There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Pectus deformities are common anterior chest wall pathologies. Pectus excavatum is the most common chest deformity with an incidence of 0.1-0.3%. Although the incidence of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) is 0.2-3% in the community, some studies show that this rate rises to 17.61-25.58% when it is associated with pectus deformity. While the pectus excavatum rotates the heart to the left with its ribs and cartilages, it pushes the thoracic vertebra to the right side with the internal counterforce created by the heart, which has been shown to push the spine to the right with an asymmetric horizontal force in scoliosis patients with pectus deformity. Based on this, in study, investigators aimed to determine whether there is any relationship between pectus deformities and spinal pathologies, and if there is a relationship, with which pathology it is most common, whether the type of scoliosis seen in pectus deformities with a prominent scoliosis prevalence is a pectus-specific curve, and whether this curve seen in scoliosis is associated with pectus. To determine whether there is a footprint or not.

It is aimed to evaluate pain intensity, disability level, mini mental status, coordination, balance and functional status of the patients. The study will be conducted with volunteer patients who are followed up by the Orthopedics and Traumatology outpatient clinic of Muğla Training and Research Hospital and who have undergone total hip arthroplasty surgery. The evaluations will be performed in the Orthopedics and Traumatology outpatient clinic of Muğla Training and Research Hospital. It is aimed to evaluate at least 24 patients for the study.
In our study, we aimed to compare the effects of both Graston technique and static stretching on ankle range of motion and vertical jump performance in the light of the literature. Our study will guide clinicians about the uncertainty in the application of Graston technique and static stretching to the gastrocnemius, soleus muscles and Achilles tendon and examine the applicability of Graston in athletes. It is also aimed to investigate the relationship between ankle range of motion and vertical jump performance.
This study was planned to investigate the effectiveness of usual care and dual task program in patients who underwent total knee arthroplasty surgery. It is aimed to evaluate pain intensity, disability level, mini mental status, coordination, reaction time and functional status of the patients. The study will be conducted with volunteer patients who are followed up by the Orthopedics and Traumatology outpatient clinic of Bursa Cekirge State Hospital and who have undergone total knee arthroplasty surgery. It is aimed to evaluate at least 26 patients for the study. The first evaluation will be performed 6 weeks post-operatively and the second evaluation will be performed 2 months after the treatment.
Acute external thrombosed hemorrhoidal disease (AETHH) is one of the emergent complications of hemorrhoidal disease that results in pain and loss of work force. Although surgical excision is recommended in the treatment of AETHH in the guidelines of the American Society of Colorectal Surgeons (ASCRS) and the European Society of Coloproctology (ESCP), the level of evidence is low and it is emphasized that additional studies are needed. Therefore, the investigators aimed to compare the efficacy of surgical excision with medical treatment in the treatment of AETHH.
Breastfeeding education based on the theory of psychosexual development is important as it addresses the social and psychological significance of childhood and the impact of early childhood experiences on later social anxieties and psychosexual well-being. However, no theory-based breastfeeding education given to the mothers was found in the literature. Therefore, the study aimed to investigate the effect of breastfeeding education on infant feeding attitudes and knowledge of primiparous mothers, in line with the theory of psychosocial development.
After the rapid increase in the use of the Internet in the world, it has brought some negativities.People with internet addiction describe all the time they spend without internet as worthless and they want to be on the internet with an increasing desire.
Today, many complementary therapies such as acupuncture, reflexology, homeopathy, hypnotherapy, music and aromatherapy are tried in addition to medical methods to reduce pain and anxiety. Aromatherapy is a therapy method in which essential oils are used to protect and improve physical and psychological health. Oils can be applied directly to a single person or indirectly to people in a room by inhalation . In direct application without steam, essential oils can be applied by inhalation by dripping onto a cotton ball . It is stated that lavender aromatherapy, one of the most commonly used aromatherapies, has analgesic, antiseptic, sedative, antispasmodic and healing properties Ylang Ylang aromatherapy is stated analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antiemetic,anti-tarral, carminative, sedative, antiseptic, spasmolytic properties. In the studies conducted, anxiety, labor pain, labor duration, and psychological effects of aromatherapy were examined, but no study was found in which lavender and chamomile essential oils were used and the effects of pain and comfort level were examined. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of lavender and Ylang Ylang essential oils in relieving pain and increasing comfort after cesarean section.
