There are about 21062 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Italy. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This is a study to demonstrate the clinical efficacy, safety and tolerability of bimekizumab administered subcutaneously (sc) compared with placebo in the treatment of tumor necrosis factor alpha-inadequate responders (TNFα-IR) subjects with active Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA).
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the efficacy of IFX-1 treatment as replacement for glucocorticoid (GC) therapy in subjects with polyangiitis (GPA) or microscopic polyangiitis (MPA).
The aim of the present study is to identify deregulated miRNAs in oncological patients with bone metastases present within the circulating exosomes and responsible for the biological mechanisms involved in the process of bone metastasis, in order to obtain a panel of biomarkers predictive of this risk. Through appropriate molecular screening methods a specific panel of significantly deregulated miRNAs will be identified; subsequently bioinformatics analyzes through the use of dedicated databases will be carried out, based on literature data and predicted protein targets in order to identify their potential role in tumor progression, and especially in the onset of bone metastases. Attention, therefore, may be focused on the individual miRNAs identified through individual analysis analyzes of gene expression. These biomarkers could also serve as therapeutic targets, allowing to improve the effectiveness of current therapies and to undertake timely and appropriate therapeutic choices, developed on the basis of the patient's molecular characteristics

This study will provide information regarding the sequential administration of two vaccines adjuvanted with AS01. The aim of this study is to understand immunogenicity and safety of NTHi-Mcat vaccine when administered sequentially after Shingrix vaccine and to compare to the immunogenicity of NTHi-Mcat vaccine administered alone. This study will also provide information regarding whether a specific time period is required between the administration of these two different vaccines containing the same adjuvant- AS01 components. The population of this study will include healthy smokers and ex-smokers of 50 to 80 years of age which will be used as a proxy for the COPD population.
We examined the feasibility and reliability of a combined echocardiographic and right heart catheterization (RHC) approach for right ventriculo/arterial (R-V/A) coupling assessment in HF patients with dilated cardiomyopathy (D-CMP).
The purpose of this study is to obtain information pertaining to the occurrence of antibodies to investigational SPK-3006 capsid and GAA, GAA activity and GAA antigen levels in the usual care setting of Late-Onset Pompe Disease (LOPD) participants on an enzyme replacement regimen. Additionally, a careful evaluation of laboratory and functional testing in patients with LOPD may provide information to better understand the disease features and better drive the design of a future interventional investigational gene therapy trial. An understanding of the underlying status of liver and muscle health in individuals with LOPD may also inform best surveillance during the conduct of gene therapy trials.
The purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy of JNJ-70033093 in preventing total venous thromboembolism (VTE) events (proximal and/or distal deep vein thrombosis [DVT] [asymptomatic confirmed by venography assessment or objectively confirmed symptomatic], nonfatal pulmonary embolism [PE], or any death) during the treatment period.
This is a single arm, open label, phase II study to evaluate the activity of avelumab (MSB0010718C) in patients with metastatic or locally advanced urothelial cancer considered unfit to cisplatin-based chemotherapy, to be conducted in conformance with Good Clinical Practices. Cisplatin-unfit patients will be defined if at least one of these characteristics is present: 1. ECOG-Performance status = 2; 2. Creatinine Clearance < 60 ml/min; 3. Grade 2 or worse peripheral neuropathy or hearing loss; 4. Previous treatment with cisplatin for adjuvant intent in six months before the progression of disease.
Post-operative pancreatic fistula (POPF) after pancreatic resection is a potentially life-threatening complication occuring in up to 27% of patients undergoing a pancreatic resection. Despite several strategies have been proposed further improvements are needed. Many studies suggest that amniotic membrane(AM) implantation is effective in tissue regeneration and prevention of fluid leakage at many surgical sites. However, the implantation of AM has never been used in pancreatic surgery. After having completed the first case of implantation of AM we proceed with this pilot study to determine in 20 consecutive patients undergone to pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD) with high risk of POPF, the efficacy of AM in reducing this event and the related morbidity.
