There are about 3285 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Pakistan. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Cerebral Palsy is a neuromuscular disorder that causes multiple disabilities in an individual. Children's ability to rely on speech as a primary mode of communication can be compromised by cerebral palsy. Children with communication difficulties face many barriers to participating in everyday life and have a heightened risk of social isolation and mental health problems. So, augmentative, and alternative communication (AAC) strategies and tools are helpful for children with CP. AAC is classified into manual signs and symbols, and low, mid, and high- tech communication aids form part of a total communication approach whereby all potential modalities of communication are explored and supported. The World Health Organization International Classification of Function, Disability, and Health for Children and Youth is increasingly being used to support decision-making. The study will be carried out at Rising Sun Institute for Special Children. The study design for this study is Randomized Control Trials. The convenience Sampling Technique will be used to collect data and 16 children with cerebral palsy will be included in this study. Both males and females with the age range of 3-15 years will be included in this study. The children will be randomly assigned into groups, group A will be allocated 8 children as the control group, and in group B, 8 as the treatment/ interventional group. Dysarthric Profile will be used for assessment purposes and aided Augmentative and Alternative communication system for the intervention. The pre-assessment of the child's Early Functional development will be done. Then, the low- tech (PECS) will be used for 6 weeks for the intervention. We will take 3 sessions per week for 40 minutes for the treatment group while the control group will remain the same. After the end of 6 weeks, the post-assessment of the child's Early Functional development will also be done. This indicates the effectiveness of AAC devices in the communication of children with Cerebral Palsy. The use of AAC methods could help to reduce aggressiveness among children with cerebral palsy. Moreover, AAC-based information and tools enable them to create environments that will support or enhance the ability of people with complex communication needs to interact with family members, peers, teachers, and others.
The study is randomized and single-blinded. Ethical approval is taken from ethical committee of Riphah International University, Lahore. Participants who meet the inclusion criteria will be enrolled and allocated in group A & B through sealed envelope method by Non-probability Convenient random sampling technique. Subjects in Group A will receive Core Strengthening exercises. Group B will receive Pilates exercises.

A group of 120 school teachers (male=60, female=60) was divided into four subgroups for sixteen weeks of an interventional study. One group was kept in control while the other three groups were assigned intervention. One group was assigned intervention of lifestyle modification (LSM), the other group assigned the intervention of 5 gm psyllium husk fiber (PSH) two times a day, and the third group assigned the combined intervention of LSM & PSH. Each group comprised of 30 subjects with equal gender bifurcation (15 male and 15 female).
Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a prevalent, chronic functional gastrointestinal (GI) disorder, characterized by recurrent abdominal discomfort (pain) associated with altered bowel movements. IBS has a considerable negative impact on people's quality of life (QoL). There is currently no specific treatment available for IBS; most of the therapeutic management is symptomatic. Reported evidence suggest that BBR and CUR can alleviate symptoms of IBS through their multiple pharmacological effects including preventing stress-induced intestinal inflammation and visceral hypersensitivity, reducing bowel motility, and regulating intestinal permeability, gut microme and gut-brain axis.
Down syndrome is a condition in which a person has an extra chromosome. Chromosomes are small "packages" of genes in the body. Down syndrome (DS), also known as trisomy 21, is caused by the presence of all or part of a third copy of chromosome 21. It is named after John Langdon Down, the British physician who described the syndrome for the first time in 1866.Down syndrome remains the most common chromosomal condition diagnosed in the United States. Current study will be randomized controlled trial. Study will be approved by ethical committee. After that informed consent will be taken and patients will be included in the study based on the inclusion criteria. Sampling technique will be simple random sampling the calculated sample sizes will be 25 in each group. All participants will be divided in two groups. One group will receive treadmill training with Weighted Ankle Cuffs and second group will receive treadmill training only. Conventional therapy will be given to both groups which include isometric, strengthening exercise and trunk exercise. The exercise was given for 10 repetitions/session. Infants will receive the treadmill training protocol about 6 min/day, 4 day/week at a belt speed of 0.18m/sec. After taking informed consent baseline measurement will be taken through gait assessment rating scale and Berg balance scale for balance and Gait parameters respectively. Data will be collected before treatment and after 6 weeks. Treatment session will be performed for 1 hour per day, 4 days a week for total of 6 weeks. The difference in improvement before and after 4th weeks will be noted and compared through SPSS 26.0.
