There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The goal of this study is to determine the effects of psychosocial nursing interventions applied to a patient with cardiac surgery on sleep quality, anxiety and delirium. Are psychosocial nursing interventions applied to a patient with cardiac surgery effective in preventing delirium? Are psychosocial nursing interventions applied to a patient with cardiac surgery effective on sleep quality? Are psychosocial nursing interventions applied to a patient with cardiac surgery effective on the level of anxiety?
In this study, our is to compare effect of lumbosacral plexus and sacral plexus + suprainguinal fascia iliaca plane block on perioperative pain via analgesia nociceptive index monitor on high-risk patients undergoing hip fracture surgery.
Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is a chronic, multisystemic, progressive autoimmune disease characterized by joint destruction in synovial tissue, causing joint swelling, pain and morning stiffness. It is estimated to affect 0.1%-2% of the world's adult population and more women than men. RA limits individuals' work, social, and home lives and functional capacities. Patients commonly experience pain and accompanying sleep problems. Interventions for these problems and symptom management are important. In this regard, this study was planned to examine the effect of distant reiki application on pain, functional status and sleep quality in rheumatoid arthritis patients.
The goal of this clinical trial is to test the analgesic efficacy of rhomboid intercostal nerve block (RINB) in patients undergoing minimal invasive heart surgery (MIHS). The main questions it aims to answer are: - How will the total perioperative opioid consumption of the patients receiving RINB change? - How will RINB effect the patients' numeric rating scores for pain in the postoperative 24-hour period? - How will RINB effect the postoperative extubation times? - How will RINB effect the length of intensive care unit (ICU) stays on the postoperative period? - How will RINB effect the incidence of opioid related side effects? Participants will be divided in two groups: - Block group will receive a RINB before the surgery. - Control group will not receive any nerve block. Researchers will compare the results between the groups to see the postoperative effects concerning opioid consumption as well as the pain scores, respiratory parameters and ICU length of stay of the patients receiving RINB for minimal invasive heart surgery. The hypothesis of this study is that participants receiving RINB for MIHS will have a less total opioid consumption 24 hours postoperatively.
The aim of this project was to determine the effect of showing informative animations to children on anxiety and fear during inhalation therapy. This project is a randomized controlled trial. The population of the study will consist of children aged 7-12 years who apply to the Pediatric Emergency Department of Atatürk University Research Hospital between July 2022 and July 2023. The sample of the study will consist of children and their parents who present to the clinic on the dates determined, who are willing to participate in the study, and meet the inclusion criteria. Probability sampling will be used to select the sample. ''Introductory Information Form'', ''Child Fear Scale'', ''Facial Expression Rating Scale'' and ''Informative Animation'' will be used for data collection.
This is a single center prospective study comparing the extension pin block vs pin orthosis-extension block pinning for bonny mallet fractures.
The primary purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of perioperative dostarlimab compared with standard of care (SOC) in participants with untreated T4N0 or Stage III (resectable), defective mismatch repair/ microsatellite instability high (dMMR/MSI-H) colon cancer.
The aim of this randomized controlled clinical study was a study that could facilitate the management of immunosuppressive therapy, including information specific to liver transplant patients, to increase immunosuppressive medication adherence and quality of life, and reduce anxiety in the early period in patients who have to use lifelong immunosuppressive medication to prevent organ rejection after liver transplantation. The aim of this study is to develop a smartphone application and evaluate the effectiveness of the application. Research Question: What is the effect of smartphone application use on immunosuppressive medication adherence, anxiety and quality of life in patients undergoing liver transplant? Research Hypotheses H11: There is a difference between medication adherence in patients who use and do not use smartphone applications after liver transplantation at the 3rd month after discharge. H21: There is a difference between the anxiety levels of the patients who used and did not use smart phone applications after liver transplantation in the first month after discharge. H31: There is a difference between the anxiety levels of the patients using and not using smart phone applications after liver transplantation at the 3rd month after discharge. H41: There is a difference between the quality of life of patients using and not using a smart phone application after liver transplantation, at the first month after discharge. H51: There is a difference between the quality of life of patients who use and do not use smart phone applications after liver transplantation at the 3rd month after discharge. H61: There is a difference between immunosuppressive blood drug levels in the 1st month after discharge in patients who use and do not use smart phone applications after liver transplantation. H71: There is a difference between the immunosuppressive blood drug levels in the 3rd month after the discharge of the patients who used and did not use the smart phone application after liver transplantation. H81: There is a difference between the rejection rates of patients who use and do not use smartphone applications after liver transplantation, within the 3 months after hospital discharge. H91: There is a difference between the rates of readmission within the 3 months after hospital discharge in patients who use and do not use smart phone applications after liver transplantation. Researchers will compare the experimental and control groups to see if there is a difference between patients' adherence to medication, quality of life, and anxiety levels. The experimental group is going to use the smartphone application developed specifically for patients with liver transplantation for 3 months.
This study will evaluate the efficacy of two dosing regimens of adagrasib (600 mg BID versus 400 mg BID) in patients with NSCLC with KRAS G12C mutation.
The leading goal of cancer treatment is to eradicate the cancer. If the primary goal is not achieved, it is aimed to prolong life, improve quality of life, or improve symptoms. Cancer treatments are divided into two basic groups as local and systemic. Systemic treatments include chemotherapy, hormone therapy, targeted molecular therapy, immunotherapy treatments. Local treatments are; ablative approaches that include surgery, cryotherapy, radiotherapy and radiofrequency. Radiotherapy (RT) is a treatment method in which ionizing beam is used. The aim of radiotherapy in cancer treatment is to destroy the tumor, if this is not possible, to provide palliative treatment. Radiotherapy uses ionizing radiation in the form of electromagnetic waves (x-rays, gamma rays) or particles for this purpose. Pecha Kucha (PK), meaning "chat voice" or "chat" in Japanese, refers to a well-crafted, fast and concise presentation format. In a PK presentation, each presenter is only allowed to show 20 PowerPoint slides for 20 seconds each on a timer. In other words, the presenter has only 20 seconds to discuss each slide before the next slide appears, and the presentation time is limited to 6 minutes and 40 seconds. Ideas are explained visually with pictures and graphics, and slides have little text.
