NCT ID: NCT04729907 Enrolling by invitation - Clinical trials for Muscular Atrophy, Spinal

Extension Study of Nusinersen (BIIB058) in Participants With Spinal Muscular Atrophy Who Previously Participated in a Study With Nusinersen

ONWARD
Start date: April 19, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the long-term safety and tolerability of nusinersen administered intrathecally at higher doses to participants with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) who previously participated in study 232SM203 (NCT04089566). The secondary objective of this study is to evaluate the long-term efficacy of nusinersen administered intrathecally at higher doses to participants with SMA who previously participated in study 232SM203 (NCT04089566).

NCT ID: NCT04469647 Enrolling by invitation - COVID 19 Clinical Trials

COVID 19 Seroprevalence Amongst Healthcare Workers in JHAH

Start date: July 19, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Healthcare workers play a critical role in fighting the pandemic, not only by managing the patients' health clinically, but also by implementing adequate measures for infection prevention and control in healthcare facilities. This puts healthcare workers at a greater risk of acquiring the disease. COVID-19 is caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus -2 (SARS-CoV-2) and many people can be infected with it asymptomatically and undetectably. Serology is an antibody test that provides additional information to polymerase chain-reaction (PCR) testing as it is the only way to reliably establish the fraction of the population that was infected . Seroconversion is the development of antibodies in the blood which can confirm suspected cases after the fact and reveal who was infected but asymptomatic and never realized it. Antibodies are specific proteins created as the body's response to the infection and this test is essential for detecting infected individuals with few or no symptoms at all.

NCT ID: NCT03089021 Enrolling by invitation - Clinical trials for Nonspecific Neck Pain

Maitland Mobilization Versus Mulligan Mobilization in Sub-Acute and Chronic Non-Specific Neck Pain

Start date: December 20, 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study investigate the short term effect of Maitland in comparison to Mulligan mobilization with sub-acute and chronic non specific neck pain to improve neck pain, pain pressure threshold, rang of motion, joint position sense, disability, and to evaluate the interaction with psychological factors. Study design: experimental study

NCT ID: NCT03038139 Enrolling by invitation - Clinical trials for Forward Head Posture

Postural Correction Exercises for Forward Head Posture

Start date: November 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to investigate the changes of spinal muscle activation in cervical, thoracic and lumbar segments for subjects with forward head posture (FHP) after application of two correction programs; a conventional one including cervical and thoracic spine, and a second program involving lumbosacral segment.

NCT ID: NCT02618863 Enrolling by invitation - ASPIRATION Clinical Trials

The Cricoid Force Necessary to Occlude the Esophageal Entrance: Is There a Gender Difference?

Start date: December 2015
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

the investigators have observed that women may require less CF than men to occlude the esophageal entrance, and that the routine use of 30 N in women may actually increase the incidence of airway-related problems. The objective of the current investigation was to test this hypothesis. In this study, real-time visual and dynamic means were used to assess the effectiveness of different forces applied to the cricoid cartilage in occluding the esophageal entrance in men and women. The patency of the esophageal entrance was directly visualized using the Glidescope Video Laryngoscope in anesthetized and paralyzed patients with and without CP. Evidence of closure of the esophageal lumen was confirmed by the inability to introduce a gastric tube (GT) into the esophagus under direct vision. New method , using Cricometer , was used to measure the applied force .

NCT ID: NCT02306720 Enrolling by invitation - Clinical trials for Hypophosphatasia (HPP)

Registry of Patients With Hypophosphatasia

Start date: December 31, 2014
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

In this prospective, observational, long term registry patients of all ages with a diagnosis of hypophosphatasia (HPP) are followed at participating sites in multiple countries.
