There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The deterioration of glycemic control in adolescents with Type 1 diabetes (T1DM) is a genuine cause for concern. Possible reasons for worsening glycemic control in youth include lack of monitoring, inadequate self-care, psychosocial factors, lack of family support and parental supervision, non-adherence to treatment, pubertal increases in insulin resistance, and insufficient transition from pediatric to adult care. In adolescents with established T1DM who transition to adult-focused care, there is observed disengagement or complete detachment from care. Improving glycemic control during adolescence is a critical stage to enhance and reduce complications associated with T1DM. Adolescents with T1DM require appropriate daily insulin therapy, regular blood sugar monitoring, physical activity, healthy nutrition, education, and support to delay or prevent diabetes-related complications. This study aims to determine the impact of education and motivational interviews conducted through tele-nursing on the management of diabetes in adolescents with Type 1 diabetes.
Difficulty in feeding among late preterm infants is one of the most significant factors contributing to prolonged hospitalization and re-admissions. By providing support to the sucking and swallowing muscles early in their development, the maturation process can be expedited, allowing for the safe early discharge of preterm infants. This study aims to investigate the effects of the Kinesio taping technique on feeding muscles and assess feeding and swallowing function in late preterm infants using acoustic analysis of swallowing sounds.
The Phase 3 pivotal study is designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of RZ358 for the treatment of congenital hyperinsulinism (HI) as add-on to standard-of-care (SOC) therapy compared to SOC alone over 24 weeks and to evaluate the longer-term safety and efficacy of RZ358 during a subsequent open-label extension (OLE) period.
The purpose of this study is to compare the effectiveness of either talquetamab plus pomalidomide (Tal-P) or talquetamab plus teclistamab (Tal-Tec) with elotuzumab, pomalidomide, and dexamethasone (EPd) or pomalidomide, bortezomib, and dexamethasone (PVd).
Purpose of the research; To examine the effect of verbal feedback given by the educator on nursing students' clinical competence, academic self-efficacy and perceived stress levels. Hypotheses of the research; H1: Nursing students' academic self-efficacy level increases after the intervention. H2: Nursing students' clinical self-efficacy level increases after the intervention. H3: The level of stress perceived by nursing students decreases after the intervention.
This program for adults in need of psychological support in earthquake stricken area, Kahramanmaraş, consisted of a brief four-session group psychosocial support intervention. The goal of this observational study is to learn about in effects of trace element metabolism, tricarboxylic acid cycle enzyme activities and thiol/disulfide balance in patients who underwent cesarean section under spinal anesthesia. The main question[s] it aims to answer are: • What is the effect of trace element metabolism, tricarboxylic acid cycle enzyme activities and thiol/disulfide balance in patients undergoing cesarean section under regional anesthesia? A 10 ml blood sample will be taken from the participants to analyze the biochemical parameters mentioned before and after the operation. Pre- and post-operative values will be compared.
Various tools for measuring nursing workload have been described in the national and international literature. For this purpose, Cullen et al. The Therapeutic Intervention Scoring System (TISS)-28, created by Miranda et al. Nursing Activities Score (NAS) was created by revising by. NAS covers 80.8% of all nursing activities, surpassing the 43.3% coverage of TISS-28. Critical Nursing Situation Index (CNSI) has been validated and adapted in our country and has been found to be a valid and reliable scale for the Turkish society. The aim of this study is to adapt the Nursing Activities Score (NAS) to Turkish and determine its correlation with CNSI scores.
Nonspecific chronic neck pain (NCNP) is defined as non-specific neck pain lasting more than three months. It is a very common disease that causes a great obstacle in the daily life activities of individuals in the society. Many conservative treatment methods are used in the treatment of this disease. Among these treatment methods, Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) is the most widely used modality due to its low cost and many advantages. There are 4 types of TENS: Conventional, Low frequency (Acupuncture), Short intensity, Combined or Burst TENS. Conventional TENS is generally used in the treatment of chronic pain. Tele-rehabilitation is defined as the delivery of rehabilitation services via online telecommunication technologies. Tele-rehabilitation overcomes many problems such as long distance, traffic, transportation difficulties, high cost, high demand in the public health system, etc. and its popularity is increasing with the developments in technology and telecommunications. The risks and difficulties of accessing physical treatment during the COVID-19 pandemic have demonstrated the necessity of Tele-rehabilitation. Therefore, Tele-rehabilitation is widely used in physiotherapy as well as in many other fields. Although TENS application is widely used in the treatment of nonspecific chronic neck pain in physiotherapy clinics, there are few studies on Tele-rehabilitation, there are no studies comparing their effectiveness compared to each other in this field. In our research, it is planned to investigate and compare the effectiveness of TENS, which is an easily applied electrotherapy method, and Tele-Rehabilitation, an online rehabilitation tool. In this study, the staff of Nezahat Keleşoğlu Faculty of Health Sciences and Seydişehir Vocational School of Health Services and patients with neck pain who come to the physiotherapy unit of Meram Medical Faculty Hospital will be included in the study. As a result of the power analysis, (48) patients are planned to be included. Patients will be divided into three as Tele-rehabilitation group and TENS group and Control group. Patients will be evaluated before and after treatment and training.
Our study was planned as a prospective controlled randomized study. The study was started after the ethics committee approval received from Dışkapı Yıldırım Beyazıt Training and Research Hospital. (23.08.2021 118/01). Two groups of patients were planned in parallel. In the treatment of pilonidal sinus disease, in patients operated on with the fistulotomy and curettage technique, one group was followed up with classical dressing, while the other group was followed up with PRP (platelet-rich-plasma) and classical dressing. Wound infection, hematoma, length of hospital stay, recurrence, pain in the first postoperative week, and time to complete epithelialization of the wound (in days) were evaluated between the two groups.
