the care package applied in the early postoperative period on operating theatre pressure sores, pain, fear of falling and comfort in patients undergoing orthopaedic surgery. In the study, the care bundle for pressure injuries was prepared in accordance with the clinical guidelines and was applied to the patients in the study group. This study was conducted in the orthopaedics and traumatology clinic of a public hospital in the Southeastern Anatolia Region of Turkey.
Introduction and Objective: In recent years, 3D (three-dimensional) modeling has been added to traditional and effective diagnostic methods such as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and Echocardiography. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of models created from patients' own radiological images using 3D printing technology in the clinical setting to simulate surgery in the preoperative period and provide preoperative parental education to improve family quality of life and positively influence patient outcomes. Methods: The study is a two-group pretest-posttest randomized controlled study. The children who come to the outpatient clinic examination in a private hospital and who are subjected to Computed Tomography (CT) examination for diagnostic procedures will be modeled in the experimental group, pre-tests will be applied, and the model will be 3D printed after it is approved by the radiologist who is among the researchers. The sample size is 15 experimental group and 15 control group. After the radiologist's approval, surgical simulation and preoperative education will be applied to the experimental group. The control group will receive the same parent education as the standard model. Both groups will complete the Sociodemographic Information Form, Surgical Simulation Evaluation Form - Part I, and Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory (PedsQL) Family Impacts Module one week prior to hospitalization. Surgical simulation and preoperative education will be completed on the same day. On postoperative day 0, only the Surgical Simulation Evaluation Form - Part II will be applied and on postoperative day 15, the Surgical Simulation Evaluation Form - Part II and the Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory (PedsQL) Family Impacts Module will be applied to both groups as a posttest. Pilot Study and Results: Modeling and 3D printing studies were conducted to carry out the study. A total of four diagnosed and treated patients were retrospectively analyzed. An intracardiac anomaly was detected in the patient data taken for the first model. It was decided to model the extracardiac structures since the inside of the heart was filled with blood, and the blood could not be ruled out as a solid structure. Finally, aortic coarctation was modeled clearly from the images taken and completed.
