The Glycemic Effect of Taking a Supplementation of Orange Juice With Fibers

Start date: September 2009
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study is to investigate the glycemic effect of supplementation Fibers in orange juice. This will be a double-blind parallel controlled study. Each subject will serve as his own control. Study population will include 10 subjects. The subjects will be randomly assigned to receive one of two juices in occasion, in two visits. Each drink will be containing orange juice with\without fibers.

NCT ID: NCT00966810 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Philadelphia Chromosome-positive Chronic Myelocytic Leukemia

Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplantation in CML With Partial T Cell Depletion

Start date: December 1999
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Allogeneic stem cell transplantation, the only known curative modality for CML, was abandoned in recent years for a very effective and much less toxic targeted therapy with the tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs). However, approximately one third of patients still need another treatment including stem cell transplantation. The study protocol comprised a cohort of consecutive patients with CML who received allogeneic stem cell transplantation using partial T cell depletion, with no post-transplant GvHD prophylaxis. Forty consecutive patients with CML underwent allogeneic stem cell transplantation from a matched sibling using partial T cell depletion (TCD), in a single institution. Escalated dose of donor lymphocyte infusion (DLI) was given in case of either relapse or presence of minimal residual disease (MRD) as detected by cytogenetic or molecular analysis. The purpose of the study is to decrease transplant-related toxicity.

The Effect of 2 Months Daily Supplementation of Orange Juice With Fibers

Start date: September 2009
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The study hypothesis is that 2 Months Daily Supplementation of Orange juice with fibers will effect the weight and the plasma lipids. This will be a double-blind parallel controlled study. Study population will include 50 subjects, who will be divided randomly into two groups. The first group will get the Orange juice with fibers, and the second group will get Orange juice with out the fibers.

NCT ID: NCT00966537 Recruiting - Pregnancy Clinical Trials

The 3-Dimensional Ultrasound for Fetal Anomaly Scan

Start date: May 2008
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The aim of this study is 1) to study the clinical application of 3D/4D ultrasound for fetal scanning during pregnancy; 2) ) to study the clinical application of 3D/4D ultrasound for pelvic scanning; 3) to demonstrate how to optimally display the different organs. 4) to correlate our findings with other diagnostic tools like MRI, CT; 5) to correlate our findings with clinical outcome.

NCT ID: NCT00966394 Completed - Xerostomia Clinical Trials

Salivary Bacteria and Oral Health Status in Children With ADHD

ADHD
Start date: November 2009
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

Attention deficit and hyperactivity (ADHD) affect 6% of school-aged children. Few studies reported higher prevalence of caries and restorations among children with ADHD. Methylphenidate is the drug of choice to treat ADHD. according to the medical literature methylphenidate can cause xerostomia. Our study will investigate saliva parameters (such as quantity, bacteria in saliva, buffer capacity), oral hygiene and diet habits and their influence on caries among children with ADHD and among healthy children. Our hypothesis is: - Children with ADHD will have more caries. - Children with ADHD will have more detrimental oral hygiene and diet habits. - There will be a difference in the saliva parameters between children with ADHD and healthy children.

NCT ID: NCT00966251 Terminated - Clinical trials for Primary Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Safety and Tolerability Study of the Monoclonal Antibody CT-011 in Patients With Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Start date: October 2009
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The objective of this pilot study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability and activity of the monoclonal antibody CT-011 administered intravenously to patients with Primary Hepatocellular Carcinoma.

NCT ID: NCT00966147 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Hemodynamic Monitoring

Advanced Hemodynamic Monitoring for Goal-directed Hemodynamic Management During Radical Cystectomy

Start date: October 2009
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine whether increasing cardiac output by a combination of intravenous fluids and inotropic drugs can reduce mortality and morbidity in radical cystectomy operations.

NCT ID: NCT00965809 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Posttraumatic Stress Disorders

Add on Study on Δ9-THC Treatment for Posttraumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD)

THC_PTSD
Start date: October 2009
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a chronic and debilitating anxiety disorder which is widespread in every social level and is very prevalent in outpatient and inpatient settings. A recent open-label study showed that the synthetic cannabinoid receptor agonist Nabilone had beneficial effects abolishing or greatly reducing nightmares that persisted in spite of treatment with conventional PTSD medications. Furthermore, a big number of patients suffering from chronic PTSD report using smoked marijuana because its tranquilizing effect and sleep quality improvement. According to clinical and epidemiological data different derivates from the cannabis plant are illegally and pervasively consumed by PTSD patients in order to reduce distress. The aim of the proposed study is to broaden the previous observations and to measure the extent to which Δ 9-THC will bring to significant improvement on the full spectrum of PTSD symptoms.

NCT ID: NCT00965211 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

Evaluation of the HBDL Coil Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Device - Safety and Feasibility Study for the Treatment of Tourette Syndrome

Start date: September 2009
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is an open study.approximately 20 patients diagnosed with tourette's syndrome and under pharmAcological or psychotherapy treatments will participate.patients will be recruited from Schneider hospital and all his extensions. subjects would undergo rTMS (repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) for five days a week, for four weeks, and will be clinically evaluated in order to monitor for improvement. We anticipate a significant reduction in symptoms severity at the end of the treatment compared to study entry.
