The aim of this observational study is to analyze how impaired proprioception affects the gait, reaction time, balance and functioning of stroke patients. Research questions: - Are there correlations between the deficit of proprioception and reaction time and the parameters of gait and balance as well as the functional state of stroke patients? - Are there relationships between factors such as proprioception, reaction time, balance, functional status and gait, and time since stroke, the hemisphere where the stroke occurred, and gender? - Are there differences in proprioception deficits and reaction times between the lower limbs in stroke survivors? Participants will be assessed once using standard functional clinical tests and the rehabilitation devices. Researchers will compare stroke patients and healthy volunteers to see, if there are differences in proprioception deficits, reaction time and balance.
The primary objective of this study is to assess the efficacy of ALXN2220 in the treatment of adult participants with ATTR-CM by evaluating the difference between the ALXN2220 and placebo groups as assessed by the composite endpoint of all-cause mortality (ACM) and total cardiovascular (CV) clinical events.
Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most common form of dementia. In the brains of people with AD, certain small substances stick together. This leads to changes in thinking and behaviour. The company PRInnovation is developing a new treatment for Alzheimer's disease, called PRI-002. It is thought that PRI-002 can cut the sticked substances back into small pieces. That would reduce the effects of Alzheimer's disease. In the current study the investigators examine whether PRI-002 is safe and effective in participants with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) or mild dementia due to AD.
The purpose of this study is to understand the effects of long-term treatment with inebilizumab on circulating levels of immunoglobulins, B-cell counts, and other safety measures, and to further monitor repletion of immunoglobins and B-cell counts in participants with NMOSD who discontinue treatment. The objectives include: 1. To establish the nadir in circulating immunoglobulins (Ig) during chronic treatment with inebilizumab and ascertain the time needed to ensure restoration of pre-treatment baseline serum levels of IgG and IgM after discontinuation of treatment 2. To characterize B-cell counts throughout treatment with inebilizumab and after discontinuation until repletion of Immunoglobulin (Ig levels) 3. To assess long-term safety of inebilizumab 4. To assess other long-term effects of inebilizumab
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity of V116 compared to PPSV23 in children 2 through 17 years of age. Researchers want to learn if V116 is as good as, or is better than the PPSV23 vaccine in terms of the antibody immune response. V116 and PPSV23 will be studied in children and teenagers who have a higher risk of getting invasive pneumococcal disease (IPD).
The aim of this study is to analyze the prevalence, effect on quality of life, and treatment-related behaviors for renal colic and urolithiasis in a population-representative sample of Poles. We will be using an Internet interview format for renal colic and urolithiasis evaluation. The study will include respondents representative for age and place of residence with adequate proportions of respondents from urban and rural areas.
This is a Phase III, multicenter, randomized, double-masked, active comparator-controlled study evaluating the efficacy and safety of faricimab in patients with myopic choroidal neovascularization (CNV). This non-inferiority study will compare 6.0 mg faricimab versus 0.5 mg ranibizumab administered at a pro-re-nata (PRN) dosing regimen after an initial active IVT treatment administration at randomization (Day 1).

This is a Phase III, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel group study to evaluate the safety, tolerability and the effect of 2 mg Baxdrostat vs. placebo, administered QD orally, on the reduction of SBP, measured by average 24-hour ABPM in 212 participants with rHTN (defined as seated SBP ≥ 140 mmHg at Screening and mean ambulatory SBP ≥ 130 mmHg at baseline, despite a stable regimen of ≥ 3 antihypertensive agents, one of which is a diuretic).
In some people, the liver makes an abnormal version of the alpha-1 antitrypsin (AAT) protein, called Z-AAT. Making an abnormal version of the AAT protein can result in liver disease as Z-AAT builds up in liver cells, which leads to liver problems such as liver scarring (fibrosis), continuing liver damage (cirrhosis), and eventually endstage liver disease. Fazirsiran is a medicine that reduces the creation of the Z-AAT protein and thus the build-up of this abnormal protein in the liver. People with this type of liver disease who already have mild liver scarring will take part in the study. They will be treated with fazirsiran or a placebo for about 2 years. This study will check the long-term safety of fazirsiran and if participants tolerate the treatment. A liver biopsy, a way of collecting a small tissue sample from the liver, will be taken twice during the study.
