The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and efficacy of pembrolizumab (MK-3475) combined with lenvatinib (MK-7902/E7080) compared to pembrolizumab alone (with placebo for lenvatinib) as first-line treatment in adults with no prior systemic therapy for their advanced melanoma. The primary study hypotheses are that: 1) The combination of pembrolizumab and lenvatinib is superior to pembrolizumab and placebo as assessed by Progression-free Survival (PFS) per Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors version 1.1 (RECIST 1.1), and 2) The combination of pembrolizumab and lenvatinib is superior to pembrolizumab and placebo as assessed by Overall Survival (OS). For this study, RECIST 1.1 has been modified to follow a maximum of 10 target lesions and a maximum of 5 target lesions per organ.
This study is designed to determine the efficacy and safety of durvalumab and/or novel oncology therapies, with or without chemotherapy, for first-line Stage IV Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)
The researchers are doing this study to see if semaglutide can slow down the growth and worsening of chronic kidney disease in people with type 2 diabetes. Participants will get semaglutide (active medicine) or placebo ('dummy medicine'). This is known as participants' study medicine - which treatment participants get is decided by chance. Semaglutide is a medicine, doctors can prescribe in some countries for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. Participants will get the study medicine in a pen. Participants will use the pen to inject the medicine in a skin fold once a week. The study will close when there is enough information collected to show clear result of the study. The total time participants will be in this study is about 3 to 5 years, but it could be longer.
After a screening, which consists of pathology confirmation, physical examination, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), body computed tomography (CT) scan, blood tests, and case analysis on Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meeting, patient will be irradiated 5x5 Gy and after radiotherapy and then referred for surgery 6-8 weeks after the radiotherapy completion.

The main purpose of this study is to monitor the safety and tolerability of avelumab in participants with solid tumors who continue treatment with avelumab under the same treatment regimen as in the parent avelumab study.
This study will look at the long-term effects of semaglutide (active medicine) on diabetic eye disease when compared to placebo (dummy medicine). The study will be performed in people with type 2 diabetes. Participants will either get semaglutide or placebo in addition to their diabetes medicines - which treatment the participant gets is decided by chance. Participants will inject the study medicine using a pen-injector. The medicine must be injected in a skin fold in the stomach, thigh or upper arm once a week. The study will last for 5 years.
The study compares 2 medicines for children who do not have enough hormone to grow: somapacitan given once a week (a new medicine) and Norditropin® given once a day (the medicine doctors can already prescribe). Researchers will test to see how well somapacitan works. The study will also test if somapacitan is safe. Participants will either get somapacitan or Norditropin® - which treatment participants get, is decided by chance. Both participants and the study doctor will know which treatment participants get. The study will last for 4 years. Participants will attend 19 clinic visits and have 1 phone call with the study doctor.
The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of acute sodium bicarbonate (SB) and placebo (PLA) supplementation on buffering potential kinetics, physical capacity, discipline-specific performance as well as concentration of diagnostically significant blood biochemical indices in athletes, in a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled crossover trial.
This is a Phase III, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multi-center international study assessing the activity of durvalumab and chemotherapy administered prior to surgery compared with placebo and chemotherapy administered prior to surgery in terms of pathological complete response.
