There are about 2118 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Malaysia. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Early onset type 2 diabetes mellitus among adolescents/youth (YT2DM) is a rising phenomenon. The pathophysiology has been studied primarily on non-Asian populations while literature on incretin effect is scarce. The investigators evaluated insulin sensitivity, beta-cell function, incretin hormones and their effect in YT2DM from a multiethnic Malaysian population. The characterization of this population may enable us to better tailor their antidiabetic care.
The purpose of this study is to compare the clinical efficacy of real-time ultrasound guidance on spinal anesthesia vs the traditional anatomical landmark technique, by comparing success rate of spinal needle insertion, success rate rate of single needle pass, duration and immediate complications.
Demonstrate superiority of secukinumab over ustekinumab in treatment of moderate to severe plaque psoriasis.
The investigators aim to experimentally manipulate presence of questions on positive or negative affective attitudes to see if including these moderate as intention to become an organ donor. The methodology will be replicated across three international sites (RCSI Dublin, RCSI Bahrain, RCSI Perdana University).
This study was comprised of three substudies. The objective of Substudy 1 was to characterize the dose-response, efficacy, and safety of upadacitinib compared to placebo in inducing clinical remission to identify the induction dose of upadacitinib for further evaluation in Substudy 2. The objective of Substudy 2 was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of upadacitinib compared to placebo in inducing clinical remission in participants. The objective of Substudy 3 was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of upadacitinib compared to placebo in achieving clinical remission in participants who had a response following induction with upadacitinib.
This Phase III, multicenter, open-label, randomized, controlled study is designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the anti-programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) antibody atezolizumab compared with docetaxel in participants with locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC who have progressed during or following a platinum-containing regimen. Treatment may continue until disease progression, loss of clinical benefit, or unacceptable toxicity.
A Phase III, randomised study of atezolizumab alone and in combination with chemotherapy versus chemotherapy alone in participants with untreated advanced urothelial cancer.
This is an event driven Phase 3, prospective, randomized, open-label, blinded endpoint evaluation (PROBE) parallel group study in subjects with confirmed VTE. This study is designed to evaluate the pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) of edoxaban and to compare the efficacy and safety of edoxaban against standard of care in pediatric subjects with confirmed VTE.
The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and tolerability of esketamine nasal spray in participants with treatment-resistant depression (TRD).
The overall purpose of the study is to assess the efficacy of three different doses of BI 655064 against placebo as add-on therapy to standard of care (SOC) treatment for active lupus nephritis in order to characterize the dose-response relationship within the therapeutic range, and select the target dose for phase III development.
