They explained the improvement of pain in patients with EMDR treatment in chronic pain with Shapiro's adaptive information processing model. According to this model; The nociceptive sense is related to the emotional response. During the traumatic event, the painful stimulus is stored both physically and as an image, thought, and affect. Therefore, traumatic memories contain affective elements as well as conscious awareness and contribute significantly to stress along with chronic pain. Reprocessing these dysfunctionally stored memories will allow the problematic memories to integrate, resulting in both symptom relief and increased personal efficacy. According to the explanations made with the adaptive information processing model, the perception of the traumatic event is reprocessed with bidirectional stimulation given its somatic and affective components, and the cortical integration of the memory is provided. Changing the emotional dimension of pain may lead to changes in pain pathways, altering the memory and reproduction of pain in the nervous system. When desensitization is achieved against negative emotions; It has been hypothesized that once the patient has a more normal response to pain or stress, it will not revert to a limbic magnified response of pain unless a new trauma has been experienced. Painful conditions can continue to bother even after the illness or injury has been successfully treated. This may be the result of improperly stored memories and chronic active pain. In addition to medication, physical therapy, patient education and psychological support are very important in relieving rheumatological pain.
The goal of this observational study is to demonstrate the presence of neurotrophic factors in the breast milk of mothers with 18-month-old children and the persistence of these factors in breast milk after the age of 2 years. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Does the breast milk of mothers with 18-month-old babies contain Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF), S100B protein and glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF)? - Does the breast milk continue to contain BDNF, s100B protein and GDNF and-after 24 months? Participants will be asked to give breastmilk at 3 separate times. Breast milk samples will be collected from mothers at 18th-month, 24th-month and ≥25 months of their babies. A total of 75 breast milk samples obtained from 25 mothers with their consent will be analyzed.

For this reason, the individual management of the diabetic patient is important in terms of ensuring effective participation and compliance in treatment and care. Patients must have knowledge, skills and positive attitudes in order to successfully comply with diabetes treatment. Patients are in compliance with diabetes treatment; they encounter some barriers such as medication barriers, barriers to self-monitoring, knowledge and belief barriers, barriers to diagnosis, barriers in relations with health professionals, barriers to lifestyle change, barriers to coping with diabetes, and barriers to getting advice and support. The American Diabetes Association (ADA) states that self-monitoring of blood sugar is important in ensuring glycemic control and preventing hyperglycemia and asymptomatic hypoglycemia. Reiki is applied as an alternative and complementary treatment method. Reiki application, when used together with pharmacological methods, chronic fatigue, diabetic neuropathy, pain caused by surgery, cancer treatment, symptoms of cardiovascular diseases, emotional disorders such as anxiety, depression, acute or chronic pain, infertility-related problems, neurodegenerative disorders, AIDS, autism and developmental disorders, Crohn's disease, irritable bowel syndrome, traumatic brain injury and has been shown to improve health problems such as fatigue. In the literature, the effects of reiki have been examined in patient groups with different chronic diseases, but no study has been found on obese individuals with Type 2 diabetes. Therefore, reikinin in obese individuals with Type 2 diabetes; This study is planned to determine whether it has an effect on compliance with diabetes treatment, eating behaviors, anxiety levels and changes in metabolic values.
Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS); is a complex syndrome characterized by many symptoms such as chronic widespread pain, fatigue and sleep disorders, cognitive dysfunctions and psychiatric disorders. It has been stated that there is an urgent need for studies examining the clinicimetric and psychometric properties of the pain phenotype criteria in terms of patients receiving the most appropriate treatment, clinicians deciding on the appropriate treatment, and contributing to the research of scientists. Despite all this, no study has yet been found that describes the pain phenotypes in fibromyalgia syndrome and how different types of pain affect patients. The primary aim of this study is to determine the chronic pain phenotypes in individuals with FMS. The secondary aim of this study to determine the inter-rater and intra-rater reliability of the algorithm used in the determination of pain phenotypes and to assessment the clinical effects of different pain phenotypes on individuals with FMS in terms of pain severity, disease severity, quality of life and catastrophe.

Although chemotherapy has an important place in the treatment of colorectal cancers, it can cause side effects such as diarrhea and fatigue in patients. Cancer patients' ability to cope with treatment side effects can be benefited from technological developments. Studies have shown that mobile health applications reduce symptom experience and increase quality of life in patients with breast cancer and leukemia.

Low back pain (LBP) is a prevalent issue among adolescent rowers, particularly males aged 14 to 16 years, with a high lifetime prevalence (94%) and point prevalence (65%). One of the mechanisms of lower back pain in rowing athletes is about the elasticity, stiffness and tone of the hamstring muscle. Current literature shows that stretching exercises, strengthening exercises and kinesiotaping affects hamstring viscoelasticity in various ways. Stretching exercises affect hamstring muscle tone and elasticity, strengthening exercises affect muscle stiffness and kinesiotaping affects muscle tone. While the effects of each of these interventions on viscoelastic properties individually are examined in the literature, studies comparing the effects of changes in viscoelastic properties caused by these interventions on low back pain, athletic disability index and athletic performance in rowers and their superiority among each other are lacking. The goal of this study is to change the viscoelasticity of the hamstring muscles and examine its effect on low back pain, disability index and athletic performance.
Metabolic syndrome (MetS) or syndrome X, which is increasingly prevalent in the world and in our country, is a disease that includes abdominal obesity, dyslipidemia, impaired glycemic control and hypertension components. It causes cardiovascular events such as myocardial hypertrophy, left ventricular diastolic dysfunction, atrial dilatation and atrial fibrillation. Low levels of physical activity can be caused by a wide variety of factors including environmental and genetic factors, age, race, sarcopenia, poor eating habits, postmenopausal period and smoking history. Factors such as genetic differences, diet, physical activity, age, gender and eating habits are reported to affect the prevalence of (MetS) and its components. Frailty is also emerging as a major issue for the elderly due to its debilitating effects on health outcomes. Frailty is a geriatric syndrome characterized by a gradual decrease in homeostatic tolerance and physiological reserve following exposure to stressors. Frailty predisposes older people to falls, delirium, hospitalizations and even death and is therefore considered a crucial transition between healthy ageing and disability. As a result of aging, degenerative changes in the central and peripheral vestibular system have been found. With age, the ability to regulate movement is impaired as a result of insufficient information in any of the sensory receptors or any disorder affecting the processing of these messages. This directly affects balance and postural control, leading to an increased risk of falls. In the light of the results of the studies in the literature, degenerative changes are observed in many systems in geriatric individuals and while the incidence of metabolic syndrome in these individuals is high, the number of studies evaluating their effects is not sufficient. Based on these deficiencies, it is aimed to examine metabolic syndrome, frailty, locomotive syndrome, balance and physical fitness in elderly individuals.
