NCT ID: NCT04847791 Recruiting - Covid19 Clinical Trials

Lactoferrin in Covid-19 Hospitalized Patients

LAC
Start date: January 14, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

TRIAL LAC is a randomized double-blind non profit multicenter study with a nutritional product: bovine lactoferrin - Mosiac 200 mg. the hypothesis to be confirmed is that bovine LF, administered daily orally in addition to standard therapies for 1 month to hospitalized patients with Covid-19 infection, can be useful to limit the severity, progression of the disease, shorten the time of swabs negativization (i.e. time required to eliminate the virus) and to reduce the morbidity load associated with it. Patient recruitment will involve 2 centers in Italy: Ospedale degli Infermi (Ponderano, Biella) and AOU Maggiore della Carità (Novara). The subjects enrolled will be randomized to two Groups: Group A (experimental arm) - Standard Anti-Covid-19 Therapy + Oral Administration of Bovine Lactoferrin (fixed dose 800 mg / day) for 30 days Group B (control arm) - Standard anti-Covid-19 therapy + Placebo administration (identical capsule with the same amount as an inert compound, starch of corn powder), according to the same pattern of use. It should be specified that the study treatment and placebo will be administered in addition to the standard care in place, and therefore in addition to all the pharmacological treatments currently used in clinical hospital practice against Covid-19.

NCT ID: NCT04847635 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Macular Degeneration, Dry

Subthreshold Laser Treatment for Reticular Pseudodrusen Secondary to Age-related Macular Degeneration

PASCAL-RPD
Start date: March 16, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Prospective, randomized, controlled, longitudinal, interventional multicentric study involving patients with reticular pseudodrusen secondary to AMD. The objective of this study is to establish the effectiveness of subthreshold laser treatment in increase/prevent the decrease of the retinal sensibility in patients with reticular pseudodrusen, and to reduce the progression of RPD to atrophy. Approximately 50 naïve patients with reticular pseudodrusen who underwent subthreshold laser treatment in perifoveal area. These patients should be randomized in the 2 study arms of the study. Patients will be evaluated at Screening/Baseline and then revaluated and retreated at month 3, 6 and 9. At month 12, all patients will be evaluated with a full ocular examination, visual acuity measurement (VA), optical coherence tomography (OCT) with autofluorescence, OCT-angiography and microperimetry. The rationale of the study is to prevent the evolution of reticular pseudodrusen to atrophic degeneration.

NCT ID: NCT04846413 Recruiting - Neurologic Disorder Clinical Trials

Voice Analysis in Patients With Neurologic Diseases

Start date: September 1, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

In this observational pilot study, the investigators will record and assess voice samples from healthy participants and those participants affected by neurologic diseases to evaluate possible differences in voice features.

NCT ID: NCT04845893 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Ewing Sarcoma of Bone

Observational Study on Skeletal Ewing's Sarcoma

EWOss
Start date: June 1, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Observational prospective trial aimed to collect the collect demographic, clinical, surgical, pathological and molecular characteristics and treatment from patients affected by skeletal Ewing Sarcoma

NCT ID: NCT04845425 Recruiting - Endometrial Cancer Clinical Trials

Analysis of miRNA Expression in Endometrial Cancer

MIRCE
Start date: April 1, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The TCGA project identified four distinct prognostic groups of endometrial carcinoma (EC) based on molecular alterations: (i) the ultramutated subtype that encompasses POLE mutated (POLE) cases; (ii) the hypermutated subtype, characterized by MisMatch Repair deficiency (MMRd); (iii) the copy-number high subtype, with p53 abnormal/mutated features (p53abn); (iv) the copy-number low subtype, known as No Specific Molecular Profile (NSMP). Although the prognostic value of TCGA molecular classification, NSMP carcinomas present a wide variability in molecular alterations and biological aggressiveness. Given that the study aims to evaluate the miRNA expression profile to identify novel potential biomarkers to better stratify the EC patients, taking into account the molecular status

NCT ID: NCT04844866 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Diffuse Large B-cell Lymphoma

DALY 2-EU
Start date: August 18, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a pivotal Phase II randomised, multi-centre, open-label study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of MB-CART2019.1 compared to standard of care therapy in participants with relapsed/refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, who are not eligible for high-dose chemotherapy and autologous stem cell transplantation.

NCT ID: NCT04844632 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Health Care Utilization

COVID19 Vaccination: Clinical, Laboratory and Cellular Monitoring

SAPIENZAVAX
Start date: February 11, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Primary objective: 1. Monitor adverse events (Adverse Event Following Immunization - AEFI) in vaccinated subjects and analyze the associations with: (a) demographic variables and anthropometric parameters (sex, age, BMI, etc.); (b) socioeconomic-cultural variables; (c) co-morbidities. Secondary objectives: 1. Monitor the antibody response in vaccinated subjects and analyze the associations with: (a) demographic variables and anthropometric parameters (sex, age, BMI, etc.); (b) socioeconomic-cultural variables; (c) co-morbidities. 2. Assess the quantity (antibody titer) and quality of the anti-Spike immune response induced by vaccination. 3. Evaluate the dynamics of the infection and the protective efficacy of the vaccine against infection / disease by studying the incidence and titre of antibodies against Nucleoprotein (N) induced by natural infection; 4. Evaluate the neutralizing capacity of sera vs. a panel of sera selected and analyzed in house and in in vitro microneutralization systems with live virus; 5. To evaluate the cell-mediated immune response (CMI) to vaccination against SARS-CoV-2 in a subgroup of vaccinees. Methodology: 1. Administration at baseline of a questionnaire for the collection of clinical data. 2. Perform a blood sample to measure antibody response in vaccinated subjects 3. Administer a questionnaire to evaluate adverse events after vaccination 4. Reassess the antibody response 1 month after complete vaccination and 6 and 12 months after the start of vaccination 5. An antibody assay will be drawn in a subgroup before subjecting the subject to the vaccine. 6. In a subgroup, the blood collected will also be collected in a heparinized tube for the study of cell-mediated immunity. 7. In the event that a subject participating in the study presents during the course of the observation the positivity for the molecular research of SARS-CoV-2 RNA to the oro-nasopharyngeal swab, a new sample will be performed and sent to the Istituto Superiore di Sanità for the search for viral variants.
