There are about 21062 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Italy. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This observational retrospective study will enroll at least 158 patients affected by Chronic Lymphoid Leukemia (CLL) with previous HBV exposure (HBsAg negative, anti-HBc positive with or without anti-HBs) treated with Ibrutinib single agent according to the IWCLL criteria 2008. Patients will be divided into two cohorts, one encompassing patients who received lamivudine and the second one including patients who received no prophylaxis. Each patient will be observed for one year from the first administration of Ibrutinib.
This study will look at how a known study medicine N8-GP works in previously N8-GP treated people with haemophilia A. The aim is to look at how N8-GP works during regular use. Participants will get N8-GP. N8-GP has been tested in more than 200 people with haemophilia A for several years. Participants will get an injection of N8-GP into a blood vessel, one, two or three times weekly. Participants will get more doses if they bleed or if they will need a surgery. The study will last for about 2 years. Participants will have at least 9 visits with the study doctor. If participants agree to be in this study, they will get their first injection (in this study) at the first visit. Participants will also get an injection at visit 3, 5 and 7. Participants will be trained to give all other injections themselves. Participants must not use any clotting factors other than N8-GP or any anticoagulants (blood thinners) during the study.
Intraoperative hypotension (defined as mean arterial pressure below 65 mmHg) is associated with increased organs dysfunction and mortality. Even short durations of reduced arterial blood pressure episodes significantly increased the risk of myocardial injury, neurological deficits, renal failure, and mortality. Hypotension rate during surgery is quite common and recent studies showed an incidence up to 60% of patients endured hypotension during anesthesia for an average of 10% of surgical time. Nowadays hypotension seems to be preventable even if current management of the hypotensive episodes is predominantly reactive and rather occurs with some delay. The investigators hypothesize that the prevention of hypotension by means Edwards Lifesciences new technology (HPI software) can improve patients outcome after surgery. The present pilot randomized clinical trial is aimed at investigating various biomarkers involved in organ dysfunction and how they correlate with different intraoperative hypotension management strategies (Invasive blood pressure monitored by a normal arterial line vs Invasive blood pressure monitored by Edwards FloTracIQ system with HPI software).
Prostatic artery embolization with Embosphere Microspheres is a relatively new procedure. The goal of this post market study is to evaluate long-term safety and effectiveness in a 'real world' setting.
Patients treated with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) require dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT). Preliminary assessment of the PRECISE-DAPT score is mandatory in order to assess the risk of bleeding while on DAPT. The score takes into consideration age, creatinine clearance, haemoglobin, white-blood-cell count and previous spontaneous bleeding. One should consider, however, that some of the variables included in the PRECISE-DAPT score might change with time. As a consequence, the PRECISE-DAPT score should not be considered a static score as it might vary after the initial computation. It remains unknown, however, if the delta PRECISE-SCORE, reflecting the change in score between baseline and follow-up, might predict more reliably the long-term bleeding risk of PCI patients.
The study is designed as a retrospective analysis of patients with relapsed/refractory FL identified by the hematological centers of Italy.
This is a 24-month, Phase III, multicenter, randomized, double-masked, sham-injection controlled study to assess the efficacy and safety of multiple IVT injections of APL-2 in subjects with GA secondary to AMD.

The study evaluates the long-term safety and tolerability of VX-445 in triple combination (TC) with tezacaftor (TEZ) and ivacaftor (IVA) in subjects with cystic fibrosis (CF) who are homozygous or heterozygous for the F508del mutation
This study will evaluate the efficacy of VX-445 in triple combination (TC) with tezacaftor (TEZ) and ivacaftor (IVA) in subjects with cystic fibrosis (CF) who are heterozygous for F508del and a minimal function mutation (F/MF subjects).
