NCT ID: NCT01473589 Completed - Femur Neck Fracture Clinical Trials

Effect of Teriparatide on Hip Fracture Healing

Start date: February 2012
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to see whether teriparatide, given for 6 months versus placebo, will improve the healing of hip (femoral neck) fractures that are repaired during surgery using certain types of orthopedic screws. The study will enroll men and postmenopausal women at least 50 years of age with a recent hip (femoral neck) fracture caused by low-trauma (for example, fall from standing height or less).

NCT ID: NCT01473407 Completed - Clinical trials for Chronic Kidney Disease

A Phase 3 Study Comparing the Effects of Intravenous Epoetin Hospira and Epoetin Alfa [Epogen] (Amgen) in Patients With Chronic Renal Failure Requiring Hemodialysis and Receiving Epoetin Maintenance Treatment. AiME - Anemia Management With Epoetin

AiME - 01
Start date: January 31, 2012
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to demonstrate therapeutic equivalence of IV Epoetin Hospira compared to IV Epogen (Amgen), based on maintenance of Hb levels and study drug dose requirements in patients treated for anemia associated with chronic renal failure and on hemodialysis.

NCT ID: NCT01473056 Completed - Clinical trials for Hepatitis C Virus Infection, Response to Therapy of

Study to Assess Safety,Tolerability,Pharmacokinetics & Antiviral Activity of JTK-853 in Hepatitis C Virus Genotype 1 Infected Subjects

Start date: August 2010
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study was to determine the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics and anti-viral activity of JTK-853 in hepatitis C virus genotype 1 infected subjects based on reduction in viral load (HCV RNA level) from baseline to end of treatment, followed by genotypic resistance monitoring for up to one year after study drug treatment.

NCT ID: NCT01471574 Completed - Clinical trials for Hepatitis C, Genotype 1

Safety and Efficacy Study of Daclatasvir (BMS-790052) Plus Pegylated Interferon-Alfa 2a and Ribavirin in Patients Coinfected With Untreated Hepatitis C Virus and HIV Virus

Start date: December 2011
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this open label study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of daclatasvir plus pegylated interferon-alfa 2a and ribavirin in untreated hepatitis C virus in patients coinfected with HIV

NCT ID: NCT01468987 Completed - Clinical trials for Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2

A Study in Participants With Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

IMAGINE 4
Start date: December 2011
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is: - To compare blood glucose (blood sugar) control on LY2605541 with insulin glargine after 26 weeks of treatment. - To compare the rate of night time hypoglycemia (low blood glucose) on LY2605541 with insulin glargine during 26 weeks of treatment. - To compare the number of participants on LY2605541 reaching blood glucose targets without hypoglycemia episodes at night to those taking insulin glargine after 26 weeks of treatment. - To compare the rate of hypoglycemia over a 24-hour period on LY2605541 with insulin glargine during 26 weeks of treatment.

NCT ID: NCT01466790 Completed - Hepatitis C Clinical Trials

A Study of TMC435 in Combination With PSI-7977 (GS7977) in Chronic Hepatitis C Genotype 1-Infected Prior Null Responders To Peginterferon/Ribavirin Therapy or HCV Treatment-Naive Patients

COSMOS
Start date: January 2012
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to investigate the efficacy and safety of TMC435 plus PSI-7977 (GS7977) with or without ribavirin in patients who are chronically infected with genotype 1 hepatitis C virus (HCV) and who did not respond to prior peginterferon/ribavirin therapy or are HCV treatment-naive (patients who never received treatment for HCV infection).

NCT ID: NCT01466595 Completed - HIV-1 Infection Clinical Trials

Rifaximin as a Modulator of Microbial Translocation and Immune Activation

Start date: September 2011
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study is being done to see whether rifaximin, an antibiotic that works in the intestines, can lower the amount of germs in the intestines of HIV infected persons. It is possible that when the amount of these germs is lowered, an HIV-infected person's immune system will become less active and will have a better chance of recovering. Also, the study will evaluate the safety of using rifaximin in HIV-infected subjects.
