NCT ID: NCT05749315 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Speech, Language Developmental Delay From Hearing Loss

Comparative Effects of Play Based Therapy and Functional Communication Training in Speech-language Delayed Children

Start date: December 13, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to compare the play based therapy and functional communication training in speech-language delayed children 2-6 years old. This study will highlight the most effective intervention or therapy for Speech & Language Delayed Children. The Randomized clinical trial study will be conducted in clinic, sehat medical complex, with children who will have the diagnosis of speech and language delay. These individual will be diagnose by a speech therapist (more than 2 years experience in the field) with PORTAGE guide to early education . A group of children will be given play based therapy and the other group of children will be given functional communication training. Participants' assessments of SLD will be made using the Portage Guide to Early Education. It will take three months of sessions 5 days in a week, lasting 20 to 30 minutes. The Progress of both therapies will be seen and assessed through structured questionnaire that which technique is more effective. The individual will be assess through Speech Questionnaire on base line and after 3 months session program.

NCT ID: NCT05744726 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Post-Extraction Socket Hemostasis

Comparison of A-PRF vs Bone Wax in Hemostasis, Pain Relief and Healing Following Exodontia

Start date: January 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this clinical trial is to compare the pain relief and healing effect of A-PRF and Bone-wax in patients having mandibular tooth-extractions. The main question[s] it aims to answer are: In the perspective of improvement in pain and healing; - Does A-PRF performs better than control group? - Does Bone-wax performs better than control group? - Healing index and Pain scale score Comparison of A-PRF and Bone-wax; if one is better than the other? Participants will be asked to give resoponse to a post-operative symptom severiety (PoSSe) scale. An investigator will score the patient's extraction for hemostasis and on healing index [describe the main tasks participants will be asked to do, treatments they'll be given and use bullets if it is more than 2 items]. If there is a comparison group: Researchers will compare [insert groups] to see if [insert effects].

NCT ID: NCT05736796 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Posture Disorders in Children

Effects of Complex Training On Pain and Posture In School Going Children With Heavy Bags Packs

Start date: January 15, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

As the issues of related to heavy bag packs are increasing with every day so the complex training program along with postural training may prove to be an effective protocol in dealing with issues

NCT ID: NCT05735106 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Difficult / Failed Intubation

NC/TMD Ratio as a Difficult Airway Predictor in Obese Patients

Start date: October 21, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

To assess accuracy of NC/TM distance ratio in terms of sensitivity, specificity, negative predictive value (NPV) and positive predictive value (PPV) for predicting difficult intubation in obese patient with Intubation difficulty score (IDS) as gold standard.

NCT ID: NCT05734456 Recruiting - Tooth Plaque Clinical Trials

Comparison Between Modified Bass and Horizontal Brushing Techniques

Start date: October 4, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

The goal of this observational study is to determine mean plaque scores to compare the effectiveness after using modified bass and horizontal brushing technique in undergraduate dental students. The main question[s] it aims to answer are: - Modified bass method is less effective than the horizontal brushing technique for plaque removal in undergraduate dental students - Modified bass method is more effective than the horizontal brushing technique for plaque in undergraduate dental students. Participants will check plaque scores with the help of probe and disclosing agents after applying both techniques in a separate quadrant on the same subject. Researchers will compare modified bass and a horizontal brushing technique to see which one is reliable and more effective.

NCT ID: NCT05734027 Recruiting - Tooth Decay Clinical Trials

COMPARISON OF SECTIONAL MATRIX VERSUES CIRCUMFERENTIAL MATRIX FOR RECONSTRUCTION OF PROXIMAL CONTACT IN CLASS 2 RESTORATIONS

Start date: August 27, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Class II caries affects proximal surfaces of premolars and maintain their anatomical proximal contact of tooth, is important to avoid food impaction in the interdental area for protection of periodontium and occurrence of secondary carious lesion.Different types of Matrix band system are used to restore tooth cavities with missing proximal walls, including flat or pre-contoured bands, retainer-fixed circumferential systems, and sectional matrices, and either metal or plastic matrices which produces good contours and contacts for use with amalgam and can also be employed for insertion of composite resin. This study aimed at assessing the influence of different matricing techniques :either sectional matrix or circumferential matrix and the influence of operator experience on reproduction of optimum proximal contacts for posterior proximal resin composite restorations.

Start date: September 20, 2022
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

1. To assess the efficacy of the duration of Vonoprazan based triple regimen (one versus two weeks), in the eradication of H-pylori among patients attending gastroenterology clinics of Karachi, Pakistan. 2. To assess the improvement in the quality of life of patients receiving Vonoprazan as part of the triple regimen.

NCT ID: NCT05712616 Recruiting - Clinical Trial Clinical Trials

Role of Strontium Ranelate in Proximal Femur Fragility Fractures.

STRONG
Start date: November 1, 2021
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This study is being conducted with the aim of comparing the time to bone healing after surgery for fragility fractures of proximal femur between patients receiving strontium ranelate and placebo. Patients recruited are of 60 years of age and above. Bone healing will be assessed on clinical parameters when patient is able to ambulate full weight bearing without pain and on Xray images using RUSH score. Moreover Dexa scan will be performed pre-operatively and at 3 months postoperatively. The findings of this study will help in setting up guidelines for treatment of fragility proximal femur fractures in our population as there is still paucity of literature on effectiveness of strontium ranelate from our part of the world.