COVID-19 infection was identified in Wuhan, China at the end of 2019 and turned into a pandemic in a short time. In our country, the pandemic continues at full speed and patients are being treated in various clinical pictures. In its clinical classification, the World Health Organization (WHO) divides COVID-19 disease into four stages: mild symptomatic disease, pneumonia, severe pneumonia, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), sepsis and advanced stage with septic shock. Case reports and cross-sectional studies report a list of more than 200 different symptoms in the development of post COVID-19 syndrome. Shortness of breath, persistent smell and taste disturbances, fatigue and neuropsychological symptoms (headache, memory loss, slowed thinking, anxiety, depression and sleep disturbances) are the most commonly reported symptoms. Musculoskeletal symptoms such as pain (myalgia), muscle weakness, arthralgia and fatigue are also common. Exercise endurance tests are used to predict the prognosis of the disease in chronic lung diseases, to determine functional exercise capacity, to evaluate the response of the disease to treatment and to interpret the results of clinical trials. Covid-19-induced lung infections and long periods of isolation may have negative effects on respiratory muscle strength, pulmonary function values and physical activity level. It has been reported that only one week of bed rest can cause serious muscle loss of up to 20%. Covid-19 infection increases the likelihood of asthma-like symptoms. In some cases, pneumonia and increased dyspnea are also seen. When volleyball players with Covid-19 infection were examined, respiratory muscle strength and fev1/fvc values were lower than expected. When looking at the interaction between infections and sleep, it was observed that different infections had different effects on sleep, with some infections increasing the amount of sleep while others decreased it. The increase in inflammatory mediators associated with systemic infection is thought to increase the amount of REM sleep and total sleep duration, perhaps in an effort to conserve energy and counteract infection. Some infections have a negative effect on the immune system, reducing the amount of sleep. Covid infection is also thought to have negative effects on sleep. The symptoms of COVID-19 in the chronic phase can further negatively affect physiological, psychological and social outcomes, physical activity and ultimately muscle performance and quality. Post-infection physical function and fitness can worsen even two years after the disease. In COVID-19 patients recovering 3 months after hospital discharge, limitations were mainly related to reduced muscle mass, low oxidative capacity or both, rather than cardiac or respiratory exercise limitation. Symptoms experienced during Covid-19 infection are thought to have negative effects on exercise endurance. In order to meet the metabolic needs of the musculoskeletal system muscles during exercise, cardiac output, ventilation, pulmonary and systemic blood flow, oxygen and carbon dioxide exchange in a way to maintain acid-base balance and oxygenation, and their compatible response to each other are required. Exercise endurance assessments are an important parameter to determine the functional level of the patient. Eighty-eight percent of individuals with Covid-19 infection showed a decrease in respiratory muscle strength in the evaluation performed 5 months later. The direct effect of respiratory muscles may cause permanent dyspnea problems. Muscle strength, exercise capacity, dyspnea perception, fatigue severity perception, pain, balance, kinesiophobia, psychosocial and cognitive status, quality of life should be routinely evaluated in the post-COVID-19 period in patients admitted to the clinic, and a targeted functional rehabilitation program should be prepared in the light of these evaluations, taking these parameters into consideration during the rehabilitation process.
This clinical study will be conducted to determine the effects of musically accompanied progressive muscle relaxation and deep breathing exercises on nursing students' stress levels and bio-psycho-social responses to stress. Do musical progressive muscle relaxation and deep breathing exercises have an impact on nursing students' stress levels and bio-psycho-social responses to stress? After students fill in the scales, they will be randomly assigned to the experimental and control groups. The experimental group will be given progressive muscle relaxation and deep breathing exercises accompanied by music once a week for six weeks by the researcher. There will be no intervention in the control group. The scales will be reapplied to the experimental and control groups in the week after the application is completed and two weeks after the application is completed. Groups will be compared and statistical analyzes will be made.
