Intraoperative hemodynamic management is important, since even mild variations in circulatory volume can be extremely damaging for patients. Minimally invasive hemodynamic monitoring are not always available or cost-effective, therefore management of fluids is challenging for anesthesiologists. This study aims to assess if, after performance of a lung recruitment maneuver (LRM), standard parameter's variation differs between hypovolemic and normovolemic patients. Patients' volemic state will be assessed with the Vigileo system. Standard monitoring values (heart rate, invasive blood pressure and saturation) will be registered before and after LRMs. A fluid challenge will be performed and the above mentioned parameters will be recorded again, after a second LRM. The study is a prospective observational study.

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), according to the Montreal classification, is defined as a condition that develops when the reflux of stomach contents causes troublesome symptoms and/or complications. GERD, as clinically defined by the presence of heartburn, acid regurgitation, or both, at least once a week, is a global disease, being one of the most common gastroenterological disorders worldwide that affects roughly 10-30% of the general population in the Western world and less than 10% of the Asian populations. GERD complications may be life threatening and range from reflux esophagitis to Barrett's oesophagus and, eventually, adenocarcinoma. Zinc L-carnosine (brand name in Italy: Hepilor®) is a chelate compound of zinc and L-carnosine, with a long history of more than 20 years of clinical use in Japan that has recently become available in Italy for the treatment of any condition that requires a mucosal protection and mucosal repair within the gastrointestinal tract, thus including GERD. However, clinical data in western countries are limited. The aim of this double-blind, placebo-controlled study is to demonstrate the efficacy of Zinc-l-carnosine in maintaining GERD clinical remission during a 12-week treatment.
This is a phase 1B, multi-center, dose-finding study of glofitamab administered in combination with obinutuzumab (Gazyva; [G]), rituximab (R) and standard doses of CHOP (G/R-CHOP or R-CHOP) in participants with r/r NHL and G/R CHOP or Pola-R-CHP in participants with untreated diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). Evaluating the safety, preliminary activity, pharmacokinetic (PK), and pharmacodynamic effects of this combination will be the main objectives of this study. The study is divided in two parts: - Part I: Dose finding in participants with r/r NHL; test use of G vs R in Cycle 1 - Part II: Dose Expansion. The maximum tolerated dose or optimal biological dose (MTD or OBD) will be further assessed in participants with untreated DLBCL (>18 years of age with an age-adjusted International Prognostic Index (IPI) of 2-5). Glofitamab will be studied in combination with R-CHOP and Pola-R-CHP.
Multicenter Phase II study on Decitabine-Carboplatin combination in platinum resistant ovarian cancer patients. Patients will receive study treatment until disease progression is documented, extraordinary medical circumstances occur, intolerable toxicities occur, or the patient withdraws consent.
This project aims at performing a pilot study to provide data on safety and potential efficacy of Magnetic Resonance guided Focused Ultrasound Surgery (MRgFUS) in the treatment of pain caused by trapeziometacarpal osteoarthritis (OA) and/or scaphotrapezial OA, and by hip OA, while exploring the potential application of MRgFUS to two different and central joints burdened by OA.

microRNAs (miRNAs) regulate fundamental cell processes. Dysregulation of miRNA expression and function is reported in various diseases including cancer, metabolic disorders as well as neurological disorders. Circulating miRNAs have been proposed to mirror physiological and pathological conditions suggesting their use as biomarkers for various diseases. The study will focus on a case-control study cohort (N=1000) of subjects recruited at the IRCCS Neuromed for which a deep clinical characterization and genome-wide sequencing data are available. This study will enable to identify novel circulating biomarkers for Parkinson's disease (PD). Further, the project will give new insights on the involvement of miRNAs in the etiology of PD and in the understanding of the genetics of the disease thus opening avenues for novel therapeutic strategies.
This is a Phase 1/2, multinational, open-label, study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of an intravenous infusion of GNT0003 in patients with Crigler-Najjar aged ≥10 years and requiring phototherapy. Patients will received a single administration of GNT0003 and will be followed for safety and efficacy of approximately 60 months (5 years): - a follow-up of approximately 12 months (48 weeks) - a long term follow-up of approximately 48 months (4 years), in order to be in line with the latest EMEA Guideline on follow-up of patients administered with gene therapy medicinal products, released on 22 Oct.2009 by the Committee for medicinal products for human use.
